Gosh I just realised that it's kind of difficult to tell whether Sumin is really genuinely in love with someone.
We can't even be sure for Sungji right now.
A question that I found interesting from the special chapter
Q: "Who is the fox, Sumin, Seju or Sungji?"
A: "The fox is whoever the readers wish to be. It can be either Sumin, Seongji, Seju, or all three. The story will be different depending on whom you empathize with"
What if that's a clue for the end too? Like they'll leave an open ending for the readers to interpret of how they feel like?!
If the redhead is the person Sumin was referring to when she said "I thought she's the one"
When did she say that? In this chapter?
Even if they were long term, this doesn't mean much imo. Seju probably had to interfere for two reasons. One, she knew Sumin was being cheated, and I don't find that particularly shady of her to do. I mean, if I was being cheated and poeple knew about it, I would like them to tell me.
And second, yes she did it for selfish reasons too. Two birds with one stone.
Not to mention, do you remember the scene where Sumin saw Seju's car outside her house, and said to the redhead to come in her house, only because she wanted Seju to see? If she was genuinly in love with the redhead, she wouldn't do this.
Btw guys, there is a special chapter on Lezhin and it's free to read. It's questions from fans

I don't think Sumin loved Redhead much. It seemed like one of her typical exes, I don't see how Redhead was special. Sumin did put some efford into her relationships, (despite not being in love with them, she tried a bit at least) so when she found out about her being with a guy, she asked redhead if she would break up with him, so Sumin would know whether to stay with her or not.
I don't think only Sungji will be on the third arc, but she will probably be the key or the catalyst for some situations, so her character will show more. But the other will also get screen time

I do agree with how the mole guy is a symbol. But in my opinion, the mole guy did play a part in how Sumin treats Seju after that.
Yes she probably got to resent Seju more after that. But what I mean is, even if this incident with mole guy didn't happen, Sumin "*seemed*" happy before that. She said she threw away everything from Seju and she was smilling before he got her.
But I think even if that didn't happen, Sumin would still start doing the same to Seju after a while. Mole guy made it quicker, and maybe made her hate Seju a little more, or give her another excuse to treat Seju like that.
Anyway, anyone understands what Sumin meant in the last panel with the redhead where she said
"It doesn't matter if you are an empty shell Sumin"
"It's different"
"What's different?"
Sumin replying it's different makes no sense. Different to what or who? And then Seju appears after that, and it makes me think it has something to do with her. Also noticed howthey didn't show Sungji too much in Sumin's thoughts, and I expected to show her more, maybe to hint how Sungji will be special.

it would be funny if sungji turned out not to be the innocent person we think she is kek
This is what people are counting on. I don't think she will remain the same until the end, otherwise her character will be no different than the other girls Sumin has slept with.
I also agree with 9toenails comment. I always had this feeling that Sumin's sleeping around behavior was caused, even partly, because of her feelings for Seju. All this time was frustatrating to see Sumin and Sungji, because I know Sumin was trying to escape from her past. I was like, come on, you can't pretend everything is ok everytime you find a cute girl. Her relationships are doomed to fail, unless she finally realises that.
And that is good for her relationship with Sungji too. Because, imagine if that thing with Nami didn't happen, and after a while she started acting weird and broke up with her, because she didn't face her emotions for Seju.
Also about the mole guy incident, I don't think he changed much tbh. He is just a symbol imo, for how Sumin won't forget that scar from her life. And also she won't forget Seju as well, even if she is not in love with her anymore.
After a while, Sumin would start that cycle again, even if the mole guy didn't hurt her, imo.
I'm just glad that this happened, and now things will finally start changing. At least if noone dies in the end.
To be honest, I feel sorry for all of them three right now. Even if Sumin acted like a jerk, she is pretty hurt too. Sungji also starts to be aware of it. Or maybe she always knew and tried to play it cool? It's possible.
Meanwhile, Seju has left with the thought that not even Sumin cares about her now. So while Sungji talks with Sumin, what will Seju do in the meantime?

Or...maybe more people are TeamPink in general xD Everyone respects each other's opinions so I don't think any TeamBlonde member would be scared to come.
Unless they only want to flame Seju
Sumin does indeed compare Sungji with Seju. In fact, this chapter we learned that she was comparing her ex gfs with Seju as well. And then finding an excuse like "She couldn't do it as good as you" to go back to Seju.
But, it is not clear if the difference between Seju and Sungji means this. It is also possible to be there as a symbol that Seju was bad for Sumin, even if they loved each other. And Sungji, being different, is the person that will break this cycle. But for this to happen, we need to see more of Sungji taking action from this point on.
If you consider how Gaji came up with Seju later, and the story was originally about Sumin and Sungji, this could also be a sign who is endgame.
I find it hard to believe that in the end Sungji will stay alone. My best guess now is that she will help Sumin let go of her wounds from the past and from Seju and move on. I think they will be together, but she will agree that Sumin should stay on Seju's side and help her as a friend.
But who knows...
When Sumin will finally let her cards open on the table with Sungji, this is when she will start noticing the difference between her feelings for Sungji and Seju. This was necessary to happen imo, because it would be bad writing if they simply had Sungji heal Sumin without Sumin going through a self awareness phase first. We just have to be patient to find out eventually xD
This. We have come to an agreement. (Sorry if I seemed offensive somehow. I just really like to live in possibilities xD)
Oh no, there was nothing wrong with what you said, no worries xD It's always good to discuss every different possibility. One of them gotta be the right too lol
she may be referring to being in love with Seju or to it feeling like she is -> acting like she's still in love however not being sure if she is or not thus being so upset and confused... I mean if she's still in love with Seju does this means she loves both Sungji and Seju at the same time? if so who does she love more?
I think the fact that the authors chose the phrasing "in love" instead of simple "love" that could be interpreted with different ways was not a mistake. Isn't thinking that you are in love with someone, actualy being in love with them? xD At least at that moment you think of it. I'm saying this objectively, teams aside. Of course there is a possibility that she's confused, but if we consider their pasts and how she's being acting during these years, her failed relationships and how she was always coming back to Seju, the possibilitt she actually means it are quite high imo.
I still have no idea why I thoroughly read this every week, even if this whole manhwa (and not just TeamPink) sails dangerously close to the Vermuda Triangle (no pun intended. Seriously no triangle ending pls)

Nah, this doesn't mean they will end up together. I just think that the phrasing in the end was pretty clear of what Sumin meant. Not ambiguous or room for a different interpretion, unless the translation was wrong, or Gaji is trying to mislead us and they change and strech it differently on the next chapter.
But right now, this is clear.
I know, it sounded impossible to me too for Sumin to still be in love with Seju, but it's pretty clear what she said.
Seju said "If feels like you are still in love with me"
And then Sumin thought "You are right" "What you say is right"
Of course this doesn't mean she can't love Sungji more, or realise later that this is different. But for now this seems to be the case inside her head

There is a fine line between aknowledging the moments you spend with a person and that what you felt at that tme was real, versus still being in love with them, but because you know you won't be able to be together, consciously making an efford to move on to another person.
Remembering the good moments and choosing to not be bitter about it, thus that person still holding a spot in your heart because they used to be a part of your life, is actually moving on. But in Sumin's situation, right now, this doesn't seem the case.
I think she is able to move on from Seju and be in a healthy relationship with Sungji, but not in this moment. She admitted she is still in love with her. Not just simply love her as a person that was part of her life.

And even if it's a romantic love, it doesn't exclude the possibility that Sumin will also love Sungji, maybe choosing the last in the end. You can love someone dearly and still have a long lasting and fulfilling relationship with someone else (at least in my opinion xD)
I think it's a bit unfairfor the person you're in relationship with though. Well, maybe if they know and agree it's ok. But not sure if Sumin would go to Sungji and tell her that she still loves Seju but wants to stay with her.
These situations alays feel like a rebound to me, and Sungji hasn't done anything wrong to be the rebound. Also, Sungji's position now is difficult. I honestly feel bad for her, because Sumin carries a lot of baggage, and if they stay together, there is apossibility that not only Sumin won't heal, but Sungji will get hurt too.
So far Sumin has been hiding a lot from her. I just feel like it would be too much for Sungji to handle.
At least Sumin has to completely solve her mess out before moving on. Good thing is, she has finally aknowledged it, which is the first step.
Wow...this is still confusing, reading Sumin's thoughts. It's ambiguus why she kept coming back to Seju, and what her true feelings really are.
Some thing s that I got though
-She did feel guilty for hurting Seju
-She tried to erase Seju completely, but that scar mole guy gave her, symbolises that she is not able to erase her. maybe this is also an indicator for the future. That they might make amends but don't lose touch, even if they both move on
-She clearly admits she is still in love with Seju So now we have to see what happens with Sungji. It seems she is already sensing something's going on

Thanks Newp :D
goes back to reading
Thanks Newp for summary! :D
Maaybe this will be the turning point, because right from the beggining I've been feeling that Sumin's relationship was a little deeper with Seju.
Sungji is a fresh start, but they still don't know a lot about each other for their bond to be stronger. Third arc will reveal it I guess. Maybe the twist will come from Sungji
However, I doubt Gaji would be brave enough to make Sumin break up with Sungji and go back to Seju, TeamBlonde fans sure would burn her house and TeamPink fans wouldn't even bother to help call firefighters.
That's true though lol. Because we have been preparing ourselves for the worst all this time, and if anything happens, it will take TeamBlonde by surprise for sure.
The situation is pretty fucked up now though.
When I first read wdtfs quickly (back in November), I didn't understand what was going on exactly. I thought Seju wasn't so important and I was like, why do they show her so much? And I wanted Sumin to stop seeing her and go with Sungji lol. Because I didn't even know the black backgrounds were past and it was confusing. But then when I realised what was going on, I got hooked.
At this point I think I will be able to handle evrything, except Seju dying. It is possible since Sumin doesn't seem able to let her go...

Lately, the writing seems to be all over the place. What the chapter! But it's fun to read since it becomes impossible to guess what's gonna happen next or which Team's gonna end game.
I think that's what they're trying to do. Because it was so obvious TeamBlonde was endgame from the start, so now they make things a little more interesting.
But, since this has already started I still believe my first impression of them. Even if Sungji is the purest character, her and Sumin seem to have some significant differences. Not because of the age, but their mentality. Also Sumin is pretty messed up, could Sungji really handle all of this baggage, especially longterm?
To me it seems that's it's hard for her to let go of Seju. I mean, she could move on, but I don't think that she will ever feel indifferent towards her. And this is why Sungji and Sumin is still not 100% right for me. Because would it be ok to be with Sungji, while deep down she still has feelings for Seju?
I'm really confused about what is going on in this chapter. What the hell was this in the end? It's confusing because the flashbacks are supposed to have a black background, not simply a black text box. Tbhis usually means the scene happens now, but the black text means they are thinkinng of something from the past.
But that would mean that Sumin and Seju slept together now, but I don't think this would go so far as her cheating on Sungji.
Also she met themole guy? The hell...I wonder why she didn't pursue him when he marked her with a sword.
Also pretty sure Sumin is a nymphomaniac lol
Wow, so it seems Ssamba is pretty sick :/ I'm hopeful though, I know she will come back at some point
Last arc is Sungji, and I guess this is where she will learn the whole sttory about Sumin's past. I think we might get an idea of how this will end when the third arc begins
No, no, listen, Nami and Seju tried to sleep together (not sure if it worked at all even because they didn't show it, I guess they started and they stopped...). Seju also tried to sleep with Nami (in this case nothing at all happened). Sumin and Seju are not in a relationship. Just like Seju doesn't have a say in what Sumin does with Nami; Sumin shouldn't have a say either. But apparently she does.
But isn't the definition of "other woman" a woman who someone from a couple is cheating their partner with? That's what I meant that Nami is not the other woman, since neither Seju nor Sumin cheated with Nami
Sumin having angry sex with Sungji is the least she can do to Sungji right now. If she doesn't hurt her, at leasst she should start talking about her past with her. A couple should share these important stuff with each other to strengthen the bond and trust each other.
The reason they showed Nami and Sumin sleeping together was to highlight the double standard to the reader, by the 'other woman" being the same woman (Nami) in both instances. If you think of the context of both instances, It's meant to really drive home the lopsided hurtful and selfish balance of power between Sumin and Seju. (not to say that it's completely on only one of them)
Isn't the other woman when someone cheats with that woman? In both instances, neither Seju nor Sumin cheated on each other with Nami. I don't think they thought so deeply on adding this scene to be honest. They just like mixing couples.
I was like cheering for Seju when she finally talk back to Sumin and made her realize that she's not the only one who's hurting in their relationship. Sumin literally talk to Seju like she's trash.
Exactly. To be honest this chapter made me dislike Seju and Sumin together, because of how Sumin crossed the line of being an asshole to Seju. It was a big turn off.
But did Sumin realise how hurt Seju actually is? Seju should be more assertive when she was saying these things to her, but she seemed a little passive about it again. We've come to a point where Sumin's character needs to be redeemed. And on top of that, who knows what she's going to do to Sungji now.

So I read the whole chapter one more without rushing it. I have to say, I like how Seju finally said what she thinks to Sumin. How Sumin's behavior is really hurting her. Also now that Nami said that Sumin has still feelings for Seju, I hope Sumin finally admits it to herself so she can move on.
Last chapter Sumin said Sungji is coming over in the noon, but then Sumin went to Seju's house. Not sure if she lost her date with Sungji, or she went earlier to Seju's and then she'll be meeting Sungji again.
Either way, I think next chapter there will be Sungji noticing how Sumin seems off.
Saddest part is, Seju was happy when she first saw Sumin inside her house. The dissapointment is worse like this
