All health issues aside, I just find smoking a massive turnoff, to the point where I just thought "You know, I'm not having fun reading this" and stopped.

Well, um. Pity that's over, I could read Morishima Akiko forever, whether there's any plot in particular or not. Sensei and Mari are always interesting, and the main couple are cute and sweet and I'll be honest, I love to look at both of them.

So Kiku loves Sena. All right . . . I have to admit the burning question in my mind is . . . why?

Mahi-Mahi will probably be blowing kisses at each other most of the afternoon.
Why do I have the feeling that those two could do anal intercourse with strapon vibrators and they'd still seem impossibly sweet and innocent?

I really don't get the point of having a rapprochement, or really any kind of engagement at all, with that person. Any time anyone tries to be nice, she just uses it as an opportunity to mess with them, so fine. Let her work out her own demons.

I've stopped reading this. Bottom line: I didn't get into yuri to read shounen. This is just bad shounen except with all girls.

just saying... pretty sweet.
except the pool maintenance has got to be murder!

Yeah, but she doesn't do it. She retired from the murder game.

Whoa! Head-pats on, what, the second encounter? At this rate of lewdness in a few chapters we'll be at HAND-HOLDING!!!

Man I’m a little disappointed I don’t think we will be going to poly route with this latest chapter

Still seems as open as ever to me. You did read the last page, right?

They're very cute as usual. But the important question here is, are those "Qu'il Fait Bon" cakes really good? Clearly the presentation is snappy, but that's Japan for you. Even where I live, there's places where you got the beautifully organized fruit on top but the cake part is meh, the whipped cream is iffy or even fake and so on.

Wait I don't get it sorry. Does he want to become a woman? or just look feminine?

Does it matter? Does one make him a better or worse person? Does it change the comedy either way?

That said, I think while we don't have genuine information on that, we do have a clue: The guy is asking about "pulling it off" which strikes me as more an appearance issue, like how do you "pass" for being what you are not. So maybe just a look feminine/crossdress kind of thing.
I have noticed that while in North America crossdressing as a phenomenon on its own is these days much less visible and discussed than transgender transitions, and indeed I'd say much less discussed than it was years ago, in Japanese fiction at least crossdressing, particularly male crossdressing as female, continues to be a lot more commonly depicted than actual transgender. So in a manga, all else being equal crossdressing would still tend to be the way to bet.

I'm not sure either side is totally healthy . . . near as I can make out transgender issues continue to be sidelined in Japan, but I sometimes get the feeling that in North American queer subcultures you're practically not allowed to be just a guy who wants to crossdress any more, that's taken as almost having to mean you really should be trans.

Errr the translation is a bit off, Tachibana Sayu is their top worker at the brothel, she got the top customer rate, not top customer

Ah. I was thinking "Good lord, that girl must be rich and horny if she's single-handedly keeping a company with 40-60 prostitutes in business".

You know, aside from the sexuality, I really appreciate that this is one of the few manga that has what I would consider a realistic attitude towards work. Well I mean, in practice my attitude is slightly different, but that's because I get to work in a library, which means I both have a sacred mission and am surrounded by books. If I had to work in some office I can't imagine having the sort of eager beaver, pretending it all matters attitude so many Japanese characters seem to have.

I think the subtext of this manga is rapidly becoming . . . text.

I demand this evil misunderstanding to be cleared IMMEDIATELY.

I think it pretty much will. If anything, I'd bet this will be used to get her past her old trauma, bringing us to a new place where it'll be easier to get past the, um, worker-client relationship.

You sound like Maxwell Smart lol

But they didn't say it was a trick.

At first I thought Tadokoro would be sad and angry at Nikaidou because, when asked about their relationship, Nikaidou denied that they are girlfriends and said they are just friends.

Then I realized that Tadokoro and Nikaidou are probably on the same wavelength when it comes to coming out... Tadokoro is prolly very happy that Nikaidou kept their relationship out a secret.

I'm not sure either of them saw it as denial or "keeping their relationship a secret". She didn't say "We're just friends, nothing weird nope nope nope", she said "Our relationship is VERY FRIENDLY". Just how friendly? Friendly enough that she was holding Tadokoro-san possessively as she said it. I think in her mind she was saying "She's mine" in a less-embarrassing, subtler Japanese sort of way, kind of like one might indicate "I love you" by saying "The moon is beautiful tonight".

And Tadokoro-san probably more or less got it and was happy. It's just that eyepatch girl is not mega-subtle and didn't catch the signal.

Well, that was a metric buttload of karma, wasn't it?
Either that or Sakurako-san's chi is so powerful she was able to direct him into self-injury without touching him.
