This is pretty much one of the best (short) yuri romance stories I've ever read. Think I've read it 8x already. Fantastic.

It doesn't require the rest of life to be unhappy for a moment of happiness to move someone to tears. It also doesn't require invoking a stereotype to see that the husbands are likely in some long-hour jobs that require traveling. You have to be truly clueless to not see that the facts you are taking for granted are merely the product of your own negative bias.

The comments here are strange. People have universally decided that the two women are unhappy with their husbands. I got the impression they loved their children, they are happy, and the love they found with each other was added happiness. You are all presuming way too much about the part of their lives you aren't shown.

The same could say about your interpretation though.

That's fine. But why, given that the only thing we see from them is that they are happy, do most people assume that they are dispairingly unhappy and practically human slaves to their husbands? So melodramatic.

It's a good thing one of them didn't have a bruise from bumping into a table or something; everyone would be absolutely certain that the husband came home and beat her to death each night. :P

The wtf factor is quite high in this one.

This quickly became one of my favorite one-shots. Both characters are fantastic. What a great job on the facial expressions. I hope the rest gets translated soon!

Also, am I the only one who gets a little annoyed at the perfect score characters? I just don't like it when a character gets 100 points on every test and never even studies. Always kind of hated that in stories, but since it's in like every manga I just get over it.

Nope, you aren't the only one. Never studying and getting perfect scores on every test makes you pretty unpopular with the normal students. I got a lot of disgusted looks in school. So ya, it's a real thing, and you're having the typical real reaction to it. :P

Yep, I was guessing that, but it made no sense. cell phones and the afterlife being identical to real life, theyre still having daily normal life together, and sex, and she has scars too. It was far too misdirectingly symbolic. I feel like you just told me the story by changing nearly all of it. To me that makes the original a miss.

Step 1: human slavery. Step 2: go read something else.
