I love it but idk man I wouldn’t complain if there was more sex and not just sexy intimacy in my yuri, like instead of the beach I would have love to see them fucking

I am intrigued, but also… I think "MC with social anxiety/some type of complex meets person who even thought is beautiful/perfect also has problems" formula has been used too much lately when telling stories(yuri) with adult characters

Both of them are in the cover so I’m sure they will end up together, I don’t think anything real bad will happen either

Oh, this reminds me of a controversy that I read a few years ago about a Chinese actress, she did all that Yuri Biz and yuri dramas, she ended up being homophobic lol

mmm Idk if its a self insert because after Run away with me, Girl! she had two successful series; And Then the Heroines Are Gone (ongoing) and Annoying and Cunning Sisters (finished). But neither are yuri, in fact Battan has never worked in a yuri magazine, mostly josei and seinen, so I think she just has a slow but constant rhythm for work.

plus My Sister's Friend was published during Run away with me, Girl! was ongoing and that’s is very good

I'm pretty sure the main character doesn't actually know what NTR means.

Nene and the guy don’t have to be a relationship for it to be ntr.

NTR is whatever a person wants it to be.

Evidently.

No but NTR it is not only about cheating, but also about stealing and the feeling of betrayal that comes from it. You can find NTR doujinshis about a boy who finds out that the girl he likes (they are not dating) is sleeping with his brother. Either way, this manga is closer to netori than anything else

But we don't even know the boy in this story and nothing suggests he likes anyone. No one is being taken from anybody.

Yes I know, that’s why at the end of my comment I said “if anything this manga is closer to netori”
I don’t think this manga its ntr or netori, but the comment was about what is and isn’t NTR, and it is true that they do not always have to be a couple for it to be NTR

Sadly a lot of toxic yuri is not of my liking, but I like Tsutsui Itsuki so I’m going to keep an eye on this one! I really like that the suicidal girl has this yūrei appearance

Yes, it was obvious that it was her!
Now that someone mentioned Boys Gilding the Lily Shall Die? It is fun how the reaction to any yuri that breaks the common formula is always the same. Especially because the discourse began quite early too, two chapters and people were already losing their minds. In this neither Kaede nor Nami are with a man and still caused the same reaction.

I think it’s awesome to have a yuri that doesn’t focus on the romance between the two leads.

In addition, at least for me, I think that much of what people call "toxic" between Nami and Kaede is simply, lack of communication in a adult relationship, I know that people hate that trope or find it unrealistic, but I completely disagree.

I also need to say that I really liked Nami’s ‘I’ll be leaving you otherwise’ lol I know it was brutal but there so much more than romance in life, especially adult life.

I explained it in the comment above yours! No need to take it seriously because it’s a “Wouldn't it be fun if” type of comment
It's just that those are the only two options I can think about why Yoru feels "incapable" to reciprocate Hime's affection

Sorry, I didn't see it ^^

I'm sorry, but it's just that Yoru does not seem upset by Hime-chan's unhealthy needs, rather she seems sad for being ‘unable’ to respond with the same intensity as Hime-chan

Respond to the same intensity doesn't mean what you said before, maybe they aren't compatible or something. Well, there are cases that it is the reason, but I think Hime-chan is just really intense and Yoru isn't. At least that's what I think.

Yep, I get your point but it was a joke, that’s why I added the lol at the end. I was thinking about that meme with the lesbian who continues to make their partners realize that they are trans men

I have a feeling Yoru is going to 1) come out as a trans man and they are going to break up or 2) come out as ace and they are going to break up lol

Uh... How do you think that?? Because there's nothing in this manga that indicates either of these.

And I love Hime-chan and her dramas lol.

They think because Yoru is drawn with a guyish appearance they can't possibly be intended to be an actual girl. It's just shallow appearance standards and gender conformity bullshit.

Or they're trolling. One or the other.

I know people online love to inmediately paint the other party as a bad person to win the argument but if you take the time to read my previous comments you can see why I said that. Also, you and I are strangers, please refrain from making assumptions about me.

This is a mess

So many theories and predictions how this manga will turn into het, conversion therapy, no yuri, misogynist, etc. When its about a teacher having to deal with students who are teenagers(hell). All these conflicts with her students will probably be used to make her reflect on her ‘unrequited’ 10 year-old teenage love. I understand the concern about misogyny but it wouldn’t be the first not the last yuri with it, for me it’s not really a problem as I think you can always get more than just the negative parts from a story but I understand if for others if it is a problem. But this is too much fuss for a manga that barely has three chapters

Not to add more fuel but its fun seeing people panic at this manga just because it breaks ‘how a yuri should be/feel like’ lol

The first chapter is tagged as yuri in pixiv but not the second one, so its going to be a mix. Also, Hanano Chiaki has done het stuff before, mostly pixiv originals (ex. age-gap about a girl that pinch the nipples of a teenager boy)

The ‘perhaps Oda-kun?’ at the end makes it even more obvious that the sender is that female student, sometimes I think authors forget that (we) readers know the manga genre lol

Idk, I prefer to think that Nene is just dumb/innocent instead of this being a secret plan of her to make Kano take the initiative or something. Its more fun that way lol

All yuri should be like this

joined Feb 25, 2025

Yep that’s why I said that the general idea is the same but the difference is that Ten is a girl, now I would not call her experiences detailed, there is only one chapter and some yuri use the "everyone treats me as a prince and I don't like it" superficially without deepening it. We have to see how the story progesses first. Either way I’m intrigued because it's full of things I like lol I hope we enter into ecchi territory too

joined Feb 25, 2025

Fair.
I mean, Ten is a girl, so obviously the reasons why she would feel alienated are different from what a male MC would do, but to me at least the overall idea it’s not different from other mangas with this setting, because in many of these stories, the reason why mc feels kinship with the non-human love interest is not because she is not human, it is because of the similarity in how people treat them (fear them, assume things about them, admire them, etc.) without trying to know them.
I hope it doesn't seem like I am calling the story boring, on the contrary I am intrigued because is a popular setting that I like plus yuri plus beautiful art

I mean, even in those straight romcoms an important part of the plot is exactly that the protagonist feels alienated, with the alien girl being the only one who truly understands him. You know, the boy who feels that he does not fit and the alien girl who finally sees him for who he really is, etc. So it is nothing new in this setting.

I love the art style and characters designs, especially Ten and the director, even though yuri is full of women not every day you see designs like that!
Also yes, To Love Ru haha

sooo is the typical power fantasy with the yandere MC, cringe, but I love the art style

Again I get panic with the axe, but manga adaptation of novels tend to be short so readers are interested and buy the novel. Its a little treat to make people think “Hey! I want to know more”
