Can't recall the chapter but I remember earlier in the story there was some hinting towards the pressure placed on Aino to kill the demon king. Glad to see more details about that in this chapter.

Reminds me of JoJo. The dog gear awakened Luxi's mom stand

Kind of surprised this ended so "soon" (if you can consider 132 chapters as "soon").

Welp. That was a very Dowman Sayman manga.

5 years later... a very Dowman Sayman ending to a very Dowman Sayman manga.

Is this what they mean by "situationship"?

Well, I'll take it, it was a fun little trip

I feel the same, "I'll take it" is a good way to phrase it.

Monster girl + Very large size gap? Nice.

Some things I found interesting:

  • Karin looks so much like Hiro's mom that Yukio drops his beer. I checked and it turns out in the chapter 1, Hiro's dad dropped his cigarette when he first saw Karin.
  • Others have mentioned Yukio not being a "guest". Maybe not a coincidence that both Hiro's mom, Karin, and Yukio are tall with dark hair?

First, the dreams Hiro keeps happening are actually distorted memories of her mother and father interacting, with Karin taking her mother's place, hence her father's younger look.

I think this theory is good, I wouldn't be surprised if the dreams are a bit of magical realism, like memories from Hiro's dad or mom.

I agree with others that this ending felt well-paced.

Also,

No more domestic violence pls thanks. I'll miss all these relationships and their story.

and

Oh man, it's over? One of my favorite long running manga, such refreshing and compelling characters. I look forward to Mikanuji's next work, hopefully it will have more toxic and problematic women.

Figure 1 (above)

is funny. Also, does Majima count as an "exorcist"? Cause she's also a monster. Is a snake that eats another snake a snake hunter?

I really enjoy this manga.

I feel like Koto has been a part of a fair number of uncomfortable and lengthy conversations largely centering around the content of her character.

crushing on the person who crushes on your dad is an interesting premise. also, love the dad's energy.

I'm a fan of stories revolving around a ship dynamic. The more words needed to describe the ship, the better. At a certain wordiness the description of the ship becomes the story itself.

Lan Ting's shoulder angel and devil is a reference to Heibai Wuchang, a pair of deities in Chinese folk religion who escort spirits of the dead to the underworld (i.e the Grim Reapers). They're commonly depicted with very tall hats, and dressed in black and white respectively.

Neat, thanks for the background! I was wondering why they weren't just the classic angel/devil pair.

Wow, they finally confessed. Good for them.

I’m a sucker for vampire yuri, excited to see where this goes.

If I had a nickel... there does seem to be a non-trivial number of such manga.

So is the implication that the scientist not only literally split her body in half, but also thereafter lacked sufficient "material" to construct an equivalent body for either half, causing her to effectively shrink in size, hence the oversized labcoats? Or was she originally that size and the labcoats are just a fashion statement?

I'm in this photo and I don't like it. Meandering pointlessly through life and wishing it would all end is a pretty common experience, even for those of us who haven't made an attempt yet. Well, tomorrow could be better. Most gamblers quit right before they've hit it big.

This instantly put that meme into my head of the two guys digging where one quits right before he hits diamond. You could definitely turn that into a hopecore post. Like: GET IT TWISTED. NEVER STOP GAMBLING ON A BETTER TOMORROW.
