In response to your assertion that Madoka can be anything she wants to be, I will re brand an idea regarding God and omnipotence I saw on the internet that time once; that he can do absolutely anything thanks to his being omnipotent, and that him not being able to do evil because that good is his nature. His nature is not a restriction, and so here that is applied in yuri. Madoka's very nature is yuri, and as such she will not be able to do anything which contradicts this (such as changing herself into anything other than a girl). Therefore, she is unable to do change into a man, however this isn't a restriction to her godliness as she is by her very nature yuri.

Yeah, female character rejecting a boy is often there as a barrier that the boy has to overcome in order to get happiness. Since, y'know, him being happy is what's important here.

Finally read that last chapter, and I think it made the ending even worse.

The love interest you don't get to know I can forgive, but the insinuation that Saki and Mayu got together really pissde me off. WHAT THE HELL WAS THE POINT OF THE REJECTION! I didn't even find it subtle enough that I can pretend it didn't happen. Crappy relationship, crappy resolution, crappy retcon. Unfortunately, the masochist in me means that this is the first work I think of when I think 'Takemiya Jin', why when she has so much better stuff? Stupid, stupid brain.

Edit: Reminds me of Shitsurakuen, a bad ending made worse by the second ending. Worse for Shitsurakuen of course because the author was actively trying to fix it but similar none the less.

Lol no worries. I've read all the spoilers and stuff before even starting the show to see if I wanted to invest the time to start PLL in the first place. Although that is news to me....I hope they don't all of a sudden (spoilers for whoever wants to start PLL) give Alison a random male love interest. Not only because I really like Emison as a ship and like you, really like redemptive love stories, but I think it would really show a lot of Alison's growth if she ended up showing how she changed by being with Emily. I read in some interviews that both actresses think the ship would be a pretty toxic relationship, but that's what makes it so interesting to me. It has so much potential to become nontoxic. Adding a random male love interest this late in the game seems really unnecessary. Of course, feel free to point out if my interpretations are wrong, since there's only so much about someone's character you can understand from reading basic summaries on wiki haha.

I never liked Maya from the beginning and I don't like Paige either so yeah, I really hope that Emison is endgame. On a crackship note though, Hannily would be the best ship hands down haha. I need to start watching again, but there's only so much drama I can take XD. Plus I heard it gets really repetitive so I'm hesitant to start again. Also everything I've read about the reveal of A, was really underwhelming and I feel so sorry for all the fans who have followed the mystery from the beginning, only to be let down every season lolol.

Edit: I just read various Sasha interviews about Season 6 and holy crap crush my Emison heart. On the other hand, going through the emison tag on Tumblr is very entertaining because of how hard everyone is raging haha.

Good to know I didn't ruin too much. The supposed love interest has only just been cast, and apparently HE'S so good for the redemption because... he doesn't know her? THAT DEFEATS THE POINT! What's the point of a redemptive love story if your redeeming yourself to people you don't know? It occurs to me that I'm typing like I'm angry people from channel awesome, and that it's much less entertaining typed. The growth for Alison would have been so great as well, fully agree with that. The toxic off pissing as well. Especially since one of them had claimed to be a shipper, and in spite of the fact that... EVERY OTHER SHIP ON THE SHOW! Seriously, that's the toxic one?

Crackshipped Hannily since the first few episodes, ha. I took a break from binge watching after season two, but I'm starting back up soon since I've nearly completed FFXIII and I'm still off school. It wasn't long into the show that the ship was the main reason for watching it. WHY?

Ahhh what news is that (talking about PLL right)? They were really the only reason why decided to start watching it, but man 120+ episodes is a bit long for me....I'm only on S1 Ep 14. Emily is such a precious bb though.

Sorry, had no idea anyone here would be watching it, so I didn't spoiler, which perhaps I should have done?

Anyway, Sasha Pietsomething, the actor for the Maybe Dead Girl, Spoiler for where you are is actually not dead. recently in an interview said that they're adding in some random dude to be a love interest for her. This is justified to the shippers because it's important that they know sometimes your first crush doesn't work out even though THAT'S HANNA'S FIRST RELATIONSHIP IN A NUTSHELL! (I screamed that in Linkara's voice, probably doesn't sound as good to you.) Also worth noting that the only other major ship for Emily is the other halfs first crush! Grr...

The worst of it is that, apparently, half the ship's actor's ship them, the head writer ships them, most of the audience ships them, even the author for the original books (Didn't happen there either.) ships them and yet there's still hardly a chance for it to happen. I don't get why they teased a scene between them in the first episode of the next season, then cheapen the scene before it happened?

Of course i'm assuming we're talking about the same ship (Emily and Alison as opposed to Paige or . It's fairly well guaranteed that Main Lesbain Girl will end up with somebody, but I don't like her other options (Paige tried to drown Emily, not to mention is a grating character, and yet people try to sell it as the sweetest relationship on the show, Maya is too spoiler-y to say why, and no one else so far has been all that significant) and bringing in somebody new when everyone else hooked up with there endgame ship in the first season annoys me for some reason.

Seriously though, emison had by far the most potential thematically for me, because I'm a sucker for redemptive love stories which I could easily see this becoming (see my avatar, for more examples of me probably hoping for this story too much), so it left a bad taste for me.

Imperial March started playing near the end, 10/10, this was hilarious.
