Yuri on Steam? Can we dare to hope?

Is that really yuri or that motherfucking subtext-pussyfooting?

Curator gives info, a few subtext, some have actual girl x girl romance routes.

I have not played em myself tho, only the Sono Hanabira one. And I snooped around another called BackStage Pass has a yuri route (you can see the CG of the yuri route in the community hub), tho seems like its a tedious game. Sakura Fantasy Chapter 1 is yuri-fanservice, so far no actual romance.

I don't know much about anything else other than what the curator noted on them.

EDIT: there is also Starlight Vega on greenlight, will have actual yuri, who popped around the forums here quite a while ago. Played a bit of the demo and it seemed interesting enough.

Did you try Pixiv? "Female Admiral" and "Yuri" are both tags you can search for.

I avoid pixiv for my own sanity, since the site basically loads at 5-15 kbps for me, I rather not use it at all.

Em, no. You don't need antagonist for plot/characters to progress. It is the easiest way to do so though.

A series does not have to be fanservice-y to get a lot of faceless rape and fetish doujins, a lot of the series that get tons of yuri here have their share of that, believe it or not.

Funny enough some of the stronger recent yuri series do not. Yuru Yuri? Barely any. Sakura Trick? Neither. Yuri Bears? Haven't seen any big het doujin for them.

Don't see much yuri doujin of those either.. Yuru Yuri stuff doesn't seem to pop up so frequently nowadays. Sakura Trick barely had any (aside from that small collection/anthology we got here) only find 3 results in exhentai and 1 of has a bunch of faceless men. Yuri Bears barely even has any doujin (theres like what? 3? 4?).

I just wish there was yuri doujins for the recent stuff... One would actually expect that, pointlessly I guess.

I feel like there's too much sex and not enough plot lol. But still, the art is awesome and it's a welcome change from all these angsty yuri mangas which only rely on subtext and where you never get a satisfying end. At least we know that here, there's a happy ending with lots of yuri sex. :D

well, its straigh-up hentai, from an artist that just does hentai. Ratio of sex per page like this is pretty common in those... except that it is rarely ever yuri-only.

A series does not have to be fanservice-y to get a lot of faceless rape and fetish doujins, a lot of the series that get tons of yuri here have their share of that, believe it or not.

Problem actually is that for quite a while a lot of the new series that have strong subtext or actual yuri don't get many doujins, or at least nobody uploads if they even exist. So we basically rely on yuri doujin artist to do something...

I think it would be a good starting point to start from Maidens of St. Michael, as a first localization VN, since it has all the couples. Who knows though. I was surprised they decided to go with the All-ages first, since I'm sure they knew they weren't gonna get as much as if they localized one of the 18+ ones.

Yeah, as cute as How We Met was, that one would've been better too. Has some of what I like from the new generation: couples from previous games sometimes interacting with the main couple, as support characters, even introducing them.

Woulda liked even a version with the h-scenes ripped off... It was probably easier to get an all-ages VN on Steam. But oh well, hope they are still encouraged to officially release more.
