I can't believe it took me until chapter 6 to realize Hinoka thinks they're already dating.

Oh my god you're right, that's exactly what's going on isn't it?

Did I miss something that implied Hinoka thinks they’re dating? I read this as they were just two bestie gal pals pining for each other.

I believe it's about some of Hinoka's comments like "You're moving too fast!" and "I'm no ready yet for that!" that sound like the sort of thing a girl would tell to her lover who wants to reach second base too early.

Plz let it be her sister not a rival

I'm just happy that she wasn't fooled by her disguise at all.
After such a huge serving of originality, I'm willing to put up with a few clichés, no complaints.

So, MC, lemme get this straight (pardon my French): Amemiya is like the ultimate beauty on Earth, and a total ice queen, and she never looks at people or talks to anyone, but she went out of her way to talk to you and she was all smiley and friendly and stuff?

Time to buy a lottery ticket, girl, gonna be a lucky day.

Emotional rollercoaster, lol.

This chapter is just one thunderbolt after another for poor Scummy-chan.

I think some people take Pandacorya's manga too seriously. Pandacorya has a fetish for straight girls "falling" to lesbianism and it shows in pretty much all of their works, and in their 4-pages manga it's usually played for laughs.

Yes. And it's great.

I don't like cheating and prostitution, but Pandacorya's manga are just too funny for me that's why I scanlate them.

Thank you so much for your hard work!

A day with new Pandacorya is a great day indeed

Hehe, you can't imagine how giddy I get every time I find another of her stories has been translated.

Pandacorya is the best.

Your stories are intriguing, and thoughtful, for sure, and would probably be nice to read, but you really need to stop projecting.

I wonder, did the Kaimori in the original timeline help Nana too?

If the answer's yes, we can't say she did a great job. Mai doesn't even recall it...

If the answer's no, it would appear that it's Mai's presence that triggered the change and made her decide to take action.

But if she likes Nana that much and feels she and Aya would be great together, one wonders why she didn't do squat for her in the original timeline. It's not like she had no right to do it until an adult rival appeared!

It's kind of refreshing how all the adults in this manga willingly acknowledge that the rules about porn and sexy stuff (especially the age limits) are STUPID.

And at the same time they assert that we gotta uphold them, because that's society for you. No matter how hypocritical or contradictory it seems, you gotta go through the motions.

The author deserves praise for this extremely realistic portrayal of the Japanese way of thinking. Not positive, not negative, just realistic. And sometimes a tiny little bit cute, like that part where Tanaka put all the eromanga magazines in a box and told Seiko she could only open it in a month. That silliness was adorable. <3

Anyone knows if the original Chinese novel has been translated?
It doesn't have to be to English, I can handle French, Spanish and Portuguese if need be.
I'd really like to read it...

Usagi-chaaaaaaaaan...
You're my goddess, I love you so much!
And if the other senshi could hear how I just declared my love for Usagi, I guess they would all say: "Join the club!" Haha.

A love hotel mood. <3
Well tbh a lot of people rent karaoke rooms to do naughty things. With the door and curtains closed and the music at full blast you have complete privacy, and it's usually cheaper than a hotel room.

And in this way Subaru Sasazuka found that by constantly watching your shishou and studying her techniques eventually you gain powers similar to hers.

And a new ladykiller was born. (ง ͡ಠ ͜ʖ ͡ಠ)ง

Yeaaah! Soon Riku's boobs will be in her hands, huh huh huh.

If this story is what we judge by, Yukiko is someone who knows irl the queer and lesbian scene in Japan pretty well, likely a lesbian herself.
It makes me ponder how many yuri mangaka are like her. Like in Yurihime and such magazines, anybody knows if they ever revealed numbers of how many of their authors are queer or gay women, how many are str8 women who are fans of fictional yuri, and how many are men?

Once upon a time, practically all yuri was eromanga produced by male authors for male readers. Only a few stories of mostly platonic/sisterly yuri were made by female (usually heterosexual) authors and published in magazines for women.
Things started changing when manga publishers found that there was a huge market for seriously romantic/sexual yuri in the female readership. There was a yuri boom, with new magazines like YuriHime devoting themselves exclusively to yuri. I think it was at this time that many queer, lesbian and bi women became popular yuri authors. I can't tell for sure, but I suspect that many female yuri fans were more partial to yuri that was written by women who had real-life experience of the subject.
Right now, the yuri boom is still going on and most authors are women. There are prominent male authors (like KT) but they are the minority. A good number of the women who make yuri manga today definitely lean towards lgbtq orientations, but as for an exact percentage I don't know if anyone has ever calculated it.

So-o-o... if I'm getting this right, the main M/F romantic couple in Broken Snow will actually be played by two female actresses? And only one of these actresses has been decided, which means Yitong can still try for the other role? Is that how it goes?

Amusing that this is tagged as Flare x Marine, not Marine x Flare.
But perhaps the admins here don't care about these details as much as the Japanese fans do? :P

This is a different note than what you guys are talking about but

Who allowed a recipe like that to be published? Even with the same general concept and aiming for low calories, it can be way better with a few substitutions. Why would you ever use oats for something like this? If you want low calories, lentils will synergize with the flavors better AND have lower calorie count proportionate to nutritional value. And spinach? I assume it's being used purely for nutritional value since it doesn't fit the flavor profile at all, but you can still go with chard to get flavor that goes well with curry spices, and has more fiber as well. This would allow you to chicken instead of prawns if you're still aiming for 400 calories, and remove what I assume was the reason to add bouillon though honestly it's a ridiculous thing to do to a curry in any situation. Quite apart from the fact that cooking the spices and ingredients together allows the flavors to suffuse each other properly, what's the meaning of calling it a curry recipe then?

Speaking of ridiculous, this curry recipe lists curry roux as an ingredient? If it just tells you to add a pre-made curry, how is it a curry recipe? And if you used the butter from the roux directly, you could just cook the oats/lentils separately and cook the rest in the butter in a pan and combine later, to avoid drowning the veggies and meats and maybe even go for a slight char. I know when the Japanese think of curry they really mean stew, but a "dry curry" is still supposed to mean actual curry.

Also, using a blender instead of chopping ingredients is some depression cooking. If your mental health is in such a state that chopping ingredients is a hurdle you cannot pass, use a blender. Otherwise, only use a blender for things that should be blended, not things that should be chopped. Food processors exist for a reason, although as long as your knife is sharp you'll still get a better result chopping by hand.

You guys are right about the weight issue, I didn't even notice because she's drawn as kinda flabby but what she needs is clearly exercise, not diet. If she's looking flabby at that weight, she must have almost no muscle mass. That would also explain why her metabolism is so low that she feels like she gets fat while eating not that much, and feels the need to do excessive things like only eating salad or even going to a 1200Cal/day diet. As a side note, this kind of thing is apparently a pretty common problem in Japan and part of why they're so susceptible to minor illnesses like colds.

Honestly, this feels like the mangaka is just writing her own thoughts without any actual underlying knowledge. It's not a health manga, it's not really a yuri manga (maybe it will be but I wouldn't count on it) and as a food manga it leaves a lot to be desired. I will probably read at least a few chapters more because the characters are fun and interesting, and see where it goes from here, but if the recipes are like this I'm liable to have a conniption over every single one.

Excellent critique. I had many of the same thoughts myself, particularly about the oats being replaced with lentils (possibly because I am eating lentil tacos this week). If we get more chapters from this manga, I hope you will stick around and provide corrections for all the recipes. It would be a great help to many, I am sure.

I want to say I completely agree. This was an excellent post, eloquent, engaging and full of useful information. I am very interested in all things related to cooking, so I'm eagerly awaiting the coming chapters of this cute manga -- and I hope we'll get to see more of your opinions on the dieting methods and the recipes.

I think this, like most of sensei's work, was hilarious--"Operation Harass Mom: Failure."

I dare say Taiyaki must have loved this comic when she read it.

I know I did.

I remember my mother used to lend me clothes like scarves or gloves all the time when I was a kid. I never thought there was anything sexy about it, though.

I am obviously an uncultured oaf.
