I've re-read this for, like, the seventh time now and the bottom left panel on page 21 still sent me. As did page 28's midsection, though just slightly less so.
My favorite oneshot.

Inb4 Shiori jumped in to save Hinako and gets eaten instead.

Honestly, any character besides Miko dying at this point would feel off to me. Either they all live or Miko dies right now. Can't have four chapters without Hinako, can't have four chapters without Shiori. Four chapters without Miko seems more realistic to me, but there's probably a better way.

Wait, ELSA doesn't realize why Yvonne is blushing? Isn't she actively trying to get Yvonne to fall in love with her?

Yeah, I'm just as surprised as you :D
Maybe she's also surprised that Yvonne is even aware of the situation while she herself had settled for fully savoring it?

Curious that there's so little talk about this one. I guess it may be because it's quite a bit ahead on Mangadex?

My battlecry in online games is usually "I like cats."
What can I say, I like cats, so I fully endorse this chapter.

Imagine the two monsters are together and they both just eat the main girl

Not yet, Shiori won't lay a finger on Hinako until she really wants to keep living, and I don't think Miko's confession has achieved that quite yet.

That twist infuriated me ngl

Yeah I’m gonna be pretty mad if Miko really does try to eat her after all this, I don’t wanna see Shiori be the one to save Hinako here

I hope she actually turns back into a human and the bite turns into a kiss/hickey

It's certainly a manga where you should always doubt that what we believe to see/hear is what's actually going on.
I'm looking very much forward to how this continues.

Also note that, while we might see Shiori as being deliberately dismissive of Miko being actually benevolent so that she can get rid of her without scarring Hinako too much, she never fully transformed into a human during the entire chapter. Her left arm (mostly hidden) always remained in monster shape, before and after we're shown it. Could be that she was actually not trusting Miko's words or that she was just really looking for a chance to off her.
Also that gash on her cheek is still there, so I guess she can't easily regenerate wounds inflicted by a fox spirit?

I can't help reading Mai's flirtatious lines in Amber Lee Connor's voice. I think she fits her appearance and sultriness perfectly.

I think it’s a few chapters past 8 now in the magazine but yeah I only plan on buying tank raws

Question: If there happen to be some noteworthy twitter specials, will you also do them?

I mean, it's the most "hot button" topic to discuss with this series (and many others), so naturally that's what discussions will gravitate toward. It's like the FB algorithm that pushes controversial content not because of an agenda, but because it drives "engagement".
Plus, new readers may not have been around when the discussion was last had and naturally make a stab at it. Personally I've definitely said my piece on the matter and will, at most, refer to and link old posts when it arises again... and respond with snark (as above), unless told not to.

Also, what else is there really to discuss that's topical? The nature of heteronormativity? Hasn't that also been done to death? Whether or not and to what degree Aya is homophobic, inconsiderate/carelessly rude or just ignorant? Haven't we already had that one?
Being innovative is tough work.

All that said, I just reread the latest chapter (5) and enjoyed it tremendously. Gotta re-read the other chapters, too, I think I haven't seen the "full" versions of 3 and 4 yet. I hope they are now extra juicy.

Just outright cancelling the Marriage Interview is a ballsy move by Tae, more power to her.

Is it, though? The other series honestly isn't too bad, but Arioto's incredibly imbalanced power dynamic makes me pretty damn uncomfortable. Someone as obsessively dominant as Aya would definitely be an abuser IRL

You naturally can have nuanced and reasonable discussions about this topic (which has been had plenty in this thread, you can go back and read if you like), but the post above was kinda lacking nuance and reason ;)

I mean, Hino really didn't do anything wrong, technically. As far as we saw. Knowing her, she may not have been smelling just the softener...

Ho ho ho...

Two points:

  • Hino never actually claims that she was sniffing the fabric softener.

  • Koguma will need to get dressed without her panties. (So I retract my earlier "no punchline" claim-- that's the punchline.)

We'll never know what exactly made the sniffing sound... Ho ho ho

Let's not forget, Koguma will also need to get dressed in Hino's clothes for the time being, since hers will have to go into the drier first. Add "no undies" to that and, well, let's say I'm looking forward to it.

That was probably a bit too straightforward...
It was forward, all right, but there's nothing remotely straight about the two of you, so you're good.

Look at widdle Koguma being so dissappointed!
She's so precious. Her naughty subconscious was hoping so much that Hino would finally take that bath with her, only to be let down by how considerate Hino was once again.

Thanks for the translation, I've been looking forward to this all week.

How come Miyako talk to Sayaka that she is Riko's partner, in front of a student who is an occasional customer? Unlike coming out...she completely bypassed the process as if everyone already knows. I wonder if she told Sayaka while both of them in the car, and maybe her own gayder makes her know that Sayaka is not straight.

If you're referring to them initially talking about it, Sayaka notices their relationship and directly asks Miyako about it. Miyako sees no good reason to pretend and make excuses – Sayaka kinda knows anyway, after all. This chapter in which they talk about "stuff" happens later.
If you're referring to this scene in the final chapter, two years later, I think it's safe to assume that at least all people at the table are "in the know", and Miyako also knows about their relationships.

dammit zanka, always cutting at the best part lmfao
T//T

To be fair, we're edging ever closer to seeing the happy end they all deserve.
Keep edging, Zanka...

I guess the hands are tied up? https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/a_mistress_who_tempts_her_maid_ch07#5

Oooh, soft bondage, lovely...
Now if only the hand was drawn correctly... (since it seems that that is her right hand laid across her back, palm forward, her thumb would have to be sticking up, not down)

Also I absolutely love it when soft flesh gets compressed by underwear (moreso with lingerie), as is the case with the panties being slowly pulled down off her butt.

Finally a twist, double maid.

Yo dawg, we heard you like maids, so we maid the mistress a maid so we could have a maid do the maid.

Nice outfit at the end.

One might almost say It Really Does Suit Her.

I liked the touch of Yvonne, as an isekai and not a native, not realizing how expensive cinnamon and sugar would be.

(Or at least would be in a medieval European setting. I forget the 'time' of the game, but seems kind of later?)

I don't think that logic applies, seeing as we have magic for many things that would technologically only became commonplace in the latter half of the 19th C or even later (see the note from chapter 7 about running water, stoves and even fridges powered by magic). Unless, of course, Evie having those things is also extremely uncommon, which did not seem to be the case, otherwise Elsa probably would have noted that as well.

I hope she isnt too dense and realizes that SHE is the love interest.

That might still take a while, despite how obvious Elsa is being. After all, the notions of two girls going out seems to be foreign for her as well.

So when it says "... to commemorate Hikari guetting a passing grade", is that because she was guessing half the answer and thus got a passing grade? ;)

I'm quite impressed at how Miko's story turned out. I had not expected that "failed guardian spirit" twist, I'd totally pegged her as another ultimately malevolent creature. I'm looking forward to the dynamic between Miko, who kinda feels the urge to eat Hinako but mainly feels guilty and wants to protect her and for her to become happy again, and Shiori, who doesn't have a backstory of deceiving Hinako but rather one of being brutally honest about making her happy for her to become tasty. Shiori is delightfully sinister while Miko feels too goody-two-shoes and boring. I like high-octane drama.
Neither can really kill the other as long as Hinako cares about them both, but Hinako won't easily abandon either of them and while both of them want her to be happy, they don't want the other to be around once that happens.
It currently is a "no-win" scenario, I'm quite excited which way we will end up going.
