I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the nonstop degrading and referencing of prism and the sketching scandal just doesn't happen in Japanese circles and doesn't seem to hinder Shou's work. Shou hasn't stopped publishing by any means and it seems much more likely that Shou uses a different pen name to distance themself from the very graphic, intense loli porn and sci fi epic they've been doing.

don't disagree with your comment about the scandal hindering Shou's work, but this is more a comment about the readers. maybe it's not that big a deal, but if some of comments that were made (for example on this site after the whole scandal became known and even today) are a representation of all his readers, my point is they need to let it go. it was a thing. it happened.

I didn't recognize the cover on page 1 at first glance, for a bit I thought it was Prism's. That would have been the perfect cruel joke.

It took me a minute to realize it was stretch too. I was laughing so hard when I saw it because at first, I thought it might be a teaser about Prism (like maybe a reference to him restarting/continuing it). then once i realized it was Stretch, all I could think about was Shou plugging his other works. Now that Stretch has shown up, I kinda half-expect (and very much hope) to see Prism references because he's been punished enough. We all make mistakes and I hope people let it go. plus, his artwork is great and his SFW stories are always good reads. (ok. I'm off my soapbox)

My first though was "oh another superhero story like there is so many...not sure I wanna read it" but I decided otherwise and I am glad! That was a good first chapter honestly. I don't know if we'll have any yuri in this but I will keep reading.

you are correct. it is an earlier work, but read the Afterwords. after she thanks everyone and promotes the collaboration, she writes that she usually writes 'adult doujinshi'. i'm wondering if this project was just a diversion from the norm.

yeah. the final chapters were a resolution, but it was kinda bland and 'meh'.

i'm not sure how i feel about the ending. to say the lead up to and the ending were anticlimactic may be a bit too much, but both were very 'meh' IMHO.

Ayano and her husband, Wataru's conversation at the end makes it sound like their marriage is more or less of a marriage of convenience than one of two people in love, and it makes you wonder if she and her husband married for several reasons. namely, neither wanted to be alone. they are both gay and being married takes pressure off of being over-30 singles with respect to friends, family and co-workers. they are really good friends and are faking it until they make it (if romantic love or a family happens, it happens).

So this chapter kind of changes my opinion about Ayano's character. It isn't as harsh as it was in the previous chapter.

ch. 11's interaction was weird. the frankness was refreshing, but weird none the less.

At this point, I think Maekawa is the confused one. She managed to squeeze the truth out of Shimizu but... The whole reason she wanted to squeeze the truth out of Shimizu lies in what sort of relationship she wants. But yeah, maybe take it slow? Don't try to substitute sex for love?

at this point, i'd put BOTH of them in the confused category. Shimizu definitely has recognized that Maekawa is special to her. i'm not sure she's being completely honest with herself either. With Maekawa, I agree with you. I don't think she knows what she wants (in terms of relationship or how said relationship should work). maybe it's because she has no experience. maybe because she hides in her work. maybe because sh'es just thickheaded. maybe all 3.

that said, i suppose they are now at the 'we're two friend-ishly people that aren't going out, but we're really going out; and we haven't realized we're going out which means we're about to have a series of awkward misunderstandings' part of the story.

it's been a while since I've read anything that didn't try to sugarcoat relationships especially when cheating was involved. it's both refreshing and kind of all around sucks because i find myself remembering conversations similar to the ones in these chapters (especially ch. 3).

why not? smartphones have caused people to fall into fountains, walk into walls and trip off of curbs. in addition, smartphones also causes people to lose track of time. i'd imagine if they are all on their smartphones goofing off or sadly, having flamewars with one another, they'd be too distracted to have real wars.
