It's because D.Va is a popular girl who's been paired with everyone at this point, and Brigitte is about her age but none of the pairings with her and other women have really stuck in the fandom. Brigitte loves cats, D.Va has a catgirl skin. Also the tiny and huge contrast, and both are connected to big machines.

Actual character interactions have very, very little to do with shipping, especially in Overwatch. See most popular pairings, like Pharmercy or Mei/Junkrat.
