I dunno. The first manga followed the LN almost exactly; those things that weren't said were faithfully depicted, backgrounds and all, most of the time.

Since Pall is literally sucking the life out of of her every time she kills a bird, does that mean if Pall dies she gets her lifespan back?

Wellll, I mean, if it's like this already from the start, it stands to reason that the trend will continue. Since it seems like the newest version is more interested in covering more content at once, and losing a lot of subtlety.

Oh and I wonder if Yashiro is gonna be cut out completely or if just that scene, taking her out will definitely pick up their pace romantically.

So far it seems like Yashiro has been retconned out of this version. Personally I have no issue with that. I don't mind drama but I don't care for random drama, and that is basically what that little blue weirdo was.

Anyway. Like I said to sneik, I am not so sure that I am liking this version as well as the first one, because the way it has been rewritten seems to change the personalities of Adachi and Shimamura somewhat. Adachi is more confident and much less an awkward and useless baby lesbian. Shimamura is a lot less oblivious.

As for naming convention, perhaps label the old version as "original" and make a note about it on its page, and this one as "new" or something similar.

Acchan was just waking up, and remembering people from the past I think. It shows the picture frame that is toppled over, near some pill bottles(?) and one that clearly has several people. She's waking up, seeing that same old ceiling (light), and realizing her reality again; hence the tearing up. But then Rii pops in and reminds her that she hasn't lost everything completely.

So... like... these girls just never go to the bathroom...? If they don't even know they can take their britches off..? lol....

It's explained in the official artbook everything clips through their clothes.

I have literally never seen an episode of the anime nor read any of the manga, so it's not so odd that I have never read about stuff in the artbook.

Where can I get some fancy clothes I don't have to take off? Real clothes are so inconvenient.

I only follow this one kind of tangentially, because I had a hard time liking any of the characters, and even initially pretty much just hated the hell out of Seju; if anyone sees any of my very early posts about it that's obvious, lol. Changed my mind later but... I didn't like how the main story resolved. That said... about the latest chapter...

Not necessarily correcting you, but having bases in the area has more value than just keeping those pesky Japanese in line (sarcasm). We have a lot of enemies in the region between NK and China, so having a presence there helps us support our allies, and our national interests.

Oh, aye, I understand that too. I misspoke. "Particularly unnecessary", I meant as "(viewed as) particularly unnecessary". As in, there is some underlying resentment that they are there, because of the original circumstances that made it so that they were put there. That was my bad. World politics are hard.

It's interesting to see american military bases brought up in a yuri manga. I don't think I've seen them brought up in any other manga or anime I know of.

As far as I know they are usually a kinda touchy subject. Aside from being particularly unnecessary after so many years, apparently there is a bad reputation surrounding the personnel. Seems there's a stigma surrounding the presence of American soldiers in the areas around, but off, base, especially with regard to comparatively boorish behavior, and even more significant or violent crime not commonly seen on Japanese soil.

Or I don't know what I'm talking about and someone will come and correct me in short order.

I'm with Delphi. I hate that story too. It's about how two angsty teenagers manage to get others killed and then die themselves over the course of 3 days, more or less. It's not romantic, it's tragic stupidity. lol

This is, first and foremost, indeed Girl's-Love and everything else is secondary. It's plenty gay on Adachi's side and how gay it turns out depends on how gay Shimamura lets it get, at least that's how I see it.

It's a VERY slow burn, from what I understand. Eventually Shimamura succumbs to her gayness, and they do eventually end up going out with each other. But that happens like in volume 6 or 7, so it's a ways down the line. This was just volume 1...

I try not to let myself get too spoiled about things beforehand, which is kinda dumb of me, but it's whatever. lol

Where did you find it? I'm interested in reading the Raw or wherever you got that info.

I got that information both by reading comments here and by asking sneik. I don't have access to any of the "raw" LN content, either, sorry. Though I'm assuming much of it can be purchased through standard venues for such things. :)

Well the little vampire in this story seems to be able to choose when to turn someone, since when asked point blank she said "you won't become one, I just sucked, that's all". So this incarnation seems to have a "poof ur a vampire" switch she's gotta turn on to vampire-ize anyone. Which makes sense.

I told Waffles (my cat) about Grumpy Cat's passing and she was so sad that she took to her bed and didn't get out all day.

... of course that's pretty much what she does every day since she's a cat but I think she looked more aggrieved than usual.

It's not... really? I think it's just sort of a universal thing that sometimes people want to keep odd souvenirs from things that are memorable to them. At least it was just her own empty drink and not something creepy like Shimamura's used Kleenex or something lol

She's basically saying "someone sitting in a cheap restaurant and acting like they're rich"
