I'm so happy seeing this one here, it's like a mix between Looking up to magical girls and that manga about the little girl who cooks for the highscool student.

I missed this one

I like how Sachie is drawn in this version more, but overall I prefer the style of the first version. also, that extra page where Sachie and Rika are shown taking flowers to Rika's grave seems to only exist in the original version and that for me adds to the "we will not die/we'll keep living today" message both versions end in

I like the original ending better where it wasn't implied she might be partially draining her for money.

If you refer to how Rika tells Sachie they have to see each other the following day, in both versions it's a callback to Rika's request to Sachie to book her again.

I liked both Octave and Brides of Iberis so I'm excited for this one.

For for thous that think Junko “won” or that she is not aware of her delusion of what actually she “won”

the last 3 pages shows she is doubting she “won” by not smiling at all when the people in the darkness offers her the hand to join then, it kinda indicates she is slowly realizing she didn’t actually “win”, while Junko takes that hand and joins the others into the darkness and her character completely disappeared in the darkness it does not foreshadow an good ending for Junko down this path she chose XD

I think pretty much all the comments for the last chapter have talked about how Junko got what she deserved, and that she lost and that Kayo is the one who won anything because she is free while Junko has to deal from now on with a bunch of backstabbers.

I haven't seen anyone saying Junko won.

I have to say that, while this is a fitting ending, I'm kinda disappointed in the way the story shifted around chapter 12 or so to get us there. What I mean by that is, it felt like Kayo stopped being an active participant in the story when she started dating Satomi-san, most of what she did was react (or not) when Junko confronted her, go be worried with Satomi-san about her evaluation and finish that sale Satomi-san had been handling. For the most part, the focus was on Junko and her creepy faces.Ironically, the rape scene was a bright spot in the story because Kayo was able to throw some verbal jabs at Junko.

Also, unrelated to everything I just wrote, could someone explain to me why Junko got back in contact with Hashimoto in the first place? She was initially confused about Kayo moving next door without her being aware this was happening, which led to Hashimoto for some reason, but then Junko said she wasn't going to bother with Hashimoto anymore because Kayo wasn't planning on using her in one of her schemes, which brings me back to the original question, why did she got in contact with her?

I'm happy I found this because it looks like it's going to be depressing as hell and I need that right now

I'm starting to think this is not a longer more violent version of "Twisted girl x Twisted girl"

God I love this series. Junko disturbs me greatly now but as stated before she is incredibly entertaining to watch. I truly wonder how the aftermath of her achievement or downfall will look like. UGH SAL- LOVE YOU

Yeah, I was getting tired of Junko's machinations because what got me to start reading the story was the mutual violence and toxicity between Kayo and Junko, and lately it has just been Junko's one-sided attacks. But now that we are heading towards "If you are not mine you won't be anyone else's!" territory, I'm interested again.

Honestly, I don’t understand what Hirose is saying. Why did she feel relieved that Takamine stopped from playing volleyball? Is it because she doesn’t want Takamine to feel the hate from others coz she experienced it before? Or coz she felt that their senpai is right?

Well, Hirose understands what is like to resent a person for being better than you at a sport despite you "caring more" about it, since she had a similar experience with a friend in middle school. Which is why, when Takamine stopped playing volleyball due to her injury, Hirose felt relieved because it meant she wouldn't have to be in a position where she'd feel frustrated or jealous of Takamine for being better at volleyball than her.

I don't know, based on the start I feel like this will be a case where the story doesn't live up to whatever ominous dread its tags inspire.

God that whole MV was such a love letter to Gura (and it can stand alone as a kinda bittersweet yuri anime short). It made my heart hurt.

But back to this image, I really like this pairing and how it was established Gura needs to go into gawr mode to be able to top.

bruh wasnt expecting her to just flat out do that at the end of the chapter LMFAO like so much pent up build up for that?? cmon now .. like i get Teacher x Student tags are a fetish and all but she still is a teacher theres morals/ethics here and a big age gap i bet when she graduates she would be 18 realistically speaking meanwhile that teacher looks mid twenties early 30's like cmon why break up with your senpai twice in a row.. ffs this is so frustrating to see lol

She wasn't her senpai, and they didn't break up (they weren't dating in the first place). Also I think it was clear this is where things were going since Nanjou is not in love with Riri.

Ah yeah, Nakatani sensei is currently working on a Sci fi series with a young boy as protagonist, 3 volumes so far! there's no fan translation as far as I know, but I would also love if she makes another yuri series again.

Or a second season for the anime!!!!

I've seen some random pages from her new manga, but I thought it had been going for longer, like I thought it was at the very least on vol 5.

Just finished my annual re-reading and Yuu remains best girl (seriously, she is one of my favorite characters ever).

I want Nakatani Nio to make another yuri series.

I'd hope against hope that my poly ending comes true, or that at the very least Naori keeps working for Aju.

I'm feeling dissapointed by the latest developments in these chapters: I didn't get my loli yandere imouto, there was an entire chapter dedicated to a character I don't care about, Yamatsuka and Toudo don't seem interested in each other anymore, and there hasn't been as many funny moments. Rin and Toudou are cute, but I miss Toudou getting punched for the stupid shit she did.

You know what even if there's sexual tension here, I don't mind actually. Naori gets to have as many Oni girlfriends as she likes. Though I'd imagine that her Bartending for Aju is going to last only as long as Hinata can get a new bartender/the old bartender back.

Yeah, it probably wasn't their intention but these past chapters made me beleive Naori and Aju were slowly falling in love with each other. In fact, I think if I had started the manga with this chapter, I would have been convinced Aju and Naori were endgame.

But in this case I feel it wouldn't feel forced if they go the poly route with Hinata, Naori and Aju.

I haven't lost hope that the harem route is our final destination, since in this this very volume we had Kinue going down on Toudou, Shirashiro telling her she'll show her her panties (or lack thereof) whenever she wants, and of course the ghost harem.

I like the Hanei x Toudou scenes, but I miss Yomotsuka, and Kamisada hasn't had her turn yet, and I also want more scenes of that crazy Iwagaki, and that ghost girl Toudou kissed in the mountains.

poly or nothing

Yeah, and there's already some hints of other relationships forming/already being formed between the other girls, so it's plausible.

Thout I'm also down for an ending where everybody else gets paired up and Mei ends up with her first love or alone, because it would be hilarious to me.

... I feel like the author went too hard to have some symbolism on this one. A pair that was essentially slacking off getting first place in the qualis just because one of them decided to have fun feels too much to me like "the power of love" pulled straight out the ass. I feel bad for all these other pairs that worked hard but had to lose because they aren't secondary protagonists of the manga.

I wouldn't say they were slacking off since they were shown practicing regularly (about as much as Michiru and Kiki, I'd say), but I get you, it feels unearned. Shion and Mona were the better dancers because Shion decided not to hold back, which feels like it doesn't fit with all this talk we've been getting about communicating with your partner being the key to dancing in sync (i.e. well).
