The first chapter isn't exactly foreboding wrenching drama though. It could take a light flirty or yuri crush direction...

Rereading this thread and seeing the talk about the manga's title made me slightly worried about how there hasn't been an explanation for the Valentine's chocolate Chidori was carrying in ch. 10.

I had to reread the whole thing to figure out who any of the people in the new chapter are (they're from chapters 13 and 15 fwiw), and I ended up making an index of characters as I went along and I count 31 recurring characters. Shimura is the greatest.

This is actually a favorite of mine. There's something beautiful about throwing a prank like that in the face of heartbreak. No such thing going on in the other story though.

Let's evidence.

1. Minato's dad told Asami to stay away from her.
2. She doesn't seem to remember ever meeting Asami before and states she knows nothing about her (ch.2 p. 10).
3. Her mom has met Asami.
4. Asami says she was interested in the daughter, not the father.
5. After flipping through an old photo album Asami tells Iku in chapter 4 that she hasn't made any progress with her first love.
6. The guitar lessons were years after the divorce when the father was living alone.

I have no idea how those things can fit together. In chapter 3 Minato says she doesn't understand why her parents divorced, so that might forebode something.

I don't quite understand where the theories about Asami having been in love with the mother are coming from. She herself says she was interested in the teacher's daughter.

I like this trope, eg. It Would Be Great if you Didn't Exist and Himawari/Sakurako, but I haven't had much luck finding stories in that vein. Anyone know of any?

Can't wait, the sister episodes have all been so cute. I don't think what jirian says is a spoiler really, it had been so clearly implied in earlier chapters.

I'm really liking these stories as well as the other originals of her(?)s. It's funny to think the author of such psychological and sombre stuff is hanging out with with Namori of all people.
