Your age brackets overlap. For example, if someone is 25, they could rightfully select either 20-25 or 25-30. This seems like a pretty elementary error in survey design.

This is the most generic yuri manga ever written. it is like a template for 80% of yuri mangas out there. Like a writer presenting a proof of concept to an editor. Like a paper form filled with random names. Like somebody combined over 9000 schoolgirl yuri works out three into one and came up with this. It is like a yuri fanfic by a 16 year old.

Rather than "generic", perhaps you mean "Platonic Ideal". This is the closest approximation of how "yuri oneshot" is expressed in the unearthly realm of pure forms.

Yeah, there's a reason all the robots are named after Czech cities.

Maybe it's not that she's come back from the dead as an angel to fulfill unfinished wishes, but instead she just made a deal with the devil to recover from her illness and be able to fly to her sister. Then there might be a happy ending. Until their souls are forever damned, but that would be outside the scope of the manga.

Why insult someone just for misunderstanding a story?

It's not for misunderstanding the story. It's for
1) deciding to look at the pages of a story without understanding the language,
2) coming to an almost comically incorrect conclusion,
3) assuming it's somehow the absolute truth and not just a mistaken impression,
4) coming here to share this impression with others, and
5) reporting it as if it were fact (as you can see in their earlier post, no mention of being unable to actually read the book, just insisting that whatever they got from looking at the pictures is the truth).

Misunderstanding something is forgivable. But I think anyone who foists their obvious misunderstandings upon others and promotes them as facts should be called "dumb". Also, the poster included this in their second post:

major spoilers assuming i'm not a dumbass and wrong

I'm merely confirming what they already suspect about themselves.

Also, agreed, more lesbian robots would be nice. I like this one because she feels way more like an actual AI than usual, but The Ocean Meets the Sky and Linkage are really good too.

The one about Chika-chan getting married to a guy is bullshit. It turns out Chika-chan was a robot all along. Never believe spoilers read in comments sections.

I agree, the obsession with high school is pretty annoying. Just for the sake of variety, it's nice to see works about adults. Also, being an adult, it's more relateable rather than reading about foolish emotional teenagers all the goddamn time.

Plus there's that tired formula of events - entering the school in spring, midterms, summer vacation, fall festival, Christmas and New Years, Valentines Day, a new year with new classes, etc. Mangaka outsource their plot writing (as well as character development, half the time). It's like each series is a pre-written form letter where the author just fills in a few blanks and sells it as something new.

Of course, there are some quite good stories in school settings. And even the forumlaic garbage can be fun. That's just a rant that has nothing to do with this story, whatsoever. Mochi Au Lait tends to follow the cliches, but plays around with them a bit so at least they're funny, and still cute.

She says "Don't tell your sister" not "Don't tell anyone" - presumably because she reasonably assumes her friendship might get awkward if the older sister knows she kissed the little sister (or because she's dating the older sister and doesn't want her to know she's cheating on her - there is zero evidence that this is the case, but it would be kinda funny if that's how the story turned out).

To me, this is just another of those things that might be creepy if it happened in real life, but since it's in a manga, it's just cute. The little sister does say she liked it, so there's that.

Doesn't "6th grade" in Japan refer to "end of middle school"? So that would put her what, about 13-14? I'm thinking sister and friend are somewhere in the 16-18 range by the looks of them, so it's not that huge in terms of age.

The sudden forced kiss out of nowhere was kind of a dick move though.

6th grade is the final year of elementary school. She's either 11 or 12.

I think the author is showing us that they're fine spending time with other people too. Presumably they have plenty of alone time (at least that's the impression I got from the first several comics in the series and their backgrounds).

The relationship with Suzuki is clearly not confrontational - if they really wanted her to leave them alone, they'd probably let her know. Or just refuse her entry to their homes.

Most importantly, it's cute. Therefore, it's fine.

My theory is that Satou, being raised by a real professional at bringing out the deviancy in people and having awoken to her natural talent, both attracts addled love and inspires her admirers and competitors to further insanity through her personal charisma.

Or it's just the the premise of the series, with no in-story explanation. Satou's journey requires her to vanquish one lunatic after another, showing that she alone is truly in love, and more horribly insane than any of her would-be rivals. They exist simply because they must.

Just read chapter 19, WELL THEN. Guess we know who's apartment that is now.

And out of nowhere too. There was that in media res beginning that had up till now been a complete mystery, and then after all the build-up last volume making us think it was her aunt's corpse in the bag, it's suddenly cleared up in a flashback with no warning whatsoever.

This author loves jerking us around. And you know, I don't mind it one bit.

I dunno what you all are talking about, that was just plain cute. Did Saki ever look at all sad about the situation? No. Did she complain? No. She's just happy to be spending time with Minori and seeing her at her cutest.

There's also zero indication that she's hopeless or forlorn. Just because your crush has a crush on a goddamn pop star doesn't mean they won't also love you back. Crushes on celebrities are different than real love. If anything, Saki should be happy that the celebrity Minori has a crush on is a girl, since it indicates she has a shot.

I dunno, for me one of the things about the manga that I like is about how inconvenient feelings are and how hard they are to deal with. I'd be more frustrated with an ending with a relationship between the wife and sister, since I think one where Uta has to mature and deal with the fact that her feelings won't be able to be returned is a lot more interesting, and I think the more important/interesting story.

Agreed, that is an important part of it, and why a conventional happy ending wouldn't be doing the story justice. There aren't many stories of falling in love with someone, realizing a relationship is impossible, and then just suffering through it, but that happens all the fucking time in real life. Uta's case is way worse than most in terms of its sheer inconvenience, but it's still something that most people go through. Right now this is a convincing story about how she deals with it, and it's pretty good.

It'd be more dramatic if something does happen between her and her sister-in-law, and only then does she realize that her feelings are impossible. But it wouldn't necessarily be better.

Or, you know, I felt there were too much flags in this chapter about the brother travel and Kaoru worried about it. Although it would be pretty cheap development if he dies or something, but it could happen.

I think it's more likely that Kaoru and Uta kiss or something while he's gone and then feel bad when he gets back. But he might die. That'd be out of the blue, but maybe could lead to interesting development also. Or what if they hook up while he's gone, feel terrible about it, and then he dies on the way home? And Kaoru's pregnant? That would be the most extreme soap opera-esque plot development imaginable.

I'd prefer it if Kaoru and Uta hook up. I think it'd feel like a natural progression - Kaoru, though very much in love with Reiichi, does seem to be lonely quite often and quite fond of Uta. Plus it'd probably be full of nice drama. I imagine such a situation would end badly for everyone involved, since the lies and betrayal necessary for this to happen weigh heavily on a relationship, but it'd be great fun to read about.

However, I think I'd rather have the story just end with the main character alone than take an easy way out for a convenient happy ending. Like if it's suddenly revealed that the brother is unfaithful or otherwise "deserves" to be cheated on, relieving the moral and psychological burden on Kaoru and Uta for any relationship they have. Or if the main character gives up and immediately hooks up with some other person who randomly fell in love with her. That'd feel too cheap and unrealistic.

I really have no idea where this is going.

This. And I don't know if this is a good thing or not.

I think it's the story's strength. We're presented with a situation that feels real, and it hasn't developed into any of the more obvious cliches (yet). The object of her love is happily married, her best friend refuses to show any signs of being secretly in love with her, and her older brother isn't a two-faced asshole.

She's in an unfortunate but believable position, and it's unclear how it will all end up. Maybe she'll just give up on her one-sided love some day, and the story will end.

I'm still curious as hell as to who Nadeshiko's in love with. I know it's Yuru Yuri, so I know it'll most likely never be mentioned... but c'mon, throw a chick a bone here.

I'm still betting on the stupid girl she always makes fun of. Seems to be the kind of pairing Namori likes. Plus, right after they visit her at her job and mock her by writing "we're going to the movies after this" on the check, Nadeshiko sets up a movie date "I know you love movies". Could be we're just being teased, but...

I am really not sure who is speaking on page 30

I think you might have the wrong page. No one's speaking on page 30. Assuming you mean page 29, the round bubbles are Ruriko while the wavy bubbles are Akane.
