Being honest is, indeed, a honor. You wanna know which country in the world has the highest rate of deaths by overwork? The USA. Then come many third world countries from Africa and South America, then Asian countries like Japan. The Japanese are, afaik, the only ones who don't try to hide the truth behind these passings. In the USA, the corporate establishment is very strict about never using the word "overwork" when related to deceases: a death by overwork is usually described as a simple "cardiovascular accident." Sometimes a "cardiovascular accident due to an unhealthy lifestyle." The reports never spell out that the unhealthy lifestyle in question was a workload of 16 hours a day.

As for suicides, I don't really have info about the problem, but my educated guess would be that culture has a lot to do with it. It's one thing to live in a country where religion teaches you that suicide is the worst of mortal sins, another to live in a country where tradition teaches you that suicide is the ultimate act of courage and uprightness.

I have no idea, so I'll take your word for it. Congratulations on completely missing or ignoring the point though.

Diets are usually a trap since even when they work, you're just gonna gain the weight back if you don't change the rest of your lifestyle to keep your weight where it is afterwards. Diets are designed to make you lose weight, not maintain it; if you stay indefinitely on a diet which works then you'll just slowly kill yourself.

I just re-read this, and I feel like we might be missing something from TL. Itsuki's sibling was referred as female in the first half of the chapters, but as male (including by themself) later on. Not sure if namo intentionally hid the sibling's gender and the TL just assumed they were female or if it's that weird transphobic japanese thing about refering to transwomen as men in the second part of the story... Either way it feels really strange to have Itsuki change pronouns mid-story. Anyone looked at the raws to clear the issue up?

I'm actually most inclined to begin integrating all of these into two-part (or more, in rare cases) series. This addresses a number of issues that other solutions unfortunately don't, and it's much easier for us to do now than when we originally chose the tagging solution.

I am looking for a original manga. The story started when a teacher going on a home visit, and she has to visit one of the delinquent students house. She first thought the student’s mom would be scary, but then her mom appears to be so sweet (I do remember the student’s mom has long black hair though) Soon, the teacher finds out that lady is a single mom, and she has to work as a massage woman in order to have money to complete the procedure to divorce her husband. And the teacher started to help her with that… I do remember this manga has a sequel too. I’d be thankful if someone helps me to find this!

That is a fabulous idea. I'll look into it!

Maybe this idea can be incorporated with the recent decision to add covers to image batches. This way we'll have easy access to both a high res version of the illustrations and to the artists.

All I’m saying is that calling korean, chinese, thai, american, and taiwanese comics yuri isn’t accurate. I like that dynasty has been expanding it’s scope in terms of different wlw comics, images, and media, and I just think that the tag should be updated to reflect that.

You do realize that accuracy is not the end goal with tagging in Dynasty, right? Furthermore, yuri in Dynasty, afaik, has never refered to "Yuri Genre", even when there were only japanese works on the site.

I think calling GL generic or ‘doesn’t have the same ring to it’ are both kinda non-issues.
