It just oozes sexual tension. Jesus. I'm surprised Amazon allowed this. Never seen such an openly pornographic cover before.

Also, where is the line between ecchi and hentai?

There really isn't one, but by "common definition" ecchi is showing panties etc., sometimes but these days somewhat rarely outright nudity, while hentai includes actual graphic sex.

I kind of get why it's ending here, but I agree - I actually went back to check whether it's just a chapter end. But, no, it's not. So it went the fairly typical fanservice "decide your own ending after we've given you enough to make clear that there will be a romantic 'end' to it" route. Cowardly, but not rare for manga and anime.

Yeah, this strikes me as "been there, read that". It's okay to do familiar stuff but I like to have some sort of twist to it, or something that'll make me feel as if it's worth "revisiting" an "old" theme with some new inspirations ... this just seems to play it very straight (ha).

It's just chapter one so everything to play for but I'll expect this won't be too memorable for me.

I suspect it'll happen, then they'll be shocked that they did it, try to figure out how they feel about it; and it'll probably take a while before happening again.

And once they get bored with that they'll have a threesome with Akira.

First one to make a stupid handholding joke will be cursed ... with something ...

Manga cats usually seem pretty unremarkable, though.

Eh. Look at the Sketchbook cats. Or the Azumanga cats. Or ... quite often they are so alien you can't really say they look cat-like at all ^^;

(best cat-filled manga is of course Sakura no Kiwa)

"And a special acknowledgment to the author of Niven's Law: "There is a technical, literary term for those who mistake the opinions and beliefs of characters in a novel for those of the author. The term is 'idiot'.""
- S. M. Stirling

This isn't about a character in this manga saying that "lolis are best!" and someone commenting "oh whoa, the author thinks that lolis are best", it's about consistently portraying the same/similar themes over and over again. Clearly there's some sort of appeal there - probably more about something else than outright pedophilia, but it'd be ridiculous to say it's completely disconnected from the author.

So the quote isn't applicable, but even if it were, it'd be pretty stupid anyway. Plenty of examples of authors inserting their own believes into characters.

It's technically not any more retarded than the idea that all straight women can easily be seduced by the right lesbian.

But giving the historical discrepancy between the two ideas ... or frankly just personal bias ^^ ... I find one idea funny and the other one just annoying. I don't think this arc fits the rest of the manga, but, eh. In the context of its crass comedy it's not enough to go bonkers over it.

Seeing a map with Japan in the middle and Europe off to the side would look very odd! Maybe I just assumed it was an international standard thing, due to 0 longitude running through greewich? I dont recall ever seeing a map not like that? I wonder if its common?

It's pretty common. Map projections are fairly "arbitrary" - for example, the Mercator projection that is usually the base of most things distorts sizes enormously: https://thetruesize.com
Anyway, Chinese maps usually have China in the center. In Japan I haven't seen that (not that I specifically looked around for it), but I wouldn't be surprised if such maps existed.

At this point I'm not sure if Nikaidou's power is innate or if it just comes with liking Tadokoro-san. It seems everyone that likes Tadokoro-san gets a coolness upgrade.

The entire manga is just Tadokoro drawing a story where there's always a hero to save her, while in reality she's viciously bullied and alone. It'll end when someone finds her sketchbook and tears it apart, leaving her with nothing.

That world map really tripped me until I realized it's mirrored ...

1 x 1/2 + 1/2 x 1/2
= 1/2 + 1/4
= 2/4 + 1/4
= 3/4

That's only if you bracket them.

No? That's just multiplication before addition, left to right.

1 x 1/2 + 1/2 x 1/2 = (1 x 1/2) + (1/2 x 1/2) = 3/4
But 1 x (1/2 + 1/2) x 1/2 would be 1 x 1 x 1/2 = 1/2

Fountain pens were absolutely standard when I went to school; in fact many teachers didn't permit anything else. Might be a German thing though.

Urk, crappy in-laws, of course. Just what we needed.

I do think however having some external factors involved makes sense, giving how ... how ... how much the 3 main characters are how they are. They'd never get anywhere by themselves ^^;

Can we even call that a twist these days? Isn't that what everyone expects? ^^;

It's just a bit too cliche for my taste. "Oh, he's so manly." Manly. Get it?! Wink wink nudge nudge.

But it's not awful or anything either.

I kinda wanted it to be more edgy about the entire stalker/pet thing. Right now it's all mellow feel-good stuff; except being a tiny bit protective and having crappy exes.

Pink is definitely a color associated with eroticism (frankly everywhere I feel; if not that than at least romance, and red being more "erotic"), but the hair color thing to me is odd too.

I'd primarily associate it with calm and quiet, somewhat bookish characters, like Nodoka (Saki), Miyuki (Lucky Star),Watashi (Jinrui) and so on. Unless it's a very striking pink, then it's more "genki girl" I'd say.

But maybe the confusion is that pink real life hair is seen that way and that it's different in manga and anime? I wouldn't know about that, so that'd make some sort of sense to me.

Some pages are out of virgins. Err, I mean, out of order.

Mh, so virginity only counts het-sex. Might be conveniently heteronormative for once ^^

Drills are always Tengen Toppa ;)

The bad guys wanted to crash the moon into Earth, but it's not the real moon. The real moon had been hidden away in a pocket dimension.

So clearly that's the reference.

I'll add that I didn't like these werewolf chapters as much as the beginning of the series. Well, not that it's that long, but still.

I agree, but then again I have a thing for one eye being covered by hair/bang or heck even an eye patch

Especially if you want to eat your lover's eyeball, and who wouldn't.
