The new chapter is pretty nice, I really like it. It's exactly what I wanted from Seol-A, all jealous and stuff. Though I felt sad for her when she saw the photos on facebook, it might have hurt to see that No-Rae, the person she is falling for, was so happy with the ex who just came back, so when she said to No-Rae that she was tired (didn't want to hang out with her) I totally understood what she felt </3. I think if she keeps that weird attitude our No-Rae will notice something is off with her and maybe she will ask and that could start more drama that could lead to them realizing the other feels the same.

I feel like No-rae will notice that Seol-A is jealous of her ex, ahh I want this to happen.

Even though the guy has just came back for a day or for a few days, I'm sure he won't dissapear without talking toNo-Rae again and sice he seems to still be into No-Rae, I believe he's going to try to get back together or ask No-Rae to give it a try again.

I can totally feel this will be the arc that will lead No-Rae and Seol-A to confess or kiss.

Wow it seems it was an interesting chapter even though it was a flashback because you guys have made 3 pages in just a few hours. I cant read it now, but Im happy about the discussion.

Again, I love Fluterring Feelings.
I love Halmoni for putting the efforts and time into this wonderful manhwa.
I love all the people who have taken their time to typeset Halmoni's translation for all of us to enjoy it better. To name them all: QCO, d.d.d., kyra, cold, some anonymous FB person, thatanon, and anonymous (hope i didnt miss anyone)
Last but most, I love our cute author Ssamba for creating this sensational story & art despite the critical remarks for her chosen devices. I'm sure everyone has different opinions, but to me Ssamba has created a very original story in the yuri world.

I've read thousands of yuri mangas for over 8 years, and it's the first time that a manhwa felt so close to heart. Yes, I do have many other favorite yuri works such as Aqua Blue Cinema, Aoi Hana, Octave, Shoujo Holic, Kimi Koi Limit, Girl Friends, and many more (mostly still going and not finished yet). Most of them I liked because they're either cute, or mature, or indifferent, or idealistic. But Seola and Norae are the most realistic characters that I've felt close to. Maybe it's because I'm Asian while Japanese are the least Asian i've known, I feel familiar to this manhwa's characters than the other manga's characters.

Anyway, only because Norae and Seola felt SO real to me that I love it when Ssamba throws at them all these "clichés" (or "not cliche" incidents). YES, I do want to see our cute little couple experience them ALL! ALL! ALL! All the things that have happened so far still feel very "original" to me.

I know I overused the word "feel" when describing the series but what can i do? We're talking about Fluttering Feelings after all!

It's not that I dislike cliches in my manga. It's just cumulative in the case of FF. She used the "conversation overhearing" twice. The "car/bike/bus accident" THREE TIMES, the "love rival" multiple times, the dead ex, the "I run away from my feelings by going back home", deep conversation on the beach, etc...

I'm used to these cliches. But they rarely show up all simultaneously in the same story.

What was the probability of the ex showing up in the middle of the confession? He disappeared for years, but he shows up and interrupts a confession. He must have had a spider-sense tingling.

I'll keep reading it, because Seol-a and No-rae are really nice characters, with a great personality, they are both adorable and I want to see them kiss (in chapter 100? I doubt they go further than that), but my enjoyment gets spoiled whenever I roll my eyes up because yet another cliche shows up.

I guess what Ssamba lacks is actually an editor, who can help her shape her story better.

Haha, of course you believe those are clichés. Girl, love rivals happen in reality all the time, especially if you or your crush is hot. And in a long love story love rivals need to appear or do you want the story to be boring?
Accidents are definitely cliches so I'll give you that (though car accidents in Korea sadly happen a lot irl)

The ex stuff was a cliché but you exaggerate a lot. Some things happened because of the context of the moment and based on real life. They are common things but because they actually happen a lot in real life, a story that wants to be realistic might have them at some point.

By the way, how can you read something that makes you roll your eyes in every chapter because of its lack of originality (according to you)? Thats like me reading Citrus, because at least thats what happened to me when I read a few chapters.

I feel like everyone forgets No-Rae's conversation with her brother, about the right path. And ssamba probably wont get too deep with the sexuality stuff until our girls get together (remember we still have around 50+ chapters left)

About cliches, yeah FF have them but all love stories have them too. Or stories in general. Animes and mangas (yuri or anything) always have no matter how good they are. The cliches arent dumb so its fine. No-Rae and Seol-A are great characters that never have acted OOC and have character development so that what I like the most.

Regarding the same gender part, I think Norae did contemplate about it when she asked her brother about the saying "Dont go down something that isn't a path" and thats why she pushed away Seola so harshly that time.

And Seola? It's because she's just so damn confident (a lil vain i'd say lol). The fact that she's been hesitating for quite a while means it's outside of her comfort zone (remember even Hye-Kyung noticed Seola seemed down?). Ssamba tends to do time leap, it's already been a few weeks. If it's just a guy, I'm sure she would have already confessed the moment she realized her interest.

She was about to confess wow and I dont know if No-rae is actually that naive, like maybe she just doesnt imagine at all that Seol-A could be into her or she is getting the hint and she doesnt believe she could be right. Because I think Seol-A, even if she couldnt confess, her vibe and serious tone could be seen.

Anyway the ex, I think he probably will want to get her back or something, for drama, but I just hope No-Rae notices Seol-A's behaviour with her and completely forget about her ex.

That's awesome, because it means that whatever that happens with the ex, Seol-A is sure about wanting to be with No-Rae so if she has to fight for her she will hopefully haha. F*cking ex lol but am I the one who is happy he showed up? We all were speculating when he was going to appear and he finally did so the arc with the ex can end faster and then we are going to have around 40 chapters or less of Seol-A and No-rae only.

I finally got a chance to write a comment. I read ch 45 on the same day it was released/translated but I was so busy I couldn't come here to read everyone's thoughts and post my own. I liked this chapter! I loved seeing Seol-A grabbing No-rae's hand, making a move. I think Ji-Hwan's words had some type of impact on her plus she was jealous of the hug.
I liked Ji-Hwan this time, I never disliked him but now I kinda like him. It was a little annoying seeing him all over No-Rae at some point but at least he isn't an ass about Seol-A's feelings for No-Rae. It doesn't seem like he wants to come between them.

Now I want to see our girls flirt a little more and start realizing the other might feel the same sdjasdda excited

I think ch. 44 is the first chapter I don't like haha. It felt more like a filler and the only 'relevant' thing was the inter monologue of Seol-A. I wasn't expecting a fluffy chapter again though, ssamba likes to troll haha. Anyway nothing much to comment on this chapter, only the fact that Seol-A is still hurt by the fact that Yu-Ji might be dead. It's totally fine imo. She was her friend and maybe her first crush and now she finds out she is dead, it's shocking.

I think Ji-Hwan is going to notice something between Seol-A and No-Rae in the next chapter. He knows Seol-A a lot and maybe he is going to see her blush, etc. I think someone is going to realize they like each other before they confess to each other.

Omg this chapter, it was so cute. Seo-A blushing as she sings a love song or watches No-Rae. So cuteee. And later she sleeps on No-Rae's shoulder, and No-Rae says she is cute and everything is so cute. I need more of this fluffy stuff. I hope next chapters are similar, I need them after all the flashbacks and sad things and especially because I know there's going to be more drama later haha.

So I finally finished reading this chapter and I think it was pretty good, It made me feel sad in some parts and it made me laugh too (damn drunk Seol-A lol). What hit me the most was the last part of the chapter, when Seol-A is on her bed and she thinks of No-rae, it made my eyes water, I'm a weak person haha. The part when she is wondering what to do know with her feelings and all, aw.
I'm not sure what Yu-Ji really felt. I think the ex-friend who told Seol-A about Yu-Ji was about to tell her something else.

I missed No-Rae but I think it was pretty cool to learn more about Seol-A past and her feelings, I like how Seol-A and No-Rae are complex characters.

Can't wait for the next chapter! FF is getting intense and it's probably going to get even more intense. And I personally love these long chapters haha sorry Halmoni >.<

But if you wear your yuri goggles, you can think that, actually, Yuji had feelings for Seol-a (got jealous because she was all buddy with Oppa) and in that classroom, just voiced her own doubts about how Seol-a viewed her and actually was lying to herself.

I agree with you. When they meet ji-hwan the one Yu-ji is looking is Seol-a not him. That make me think Yu-ji is concern about Seol-a dating him and not the opposite. Yu-ji face reminded me when No-Rae saw Seol-a talking with that random guy in chapter 27.

Since I always thought she was a bitch, I felt she was jealous of Seol-A at that moment. Idk her serious face maybe me think that and I dont think she looked that surprised at seeing Seol-A in the class after she heard them, even the other girls seemed more worried, though that could be because she was so shocked to react. Maybe she had feelings for Seol-A and that was her way to suppress them.

I am not entirely sure (might just be overthinking it), but I was rereading chptr 1 and I noticed that when both Seol-a and No-Rae are walking past each other in the crowd; stopping in their tracks, there is a woman in the background for No-rae, and a male for Seol-a.. Could that be a preconceived notion of a heterosexual relationship (male meeting a female for the first time)? Thus indicating who would be the "man" and "woman" of the series, etc?.......IDK, just thought it was interesting to think about.

But it's still way more feasible than Seol-a actually being thoroughly attracted to Yu-ji romantically and consciously being aware of it. (If so, then she would already know that she can be attracted to girls, in which case why would she have taken 39 chapters to realize her feelings for No-rae?)

Yeah, Jang Yu-ji appeared in chapters 12, 14, 31.

Here's a thing I once wrote somewhere else summarizing all her appearances:

As far as we know from her very few flashback appearances so far (chapter 12, 14, 31), she was someone that Seol-a knew in high school. She pretended to be Seol-a's friend, but in fact, she were using her. (And she wasn't the only one, as there were other girls who did the same.)

There has been NO indication so far that she had any romantic interest in Seol-a nor that Seol-a had any romantic interest in her. She was just a fake friend who was using her. (Note: This part is just my opinion and interpretation.)

Chapter 12

Seol-a's thoughts:

"Now that I think about it, there were two types of girl around me.
Girls who spread malicious rumors about me behind my back
and girls who approached me with some underhanded scheme."

Yu-ji was one of the latter.

Flashback:

"Use? What's so bad about that?
If you say it like that, then Baek Seol-a is using us too. When she first came here, she had no friends, after all.
Baek Seol-a's happy because she can hang out with us, and we're happy because we get to have a g.r.e.a.t. friend like her.
That's what you call 'symbiosis.' That's what 'friends' are for."

Chapter 14

In a flashback, Seol-a got back at her by asking Ji-hwan to come to their school and Seol-a pretended that they were really close and probably romantically involved. Yu-ji seemed unhappy to see that (though not clearly shown).

So one of Yu-ji's hidden motives was likely to try to get close to Ji-hwan via Seol-a. Which is what Seol-a thought No-rae was also trying to do.

It's just two panels of flashback. It seems to be Yu-ji staring at Seol-a and looking kind of taken aback, and Seol-a staring back sternly. And they are surrounded by other people who look a bit nervous as though something awkward just happened. So likely, Yu-ji and Seol-a probably just had a confrontation, and Seol-a said something mean and direct to her.

Seol-a got this flashback right after No-rae said to her, "I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore." So my guess is Seol-a said something similar to Yu-ji.

Like all of you, I loved the "younger sister my ass" line. When I read it I got surprised because I think she knows she likes/is falling for No-Rae and not just suspecting it. She is being really conscious of her feelings, I think and that's why she is acting strange but she is also really touchy. I have a feeling that Seol-A will be flirty with No-Rae, I dont think she would tell No-Rae but even if she is planning to hide what she feels I feel like she still wouldnt resist to be touchy with her or something... Or maybe I'm wrong and she starts acting similar to No-Rae at the beginning. Doesnt seem like that judging from the last scene.
maybe she wont smile and try to act normal until she gets used to it?
