Lovely little story. The author deserves way more recognition, it’s a good thing technology makes that easier these days.

I really find the male friend character pointless and frankly annoying. He’s only there to build some drama so mc can realise she likes tsundere girl.

He’s only been in like 4 panels lmao chill. And he’s a necessary component of the story’s hook, the entire concept of the manga literally wouldn’t exist without him. Drama isn’t necessarily bad, it could be interesting and a good way to develop characters, not every yuri needs to be a slice of life with no conflict.

Please refrain in the future from making such sweeping assumptions and generalization. It really doesn't add anything to discussion and only serve to dismiss and discourage other person from proper discussion and can easily devolve into just name calling.

Is it not true? Many yuri fans are straight men who have unrealistic expectations of lesbian relationships and get mad when their fantasies aren’t indulged by authors. The opposite is true for yaoi, just go to Animate and observe yourself. Let me make this clear, none of what I said is name calling, I mean every word literally.

Since when loneliness is inherently connected to love?

I never said love is "inherently" connected, but it is a relevant issue that when discussed can make the story better. I am not saying the story is not good, I'm just saying it could have been so much more.

How in the hell do you think that they don’t love each other? I think it’s pretty explicitly clear that they do, It’s just not explicitly romantic. There’s nothing inherently more meaningful about romantic love compared to any other kind of love. I’m just gonna say it, the people saying it’s worse because it’s not yuri is just sad that they can’t project their own fantasies into the story and live vicariously through them. A lot of them are probably straight men as well who fetishize lesbian relationships.

Ah I wanted more closure than that

Edit: The people here are toxic as fuck, Jesus fucking Christ. I hated the ending but saying the author betrayed you and it wasn’t worth your time is fucking hypocritical when all of us are leeching free entertainment from that author’s livelihood.

This author is really really talented, I haven’t disliked a single one of their works. And this series is just so refreshing. In a sea of samey stories, this slow and quiet story about coworkers falling in love somehow just hits different.

Hey that’s pretty good. I mean at least it’s something new and insteresting, I like seeing yuri in more genres than just romance. The framing is good too, really like manga that takes advantage of the medium instead of being static and boring.

this manga really has no flavor. She should of just confessed already so it would of been the last chapter. Why drag this on?

And peoples will have complain it was too short and got axed and so on. Remember that's it's only the 10th chapter, some yuri take muhc longer to come to this point. Why complain to have something not ending after so little chapters.

There’s no reason why the manga should end once they confess, unless the writer doesn’t know how to write people in a relationship. At this point this series is just going to collect more and more bad yuri tropes.

I don’t understand why a lot of mangaka seem to view the confession as the endgame. There is a lot more to a relationship than just confessing your feelings. The couple getting together can be the start not the end, and there’s a lot you can write about people in a relationship without having to arbitrarily extend the will they won’t they phase. Kind of disappointed with this series ngl.

This series definitely got cut short, Tsugumi even said so. But it was a fun ride, still kinda sucks knowing that there might’ve been more to the story.

Man I love the character designs in Arknights, but I really don't want to invest in a gacha game. If only its monetization model is more like Girls Frontline...

There is a free pull system sort of like GFL's (but worse), so you could play without paying and eventually get a decent set of units - people have successfully cleared almost all the content with only freebie stuff. But it's definitely a struggle unless you pay, so if you have trouble with getting tempted to drop cash on these games definitely don't play it.

I like the character designs a lot but I wish it focused a bit more on character stories. Outside of the main story cast we really only get occasional character-focused events and the lore text in their profiles. :/

The news that trickle in from players that play AK are quite worrying for me so I decided against taking the plunge: restrictive stamina system that is ironically named sanity, earlier units get power creeeped, event maps only forcing you to play a certain way, event map so janky it's obvious they didn't playtest the thing, and just the damn gacha system. I played GBF so I know I'm weak against that particular kind of model. (Thank you very much for your work on Viramate by the way m(_ _)m ) I like my cute anime art and lore, but AK in its current state sounds like something I'd best avoid. Which is a shame, because it does look very attractive on first glance.

I think if you’re worried about ending paying then don’t play it. But, as someone who plays this game like an idiot, I can assure you none of the maps are janky or force you to play a certain way, I just brute force my way through every map in the game. As for power creep, obviously most 6 stars would be better than their lower rarity counterparts but as of right now the most powerful ones are available from the start, no new 6 star has surpassed them.

What? Arknights is probably the most casual gacha game I’ve ever played. You could just play it in the background while playing other games or while you’re commuting or something and you could have a decent amount of 5 and 6 star operators. It’s not like any of the maps require you to have them either, 3 and 4 star operators can clear all of it by themselves. What causes you to struggle?

Apart from the weird shit, this series is completely tolerable. Unfortunately, it's like 90% weird shit.

And this discussion about sexualizing children is dumb, and the person who started it is equally so. Being naked isn't inherently sexual. Children are depicted naked all the time, in numerous media. You would know this if you took the time to consume anything other than anime and manga. It's only sexual because you're making it to be.

Life is full of it

Isn't that why this is fiction? So that we can do something beyond the limits of reality? Ghosts aren't real. This scenario isn't real. Why does the pointlessness have to be?
That's just how I see it.

People's lives have meaning, not their deaths. It's not the author's job to make the reader feel better, fiction doesn't mean catering to some escapist fantasy. And her death was the catalyst for the story, without it our protagonists wouldn't have any interaction.

I had lingering doubts about this series but this chapter has really sold me on it. I love how the author manages to use familiar story elements but executes it so well that it doesn’t really feel cliched, kinda reminds me of BNHA in that sense.
