The important bit here is the particle に

週間ぶりの人に = for the first time in a week BY someone.

There's no "meet" or "see" in that sentence, even implied.

It's been a week since Aya came back and the President is the first one to hug her in that time. I just can't fathom why you'd interpret that sentence any other way.

chapter 3：
一週間ぶりの人にこんなにされるの、変な感じ
→To think we just met not that long ago. It feels weird.

No?

1週間ぶり => for the first time in a week
の人に => by someone
こんなに => like this
される => to be done to someone

Or "It's the first time in a week someone has done this to me", or "You're the first one to do this to me in a week".

I don't know where you get that translation, but I stand by mine.

I finally got to clean my favorite picture from the Da Vinci Magazine (my eyes hurts...). I skimmed through the comments here and saw no mention of it. The manga was featured in the October 2023 issue, it also had a 2 pages chapter.

I was asked about that 2 pages manga and it's basically an ad for their mobile comic app.

They cross path and the question is "is there a reason why you meet someone out of thousands of people?".

And then, they both read the same "romcom" manga on that app and @moonlightfm (Mitsuki) comments on it and Aya ("Grunge Gal") likes her comment and Mitsuki feels understood.

And the final line is something like "the reason people meet might be simpler than you think" (from memory).

I didn't feel the need to translate an ad.

As a scanlator, it's a pleasure for me to work on Akiyama Haru's manga. Not only do I like her brand of adult yuri drama, but the art is clean, she uses very little sfx and the Japanese is all grammatically correct and not overly slangy. A pleasure to translate and typeset. It took me only one day and a half to do it, while shorter chapters of other series are sometimes a chore.to typeset.

I look very much forward to the next chapter in February.

Interesting, I didn't understand the same from the last sentence in Japanese "あやちゃんなら、待てる？"
For me, Kanna is saying: "Aya-chan, can you wait?" (referencing Mitsuki, obviously).

It can be interpreted both way, but I'm leaning towards my interpretation, just because this is how I felt when I read it. Though, nothing indicates it would be the correct one. I guess we'll know next time (or not!).

Both interpretations are valid.

Without the brackets, I would have chosen something like "And you Aya-chan, will you wait?" or something similar.

But the brackets indicate something like a quotation, so I erred to the side of thinking Kanna was asking Aya to put herself in her shoes.

The end result is the same in any case: it's asking Aya-chan if she's able to wait for Mitsuki.

While this was a good first chapter, next chapters might be just het.

If the MC is supposed to be the cupid, there's no reason for her to only make yuri couples.

I didn't translate the title because of the several underlying meanings that would have been lost in translation and also the grammar is weird and probably made up. So after mulling over it for a while, I gave up.

損なう can also mean something about a missed chance to do something. So, maybe, both characters mourn their failure to "scatter" (splat).

散る is also a metaphor for dying a noble death.

Hiraeth being a feeling of nostalgia for a place you can never return to (or even ever went to), so the whole title evokes a complicated feeling.

wait she's 21 and supposed to be almost the same age as the mistress? Is that correct because that would mean the mistress had her daughter at an exceedingly young age and that the young miss herself would have to still be exceedingly young herself.

And like sure the young lady is definitely a young teenager at best, but genuinely putting the Mistress in the 22 to 24 age range feels like it doesn't really add up.

To be honest, as I was translating I was doubtful too. I tried to imagine a scenario where Aria would fit and it's complicated.

But 21 is written in plain numbers, so there's no mistake. And Chloé mumbles 奥さまとほとんど同じ年齢だわ

It could also be translated to "practically" or "basically", "virtually" (the same age).

I think the two maids are 16 or 17 (?). The Young Lady could be 10/12.

If we imagine Sophia had her daughter at 18 (or maybe earlier, who knows in that Victorian setting), maybe they're 6/7 years apart. Does that count as "almost". I don't know.

If you wonder who the hell is that woman in chapter 16, in the volume version, the author retconned the afro guy to a woman for some reason.

This chapter was published in the mag after the volume came out.

Seeing all the wild speculations, I'll chime in to say that I (obviously) read the whole thing. It's a single volume. There's only 9 chapters and an epilogue.

And it doesn't get that dark. Just a lot of drama and some stuff people will probably dislike even more about Ami.

Maybe I should release the next 8 chapters all at once in a few months instead of one by one, so people won't be furious for nothing.

But the drama on the forum is scrumptious too
