Now I’m racking my brain trying to remember which romance manga had a major “guy looks for lost hairpin in the snow” sequence.

And then trying to remember if those are the only two “lost hairpin” scenes I’ve read, or is it an actual trope I’ve seen other times?

Guy? Could you be thinking of BokuYaba? Ichikawa looks through the snow for a charm(?) that Yamada loses and they eventually find it hanging from a tree branch IIRC.

For yuri, I feel like that happened in a longer running series. A Room For Two or Hana ni Arashi? I may be way off the mark though.

Manatsu is such a silly little goober. I'm loving all her cute little faces through the first 2 chapters.

There was another quick flashback of Sumie's old tutor(?) when she hugged Manatsu. She was definitely an old, likely unrequited, crush of Sumie's.
Sumie reminds me a bit of Mizusu from Tomo-chan. The same hairstyle and similar cold attitude.

Pretty damn funny but this feels more like a prank that Stelle would pull on someone. Kafka's always acting too cool for me to imagine her doing something goofy like this.

The manga is really good. I somehow stalled out reading it around a year ago. Really need to catch back up.

Koto's been making me nervous for awhile now. Feels like she's always a half breath away from a total meltdown and I'm scared what she'll do when that happens.

The breakup's not surprising with how Koto has been acting. But there's almost certainly more to it than what we heard from Aya, seeing as the actual conversation they had happened offscreen after the scene abruptly ended when Koto pushed Aya onto the bed.

Chapters have been short recently. I hope the upcoming festival date is eventful to make up for that. If it's not then I may start letting chapters accumulate to binge read later.
Miyagi was getting upset about Sendai being gone for too long and considered she might be hanging out with someone else. A lesser novel might have started spinning this into worries about cheating, but I think Miyagi probably can't even conceive of a scenario where the super devoted Sendai would do that. Hopefully.

I'd bet money that Sendai was out buying yukata for them to wear to the festival. Miyagi will give in if Sendai's already spent money on it.

Been a bit since the last post. Angela's Shuukura discord server is quite active and seems to be a source of motivation since she seems to be churning out chapters faster than ever.

We're entering the kinda angsty part of the story where Miyagi's focusing on how they'll be separated at graduation. She's pulling away by not letting Sendai kiss her and will continue trying to distance herself.
But at the same time these are some of the best chapters with how the gay chicken plays out. I can't remember how the "trade" at the end of part 86 goes down in the next chapter but I'm pretty sure it doesn't immediately get shutdown due to Miyagi's request being too much to handle.

Anybody who's looking at this thread should definitely jump into the Shuukura server Angela set up. We need more people to tell her to get some sleep. Also plenty of nice Shuukura fanart is being shared and there's a lot of great discussion that can sometimes stay on topic for more than 5 minutes.

^It's funny how often the thumbnails are misleading. It happens pretty much every week that I'm sure a thumbnail is one pairing only to find it's another when I open the picture to full size.

Yeah if you're going to let pandering to the self-inserting male audience bother you, you're going to have a bad time. That's unfortunately the main audience of these games and we always have to eat the crumbs from what they're served at the table. HSR has it pretty good compared to WuWa, which is far more cringe with the self-insert pandering.

More importantly...Robin doesn't have a nose in this picture and it's creeping me out (and don't try to tell me that little squiggle counts as a nose).

Yeah I like pretty much all the HSR ships except this crackship. March seemed like a bigger fan of Robin than Firefly was IMO. Seems like a better option for someone looking to explore a ship with the Idol x Fan dynamic.

Of course she's getting in touch right when they're finally on the same page about liking each other. I'd expect nothing less.

I do wonder what reason Kaede will give to Ai for the way she's been acting.
