It does feel lacking, yes. It's vague enough that there could be more between these two, but at this point it feels more like hidden one-sided feelings and just being friends for now. Yuri Moyou's youngest couple did this much better in exactly as many pages of their first chapter.

Oh, you just don't notice the bodyguards. If Sasameki Koto is any indication, half the crowd around there are actually her bodyguards. :P

I have to admit, I am a bit disappointed with Koguma in this chapter, though. When Hino is unmotivated, you obviously use the motivation button.

Anyone got a manga where the characters deal with the real life implications of being a lesbian, like parents not accepting, having to deal with friends backlash and stuff like that, preferably with a good ending?

As for Chapter 47, I'm willing to bet that it's a dream of some kind, given that not only does Nikaidou call Tadokoro by her first name, but she shows up in a limo (which Tadokoro thinks is out of a movie), and there's a sudden overtly romantic atmosphere without any buildup whatsoever.

We've already been told about Nikaidou's "unique" family situation, though, and the rest is quite fitting as well, seeing how this is a date.

I wonder where do ya'll draw the line.

I don't think this is what a real kid's reaction is like, or am I just out of touch with how the new generation thinks?

Pretty sure they don't unless an adult literally exposes them to it. And if they do understand, most likely than not, they're reaction is 'eww gross'. Kids have more than enough attention that they wouldn't need a lover. The only reason people get lovers is to distract themselves from the stressors of adulting; teenagers because of hormones. At least, that's what I think.

People seriously underestimate kids. I myself used to, until I took a moment to remember what we ourselves were like back in the day. Even a slow bloomer like me was thinking about such things at that age, most kids I knew were already talking about sex-related things even earlier. And this in the 80's in an Estonia that was still under Soviet occupation and where there certainly was nothing like the rather easy access to such materials we have now.
