I think this is the best point. Tags are a function primarily of the search engine and are used to find content. Categorization is secondary, though is part of searching for what you want. I think it helps to consider tags from the PoV of the user searching for content. If you're searching futa, you won't find it here. If you're searching trans, this isn't what you're looking for. But it should probably come up in a yuri search.

If you think tags should be used primarily as a content warning or description, you risk ruining or polluting the search engine and hurting access to the massive yuri archive here.

On that note, you're not really going to find ecchi here either, which is generally like a weird layer applied to an entire work. Just a few NSFW panels.

I also love the disruption of everyday life here.

I vote against tags which spoil. In this case it ruins a huge part of the emotional delivery of the story.

This doujin is so brilliant. I dunno how the literal events fit together, but that it works and tells two completely different, coherent stories, with each negative, tension-building feeling/emotion of each panel reversed from the first story, is really impressive! And that the translation retains all of it too! This was a fantastic release

This looks very unique, but at the same time, a series so focused on language means that I'm basically reading a different series than what a Japanese reader would. Unsure how to feel about that.

Anything you read, even in a mythic perfect translation, would be a completely different experience for readers of different countries and backgrounds, this is just one other factor. And those works, in their non native languages, have been massively influential.

Unfortunately, that one seems out of the question because Tone-sensei's first pairing is implied to be a true love situation. And it would mean there were never any such situations before. I'm banking on that reincarnation theory from before, it still seems to fit as the likely resolution to all these issues.

I also kinda wanna break up the rose-tinted yuri goggles and remind everyone that chapter 2 was a decidedly explicit rape fantasy. Which isn't wrong, and is even common with vampire fiction, but was still pretty unsettling and undermines that whole idea of Iris as the pure hearted maiden. That tone split was present from the beginning.

We had the same discussion. Results remain inconclusive until later chapters come out since it's hard to deal with foreshadowing without being able to contact the author. It's set up so it could be either, which is probably how it was meant to be and will for sure be one or the other in time.
