I think it’s pretty useless to try do a psychological/relationship reading of this chapter’s underlying significance without actually knowing what went on with Mitsuki while she was gone, which I assume we will see in the next chapter or two.

Also, I just have to say, when Fukumura came back and sat down on the same side of the table and convinced her to sleep over instead of going home, all my brain was thinking was "Why don't you just miss the last train?".

The teacher being replaced by a monster was obvious, of course, but I certainly couldn't see this going where it went in the end... :D

Neither of them being into girls (at least as far as they know for now) was an interesting surprise for this kind of story, and certainly makes the entire deal a lot less questionable, even if we all know it'll eventually go there anyway.

Even if it's only a memory haunting her mind, it's still nice to see her stand up to and even pretty much mock her husband now. So much more self-confidence. Her friends' reaction also did a good job of proving her husband wrong.

So cute, indeed. Like young girls on a date. Which isn't too far from the truth for her, finally being able to restart her life that got stuck in a place of conformity and subservience, "full of nothin'", as she put it.
