We've never refused help from any translator or editor that has passed the tests. It shouldn't be a problem for those who have the skills to be translating or editing in the first place. If they aren't capable or aren't willing to complete a simple ability test, we don't see a lot of benefit to collaborating. It's not worth compromising quality to increase speed. We work from the tank scans as we've said many times. Only two or three chapters worth of tank scans are available beyond what has been released and they're in-work. We have no problem with the existence of speed scans of SK. I'm sure there are plenty of readers who are satisfied with them. I haven't read them, so I won't judge. However, what they're doing doesn't have an impact on what we're doing. We'll continue to press on with SK in our own way. If readers are happy with our scans, great. If not, be glad that there's an alternative choice out there. Everyone wins!

The completely unhelpful answer is that with a lot of practice, you start to get a feel for what sort of words, phrases, and kanji might appear in certain situations. But that's not something that can really be taught, it just comes with experience. Context often very helpful in determining what smudge-ji are supposed to be, though I can't say that it always does. At worst, try and pick out any radicals that you think you can identify and work your way through potential options logically. If you really get desperate, you could try drawing what you think you see on the Windows IME pad and see if it comes up with anything you haven't tried yet.

Clicking the page numbers on the left definitely does work. There must be some kind of issue on your end.

Sou showed up with a militia behind him. He didn't command them to stop, he demanded it. The attackers probably ran off given that they were outnumbered.

My assumption is that the attackers were a third party. I believe Nina was instructed to assassinate the heir to Shinka i.e. Shuu. Sou read the letter, so he's aware of that fact. I believe his intentions may be genuine and and that he really is only looking out for Shuu's best interests. That confrontation, which he was aware would happen because of his intel network, would serve as a test for Nina's true intentions. The Adingala assassin was urging Nina to fulfill her duty and kill Shuu, but she didn't. In a way, she passed Sou's test. For the time being.

At least that's how I read it.

Thanks a lot! It's always nice to hear that people appreciate the effort that goes into something. I'm a big fan of Wife and Wife myself, so I always try to give it my very best when I'm translating it.

As kyra said, don't worry, Wife and Wife isn't going anywhere. Chapter 3 is currently in editing, so it's in progress. As long as a series is yuri or a favorite of a particular staff member (both being true in this case), it usually won't be dropped.

The dropdown menu only contains authors with more than one chapter. If you want to see those that have one chapter as well, you have to hit All Authors

It was finished a while ago, but we were never informed. So it was only recently added. It doesn't show on the front page because we listed the actual release date (in the past), so the database doesn't see it as "new."

I've been translating the more recent chapters of flower flower, and I have to say, it's one of the more difficult series that I work on because of how much foreshadowing there is in each chapter. The series is a lot more subtle than most in its dialogue, so it ends up taking more time to finesse it. I am glad to hear that people appreciate those details. I'm not crazy about this looming doom and gloom plot, but I do like Shuu and Nina a lot. I'll be interested to see where the series goes. Doesn't seem like it's going to be ending any time soon, so if you're a fan, you're in luck.
