The writing of this chapter seems to frame Asumi settling down with Nanao as a failure condition for her personal journey. Despite featuring tons of sex between them the tone of this chapter did not make me hopeful for Asumi and Nanao’s future relationship.

10 years later and I still find myself thinking about this one sometimes.

What is cringe is polyamorous people spamming every single story with poly stuff.

Name three currently running yuri with a poly plot. Hell name two. I can name so many single couple yuri stories ongoing right now. And you know what? I enjoy those. I don’t go into comments sections for yuri about one couple and whine that there aren’t more girls. But this manga has, on numerous occasions, teased a threesome with these characters and then backed off. That’s just straight up bait. And commenters like you who get all mad because that’s frustrating to some people is extremely annoying. 99.999999% of yuri released is already aimed at you. Going “no this should be mine too” is just greedy.

Huh, it's weird you guys are running into that. I checked the official reddit thread for episode one and saw surprisingly little negativity. I checked twitter too and had to really dig to find anyone complaining about it. Then again, there wasn't a TON of discussion about it to begin with.

First episode of the anime was fun. Surprised to see actual nudity in it as opposed to the manga which always stops just shy of it. They seemingly aren’t toning it down for broadcast.

Can't wait till we're a few more chapters into this and lose the "I'm gonna drop this" crowd. Like, heck, OP male protags with harems are dime-a-dozen, but yuri has to be some kind of masterpiece to be allowed to exist?

I visualize them as a person with a pile of steaks on their plate, steaks labeled I Favor The Villainess, Magical Revolution and Fed Up OL, and as a waiter brings another steak to an emancipated person with nothing on their plate who just wants a trashy harem series with op protag but yuri the person with the full plate says “hey why isn’t that one for me too!?”

This story marks the start of Volume 4 in the LN, I believe. You will see bits of progress here and there but they do not actually fully address their relationship and start talking about what they actually are to each other until volume 8 of the LN.

I feel like Kayo’s “victory” is a little undercut by how much it involves nepotism. Even if she genuinely loves Satomi, just having a rich sugar mommy give you the win because you’re sleeping with her feels a little cheap from a story perspective. It would be like suddenly winning a huge lottery so you don’t have to work anymore. Anyone could win at life if a rich person in a powerful position suddenly fell in love with you and started giving you treats.

I still think Komachi is going to turn out to be the ultimate villain.
