I mean, it's the most "hot button" topic to discuss with this series (and many others), so naturally that's what discussions will gravitate toward. It's like the FB algorithm that pushes controversial content not because of an agenda, but because it drives "engagement".
Plus, new readers may not have been around when the discussion was last had and naturally make a stab at it. Personally I've definitely said my piece on the matter and will, at most, refer to and link old posts when it arises again... and respond with snark (as above), unless told not to.
Also, what else is there really to discuss that's topical? The nature of heteronormativity? Hasn't that also been done to death? Whether or not and to what degree Aya is homophobic, inconsiderate/carelessly rude or just ignorant? Haven't we already had that one?
Being innovative is tough work.
All that said, I just reread the latest chapter (5) and enjoyed it tremendously. Gotta re-read the other chapters, too, I think I haven't seen the "full" versions of 3 and 4 yet. I hope they are now extra juicy.
