Actually trans means over, beyond. Contra means opposite.

Uh, no.

As a prefix, it means either across, like in Transatlantic, or changed, like in Transform.

Both can apply to transgender, depending on the meaning to attach to the word.

According to my latin dictionary, “trans” is a prefix occurring in loanwords from Latin and denoting any of these meanings: “across,” “beyond,” “through” or “changing thoroughly.”

So, yeah.

What's with this author and the color yellow? I've seen several stories by Kobayashi Kina where the pages are normal black-and-white pages except that seemingly random spots in seemingly random panels are colored yellow...

Why so few comments? Is it because the author is one Kathy Diaz instead of a real nihonjin doujinshika?

Boo, discrimination!

The hypersexualization of the girls here is so exaggerated that it’s amusing. They look like they’re always sexually frustrated (maybe they are).

Exaggerated? Realistic is more like it. It's not often that we get to see the sexuality of girls at the time of puberty depicted in such a lifelike way.

Perhaps you have forgotten how you yourself were when sexual hormones started erupting into your bloodstream for the first time...

This series is amazing. It has 13-years-old girls lusting like crazy after other girls (schoolmates, women in the street, gravure idols in magazines...) and it has 13-years-old girls masturbating with showerheads and having explosive orgasms. I think only Ayame 14 went this far before... and that was a manga about 14-years-old girls, so Skeeter Rabbit beats it by one year.

I second your commendation of Ayame 14. That really is one amazing manga, both incredibly sexy and incredibly funny. (Also, one noteworthy difference with Skeeter Rabbit: the author of Ayame 14 is a woman and she writes for a female audience!)

And the art is super good. Normally, you only find art at this level of quality in series expected by the publisher to be major hits with the readership. I wonder if Young Animal has really high expectations for the success of this manga?

It's the "level of quality" of the best and most expensive porn manga, lol. I know what I'm talking about, I have read a lot of ecchi manga in my life and I recognize the style. And, you know, it's not that surprising, actually, as porn is the genre in which this author (Uran) specializes.
I for one am really glad to see a yuri manga made with such lavish, detailed art.

hey i know you where almost raped but im going to black mail you for no real reason, ok?

That's the thing that bugs me the most: NO REAL REASON.

Those thugs were going to slaughter poor Gin, that's clear as day. At first, when they thought he was a girl, they were going to rape him; but after realizing he was a guy in drag, they were totally and absolutely going to beat him to a pulp. Y'know, to vent their anger.

But Asa rescued Gin. She chased away the thugs, all by herself. She was really cool and courageous. And then she took him to a nice bar, offered him a drink, befriended him, gave him tips about crossdressing...

Gin simply can't refuse her ANYTHING at that point of things.

But then, without any warning, Asa turns baddie and starts threatening him and blackmailing him. WHY?? Why the hell??? Gin would have said yes, out of gratitude, to whatever favor she asked of him. He'd have done it, no matter how crazy. This development makes no sense at all. It's like the author, halfway through her story, suddenly decided to turn Asa into a heel just because. Srsly, it sucks.

If we have to pick one category, "sexy comedy" is the right tag.

A sexy comedy that sometimes uses 4-koma narrative tools to play with the pacing for humorous effect.

[scene from Is My Hobby Weird]
Moving from heavy petting to kissing is not so easy, my dear lady.
Kisses are important.

While character development was necessary to get past the issue, the analogy is inaccurate. (Is My Hobby Weird? Spoilers) When Maiko declines the kiss, arguing that kissing is supposed to be special, it's not because Risa isn't special to her or she doesn't want to kiss Risa. Quite the opposite: Maiko doesn't think of herself as Risa's equal, but more as a fan, so she doesn't think she herself is special enough to Risa. Also, Risa was only saying that stuff about kisses being a greeting to her because she wanted to kiss Maiko, and she agreed to kiss Fumi to make Maiko jealous (at least at first). Once both Maiko and Risa know their feelings are mutual and everything is cleared up between them, Maiko is no longer against kissing. To summarize, kissing was delayed because of a misunderstanding, not because they didn't want to do it.

Oh, I know. But I think you missed my point. There is a generally accepted order for these things. First get to know each other, have a couple of dates, then kiss. Start with chaste kisses, then more passionate kisses. Then move into petting. Light petting, then heavy petting. Then, at some point, shed clothes and work the private parts with hands and mouth. Most people would agree that this is how a relationship has to progress. Now, the amusing thing about both of these manga series is that this (seemingly natural) progression of things is totally & completely messed up. In "Sekai de Ichiban Oppai ga Suki!" we have naked hugging, fondling of naked boobs, face-in-boobs games, and we came close to breast sucking... and yet, they still have to kiss. In "Is My Hobby Weird?" it's even more extreme: they start by eating each other's pussies, then move into hugging and petting each other's naked bodies... and then, when someone wonders if they have already kissed, Maiko goes 'Whoa, sister, that's serious stuff! We're not that close!' So there you have the basis for my analogy. Clear enough?

Sad. Either route this manga goes is bad. Unrequited lesbian love vs. Wife who cheats. Meh.

Then the Wife Who Cheats agrees to elope with you, and, when she asks where the two of you should go, your reply is: "To the Moon."

I wonder how many of y'all can identify that reference. ^.^

You are referring to Jacky Gleason's famous euphemism for beating his wife Alice. Dark, but kinda funny.

I believe she's referring to "Fly me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra and Count Basie, which was also the ending song of Evangelion (sung by the girls in the cast, a different version every episode). The song is about absolute love, quite fitting for Mikage/Suwako's story of love triumphing over political correct clichés and prejudiced fake wisdom.

Dears Mses. Chiaki & Hana:

Wouldn't this be a good time to try a KISS, you incredible dorks?

I can't believe it. You've already had a together-in-a-locker scene, and a kabedon scene, and all these romantic moments of opening your hearts to each other, but nobody has even thought about kissing yet? Wtf is wrong with you two?

You got all your bases mixed up. >_<

Kissing, eh?

Well?

Does this answer your question? ( ͡° ل͜ ͡°)

you know this shit is good when the author uses the same joke every chapter and somehow make it enjoyable every single time.

It's the "Tonari no Seki-kun" of boob groping!

I hope it goes on like this for like twenty more volumes or so.

Haha, good call.
My Neighbor Seki and this manga have a lot in common.
Every chapter, a new classroom game, a new way of groping boobs.

When I make a quote (using the 'Quote' button) I never get that. The name of the person I'm quoting never appears at the start of the quote. Like right now, see: the quote above doesn't have "Nevri posted:" on top...

Harumi's gay/bi mom was a brilliant addition to this manga.

and

Also, she (the mother) is apparently lesbian too. xD

Not gay. Not lesbian. Bi. Just that. Bi.
She's a married woman with a child. She's turned on by cool sexy girls. That makes her the same flavor of vanilla bi that most Japanese girls are (if we judge by manga & anime).

I'm trying to recall the name of a certain series I read a long time ago. I think it was a 4-koma series, at least some of the chapters were. I don't remember much, except this one chapter where two schoolgirls who are dating have a long make-out session in the bedroom of one of them.

It was like this: the shorter girl, who is a bit of a burikko (refers to herself by her name), invites the taller one to her place, and when they are in her bedroom they get on the bed and start kissing. It's their first time doing it, and they keep at it for most of the chapter, all the while thinking about the effect the kisses have on them: the sensations, the feelings, how exciting it all is, and so on. At the end, the burikko says: "So-and-So (her own name) loved this!" The other girl tells her that, next time, she will give her an even more stimulating kiss; and the burikko cutely replies: "If it's more stimulating... So-and-So will faint. ♡" And the other girl almost explodes from the moe overdose.

I feel like reading it again, but I really can't recall the name of the manga...
