Hey I hope it's not too weird to pull a comment from months ago but, I just found there was this anime thread so I was procrastinating while cheaking the most recent pages, and saw this post, and just wanted to say that I am loving the Star Twinkle so far! Especially Lala~

Which for me is a bonus when watching Machikado since Shimako and Lala are voiced by the same VA, Konomi Kohara, and I always enjoy hearing Voice actors I like in other roles, same for Momo's VA, Akari Kitō, who did Noa and Aru from Wataten and Boochi~

(I also found it amusing that one role she is a magical girl while in the other she a "devil girl" with the mission to kill a one lol but in both cases I am shipping them with the pinky magical girl ^^)

Edit: I just wish they'd adapt Sekai de Ichiban Oppai ga Suki, Hino-san no Baka or Bright and Cheery Amnesia, or do a remake of Classroom of the Elite(since they fucked up a really really great light novel story) or make a second season but change the biased directors and I'd be fine for a few years.

I personally like to see Shinmai Shimai no Futari Gohan get animated.

Oh! I would like anime adaptation for those three, but most definetly would like an anime for Shinmai Shimai!

Poor Sayaka Saeki, her name has been given meaning as "doomed third wheel".

Anyway Sayaka got her own LN spin-off so I think she got off better than most characters in a similar position.
Regardless of what their role in their future may be, I am looking foward to seeing more of both Aki and Miki.

Also I am happy my wish of seeing Yori with glasses in the story happened sooner than expected ^^

It's gonna be a long month for the next chapter, there isn't even a Nettaigyo chapter this month to look foward.... (when is the next AdaShima update coming >o>)

It's very recent, with only 5 chapter at the moment, but Whispering You a Love Song has been really good in my opinion, though is more of "cool senpai and cute kohai" rather than "best friends"

certainly a development that I wasn't expecting, but with only being the second chapter, it may have been a bit awkard but I can't really feel bother by it, I do think the dude asking her out just to then run away and how "impact-less" the earthquakes were drawn doesn't help with that awkard feeling the chapter gave.

I can understand why this development bothers others tho, really, be it in the second, 20th or 100th chapter, introducing what seems like a love triangle is unlikely to go down with the entire audience ^^;;

That being said, I'll keep reading to see where it's going, and I gotta said I really like that panel of them hugging in page 17.

BTW, sorry to side tracked, but I was reading earlier pages in this thread and it got me wondering, could anybod recommend me some series or oneshots with age gap but where the characters are adults? like mid 20s with 30 or 40 years old, stuff like that?

Adachi looked pretty cute in the panel after Shima said yes, and so did her and Hino in that one where they were staring awkardly at each other ^^

Besides the long amount of time without Konatsu, I've still being enjoying this manga a lot, but ever since that topic got to the forefront it's been rather awkard, I hope she still goes ahead with the story she has in mind and it doesn't get affected by all of this. I mean, sure, if someone wants to believe it could end up like amanchu (which btw yikes toward that final development) that's ok, I doubt it will go that way and I want to keep going along until it finishes.

Just hope thing can go more smoothly soon enough.

Still super dissapointed there wasn't more of this ship through the show, I was so on board during the episodes leading to Ruru joining the group for real, but sadly not much came from these two after that...

I think is kinda worth remembering that while most of us are reading this story only recently, it's actually being going on since 2012, this is old stuff for them, combine that with the fact that there's been another manga adaptation that also covered around the same stuff (and then probably the anime will take its own shot at it), and it makes sense that it trying to go through the old content somewhat fast.
Of course that doesn't mean you have to like the pacing, structure or how it handles the story at all, but still think it's something to keep in mind.

It is one-sided. There is no hints that Shimamura feels anything remotely romantic for Adanchi at this point. I'm sure that will change. But right now it's 200% one-sided.

I disagree, there's been many times through the LN and this chapter as well where it shows that Shima not only cares for Adachi more than she lets on, but also small moments and lines where it shows she may feel something else besides just friendship , only to backtrack on her own mind, get into denial mode and do many mental hoops just to make the situation seem like nothing special or that it's something "else". if there really wasn't anything at all there wouldn't be any need for half the thoughts she goes through when something with Adachi happens.

Personally Slice of Life is probably my favorite genre so AdaShima has been a great fit for me and I enjoy the slow burn aspect (though I do admit knowing what will happen thanks to some coments here help ease it up lol) and while yeah the "one-sided" situation could be very frustrating in a different situation and done poorly, but here is pretty nice, it really isn't actually one sided but Shimamura is going through it at a much slower pace.

I guess it depends on the lyrics but mostly on how close to her ears she whisper the love song hehehe, I say she needs to be close enough to feel her lips on the neck, then it wouldn't matter if the song is good or not... it could even be Despacito

I was thinking they would do the usual "singing a special song in a concert" bit from other romance/music stories (and regardless I still think there will be another concert at some point) but considering that's what started Kino's "admiration/love" started I felt that it may just increase that point of view on her.
Clearly the solution is right there in title lol sing/whisper the love song directly to her while alone.

(next time I re-read it I'll keep that in mind, if Yori/someone I like were to whisper that song to me I don't know I would crack up laughing or be smiten, probably both haha)
