I re-read the chapters again and noticed something. Do the characters here really not use honorifics?
Or is it just the translation?

I took a look at the vol. 3 raws, and it seems to me that Shimamura and Adachi normally don't honorifics for each other. But the translation also seems to omit the occasional honorific that does appear in the raws. I personally don't mind; I think it fits the story's atmosphere, plus I'm used to it by now.

Except what a little weird about the character sheet is, is the fact that they switched the height differences of them both.

Also I really don’t get why so many people are complaining about ‘rape’. Yeah it felt a little forceful on Saika’s part, at the beginning of the story, and it would have been pretty bad if Maria didn’t like it, but the entire time they were having sex she was super into it. She liked it beginning to end, so I don’t see how anyone could call this rape.

This is extremely well done, especially being as short as it is. Not a single panel wasted.

I still can't get over how apparently she has 2 rings thru the side of her tongue. Man those would get bitten out SO fast irl.

Maybe she does bite them off but they heal, so then she has to pierce it again. Then bite again, heal, pierce, and so on.

It wasn't because Shimamura is also a clothes store and Shima herself said it multiples times that everybody tell her thatso we assume that her name was from the store.

I was aware of that, but Hougetsu seems to be pretty rare as a given name, in fact, on Jisho, Meiji theater man Shimamura Hougetsu is the first result (and only full name result) when you search "Hougetsu". And with that feeling, I thought maybe the author was referencing something with the choice, though it could still be a coincidence.

Shimamura, Hogetsu 島村抱月 (1871 - 1918)

I think you're giving them too much credit in terms of self-awareness, which seems to be in short supply in this series in general. (Speaking as someone who enjoys the series.)
