So, I see a lot of pictures and doujin for Little Witch Academia, but I thought it wasn't really all that yuri-ish? Is it worth watching or...?

Well, it is enjoyable to watch. They have an interesting relationship, but no, it's not yuri. Second season has some subtext, I suppose, and Akko's seiyu ships them, somehow, along with some of the crew members, but the director literally forbid the writers to pair the main character with anyone at all.

None of the anatomy below the waist makes any sense at all, which seems really weird considering it's drawn by someone who literally makes a living drawing people.
The legs are bad, but the real problem is that her thighs appear to be almost half a meter apart from each other. That's one hell of a thigh gap.

Is this manga still going really well? I am literally putting it off because it is my favourite and want to read a good chunk at a time (but I'm now scared its not going down a good path)

It's great, still a slow burner, as we've known it is technically since the beginning. It's pretty obvious this chapter holds one of the necessary keys for Yuu's development; what she's needed to understand since chapter one. Doujima-kun surprised me, but then again, Nakatani doesn't add pointless characters and forgets about them later, for which I'm really thankful.
