Heart: "Wow, you're so in denial." The raws say おぎのうちはら (Oginouchihara) though

I stand corrected. Serves me right for not checking previous pages; I somehow thought her name was only mentioned in that last page. If the hiragana are written that way, then the three kanji are indeed a single name (and a surname at that, simply by going with the reading).

Japan's system is a Parliamentary system, probably translated as Parliament, because that's what the system they use is called. National Diet is probably just the name of the building, the UK Parliament is in a building called Westminster after all.

It's normally (Kokkai) translated as Diet, meaning the assembly, not the building. Just like "ken" is normally translated as prefecture and not province or state. It's just a translating convention. It doesn't interfere with the story at all, and may give more people an idea of what's going on, but no, the original poster is correct.

There are actually other reasons why it's translated as "National Diet": One, it's called "National" because the first kanji in "Kokkai" (国) means "nation, land, country"; the most literal translation would be "National Assembly". Two, it's called "Diet" instead of just "Assembly" or "Parliament" because of heavy Prussian influence on the Meiji Constitution (Japan's first written constitution), and Prussia is more or less the originator of using "diet" (or tag in German) as a name for a country's parliament.

I am astounded at all the arguing about how there should be only one acceptable way to romanize Neeko's name when the Japanese themselves explicitly have more than acceptable way to romanize words from their own language and to transliterate ones from other languages into Japanese. No, seriously. You have Hepburn, you have Kunrei-shiki, you have Nihon-shiki, you have JSL, you have Wāpuro... and that's just on the romanization side. Then there's the fact that when romanized into Japanese, the words "meet" and "meat" are written and pronounced exactly the same way (miito), and the "i" in "elite" and "ee" in "leet" are rendered in the exact same way (ii).

You're either following the translations on Danbooru (like me), or the ones done by KamiTranslation (which are available on their site; just google the name).

Though I do have all the ones done by KamiTranslation, I have yet to actually try comparing them to Stan Miller's versions.

Dammit, I guess Mochi really isn't planning on reusing Yuri Family's "who kissed Hana?" plot... unless it will involve Hana pulling similar stunts with the other sisters, and THEN she gets a surprise kiss while trying to sleep and thus has no idea who the culprit is.
