Read these a long time ago. Still some of my favorite stories. Very well done.

I just decided to reread the ones here on Dynasty and I have to agree that the "I just did what anyone would have done" line stands out quite strongly.

It is interesting because, from very early on in the story, it appears that Yuu thinks of Nanami-sempai in a special way. In the first chapter, when she is seeking advice about the love confession, she decides to ask her because of the fact that she sees a similarity between them based on Nanami's statement that she has never gotten exited about being confessed to by someone.

Then, as the story continues, she repeatedly notices Nanami's true feelings that she is able to hide behind a mask of competence and bravado from even her closest friends. She simply understands her better than anyone else. I don't see any indication that she has this kind of insight into other people's thoughts or feelings.

She also tends to bend over backward to help Nanami and protect her from, among other things, herself. She is baffled by why a person who is as fragile as she knows Nanami is would put herself in positions time and again where she has to perform in the public eye, with the price of failure being the dissolution of her carefully designed persona that she has built atop the frightened, shy little girl who couldn't make friends and hid behind others. Yuu, who is the only person who knows the real Nanami-sempai, seems dedicated to protecting the public face that Nanami has built. When Nanami, and now Maki, notice how special Nanami seems to be to her, from other people's perspectives, she consistently responds with a variation on the theme of "That is what anyone would do." She doesn't recognize her special treatment of Nanami as being special. (I wonder if her opposition to the play isn't at least partially motivated by the fact that she knows it will be nerve wracking for Nanami?)

I really would like someone to ask her, "If that is what anyone would do, is it what you would do for anyone? If it were someone other than Nanami-sempai, would you go so far to support/protect them?" I really would like to know the answer to that myself! I don't know if she would say yes or no... (My gut says that the real answer is no, that she wouldn't go that far to protect someone else.)

In a lot of ways, it seems like, if you were not privy to Yuu's inner thoughts, you would think that she was in love with her fairly early on. Her behavior patterns certainly make it seem that way. In fact, you might think that she was in love, but either too shy or unsure of herself to show it openly.

In any event, the line at the end of chapter 5 speaks volumes: "I couldn't just simply give up. But I didn't realize it at that time."

I really do love this story! It is very well written.

I can't quite articulate what it is but this story is just so good. Even if they put a crappy love triangle in this story I will likely stick around.

I'm trying to reserve judgement but Maki is ever so slightly leaning towards creepy in my opinion. What he's given us could easily not be the whole picture. The only boy among many sister's thing is interesting. They say women can tell when a man grew up around a lot of women.

Nice! I was thinking a gyaru might be really fun to have fun in a yuri. Really wish there were more delinquents in yuri.

This was so good. Bonus chapter was even better. Wish it could continue. Would love to see more of these two.

Very cool that this is one of this authors first tries at yuri.

This is so great. My brain is aware how long its taking for the relationship to start but I don't really mind it in this story.

Now we all get to be happy for a person discovering this great show. Pretty good Christmas present right there. Unless they just didn't recognize the character. I almost didn't at a glance.

Meh. Seems believable but I still can't seem to care about any of these characters or what happens to them.

This is a fun manga. I kept thinking something was going to happen to make me want to drop it. I guess because so many things will make me do that. ^^;

OK I'm annoyed too, but I also understand that Japanese school girls going out as kids/teens is considered normal. Not to mention these sheltered upper-class girls might not understand a lot of things. I mean MC does only really start to realize what love truly is after getting shoved down and bitten. I mean she's never been in a relationship before and the girls talk about marriage interviews - so it's likely they've never even considered choosing a relationship themselves and/or love.

I think it's really shitty but those making out MC to purely a heartless bitch aren't considering a lot of the situation.

Umm. Yeah. This is pretty much what I was going to say. Ok. Not nearly as well though.
MC is young and has a big arse flaw. We see her facing it just as the story comes to an end. Probably to never be continued since the author has mad his/her point. They could meet up again later in life. We just don't know if she will break away from these traditions or what ever you call them that have her parents picking her husband.

Characters that go for what they want in terms of romance when so many others putz around for one reason or another tend to really stick out. To the bone zone for you Saikawa.

My guess is that it would depend on the intensity of the foeyay-ness and how the characters themselves change over time. If they change.

I loved this. I really like this authors stuff. Ah. The page that announces same sex marriage is legal is one of the best pages in any yuri ever.

@Homaru there is a quite a bit of hinting going on. A Street Fighter X Tekken official piece of promo art has them kinda holding each other but it's very small. Lili's butler sounds like he outs Lili in one of the Tekken endings for 5 or 6 or possibly the tag tournament games. I forget. He is commenting on Lili's interest in Asuka.
I know it's my avatar but I don't actually like Asuka. Or Sakura. or foeyay. ^^;

Don't get me wrong I'm all out for Yuku x Yata. But at that one very moment, I thought "a slight harem would be nice won't it?" In a comedic fashion i mean.

I'll bail if they do that. I finally read a yuri version of that. It's as bad as when it's a guy with a bunch of girls. I figured it would be. No offense to anyone who enjoys well . . . anything I don't.

This story is alright. Wasn't sure who the yuri was going to between. Was starting to wonder if it was going to be just something hinted at.

This was really fun! I totally thought Ichinose was going to be one of those typical Kuuderes (I dislike Kuuderes), but she's actually a really fun character!

Looking forward to more.

I love kuuderes. Overused as they are, I actually love tsunderes too. I cannot lie. Just seems like there aren't too many of the later in yuri that I actually enjoy.

This story is really entertaining. The characters are fun. I like the cover story they gave their friends. I think that worked well. Glad it stuck rather then being "cleared up."

Terms, conditions, and safewords are generally outlined in advance. Nothing is forced, and there is always a way out of the situation if you feel uncomfortable. Sometimes it can choreographed or thought ahead, where the participants are acting out roles and know what's coming. Interesting basic article here. What's depicted in this story is someone forcing themselves on another and manipulating them (ie: "I could have raped you, but didn't. Look how nice I am. You're such a little idiot. Let me control you.") Which, if you're into that in a fantasy sense, sure, go ahead. But it's not BDSM culture.

Writing quality reminds me of Fifty Shades. Lol. Reads like terrible FanFiction.

I think the comments explaining that this isn't BDSM are pretty necessary. There are a lot of misconceptions about the concept of dominance and submission in sex, especially with trying to reconcile that with true feminism (read: not sjws and fake feminazis) and autonomy. There's a lot of interesting articles about how people feel empowered and fulfilled when introducing healthy play like this into their sex lives. I don't personally participate myself but I think it's pretty fascinating.
