Nora ehh, I am not convinced on the sumin as a darker version of dawoon part. Their appearances.... maybe kind of perhaps have some resemblances, but that's it. Personality wise, meh. I don't know how sungi would have mixed up the two.

yes they are.. the same way that Ms. Choi is a darker shade of Seju.
the reason I say that is not only because Sungji herself was the one to bring the comparison from Ch1 even (as we just explained above subtly)

Maybe now you believe me when I said, they were never ever been an "end game " couple or designed to be one.. Sungji's background was planned from the begining for her story to head in a certain direction that's justified by ch1.

Now, combine this with the hair color theory.. Grey and darker grey.. Sumin is a darker version of Dawoon

Seju and Sumin didnt attend the same high school. Their school uniform are different.

That's because there is no specific uniform for most S.Korean schools.. notice Nammi, she was not wearing a skirt as a uniform.. Sumin somtimes wears a biege skirt, somtimes blue.. also, from what Nammi told Sungji at the Squash court.. they all went to the same school

It's really more likely that the theory of Sumin being from a uppermiddle class(maybe even just middle class) family with some sort of political connection is correct.

Hehhe the reason I said upper mid-class is because Sumin's family seemed that they owned their house "not rented" AND they afforded sending Sumin to an academy as in ch2.. and at some point, her father was considering to buy her a car even if it was not a BMW XD.

In chapter 1, what was the first panel? Answer: The building of Hello Studio company. Thus, this represents Sungji?Sumin?The cougar boss Sumin and young subordinate Sungji? or simply Seju? It was Seju who was introduced first.

Once you understand this point that Foxy Lady explained.. you will also understand that Dawoon was also introduced in Ch1.

Chaebols were once the reason of South Korea's economic miracle.. hehe westerners hate to mention that Park Chung-hee, a dictator, was the the man who planned it all.. a real life benevolent dictator XD. Anyways, in any country, beyond a certain level of wealth, business and politics become inseparable.. think of Mercedes Benz to Germany and GM to United states or maybe Microsoft.. or even better, big banks effects on the U.S elections XD

politicians yell and brag about many issues: mainly
- unemployment rate
- GDP
- Taxes
- Inflation rate
all these issues are to be discussed with those who do affect the economy, chaebols or any big corporates.

As for when the Manhwa will end depends totally on the point in which team Gaji decided.. because the story is much bigger than a mere love triangle(s). Each character, including the supporting ones, does have enough and well designed background to pick something up from whatever point the Manhwa ends at.
All could have it all.. the dark, nasty and complicated unexpected with it

You know, Nora, this chapter's flashback is kinda 100% convincing me that Sumin and Seju are not from the same financial background.

you want more evidence, ch56 flashback.. AND ch2 flashback, the car talk. they are NOT from the same financial background.

Chaebols have a thing for looking down at people who are "lower" than them so I dont think Seju got to see her relatives from mother's side because of her brothers.

YES!.. Seju's mother and Sumin's parents are somewhat from the same class.. but if there is more into it.. a political connection of some sort!
remember, Baeks are chaebols, their power is not only in the money but politics as well.
Saehyun is around his fourty's (I don't have a source for this).. he was really young when Seju's mother died.. and he grew affection for her.. she seemed to be a very caring and loving person.

I think TG values all three of them not just as characters but as something dear to them so a sequel without one of them could be not what they wanted xD.

that's because Sungji deserves her own sequel too.. do you think the thing with Dawoon is over ?

Hello! I saw a discussion earlier regarding possibility of Sumin's parents being murdered...what makes you say that?

they are either alive somewhere or murdured.. the reason I say that is because I connect multiple cues together, let me list a few:

1. we agreed that the similarities in background between Seju and Sumin is in fact not financial.. so maybe the Sungs and the Baeks are not connected.. but Ahn (Seju's mother) and the Sung's are connected somehow.
2. Seju and Sumin were originally planned to go to the U.S shortly before Sumin's parents were sent by the CHAIRMAN personally to the states. Why would a busy man like him find the time and energy to personally send a couple by himself to a vecation to Malibu.. in which they coincidently die!
3. Do we know the circumestances of their death?.. actually their were no bodies.. just aches!
4. AGAIN, the president found the time to personally "return" their aches from the States!
5. Saehyun is the one resposnible of sending the girls to the states.. why? before (ch27) and now (ch44).. this plan seems to be so important that the father sees it as the only way he could face Ahn Chahee after death.
6. the father asks Seju to personally pick Saehyun up from the airport and drive him to the hospital personally without letting the others know about it. (I guess that Saehyun was in the States)
7. the assasin knows some information.. she knows that Sumin and Seju were not dating or anything the time she started following Seju ch66.. and you know that what Seju said in ch71 is not the trigger to the assualt in ch76.. Still, Sumin's live is endangered!
8. the father knows for sure the nature of Sumin and Seju's relationship.. but still, he insisted on sending them together to the States.. he even mentioned taking care of Sumin -even if she doesn't realise that yet. ch59. why does the father care about her so much and insists on sending her to the states.. what kind of care was that.. and why!

Bottom Line
The way I see it, Seju's father for some reason planned to send the parents to the States upon the girls graduation, fake Sumin's parents death then later reunite the Sungs together by sending the girls to the States. The plan fell apart by the breakup.. but then the father insisted on working it out this time before he dies in ch44.

either her parents were killed or "faked their death" for political reasons.

Also..lazy sundays are the best lol

For me, building Sungji and Sumin was necessary. . This is how it should be, Sungji's vital move and importance is yet to be shown.
Explaning Sumin X Seju was never out of the picture.. the past always justifies the future throughout the present.. Sungji is the present that will help justify Sumin and Seju's ending.

So, marketing a couple was not the intention.. it is rather a fluid way of telling a story and justifying it

I have a guess.. but I couldn't be sure. Even the idea of sending both girls to the States as well (10 years ago and now) are related. Seju's father really didn't have time to argue or convince them.
