Yeah I'm with you on this one. Even if she technically didn't lie, it's still lying by omission.

I still enjoy the series, but I didn't like the lack of consent in this chapter. Just because Asumi ended up enjoying the photoshoot doesn't make it not shady.

And yeah yeah fiction is fiction, and I myself do read all the hard-core and morally wrong stuff all the time, but I think I just don't like how they're portraying it as something that is okay to do and that it's no biggie. The first two chapters were really wholesome, consensual experiences so ch 3 just came out of left field for me.

So curious as to what Miko's role is. I think she is probably an exorcist because of that close up on the prayer beads and also because her name is quite literally "Miko".

I feel like Shiori was probably the one who saved Hinako during the accident. Seems like a boat they were on exploded? Unsure if Shirori is telling the truth about wanting to eat Hinako at her happiest because she'll taste better or if it's because she just wants Hinako to be happy again.

If Shiori is telling the truth about wanting to eat Hinako and she met Hinako as a child, maybe she was going to eat Hinako then. Hinako must have been at her happiest at that festival so she could have attracted a lot of monsters that day. But then the accident happened, ruining Hinako's "flavor" and Shirori has been haunted by her lost opportunity to have a tasty snack all these years lol.

Ch 3 felt a lil too skeevy for me. Boss taking advantage of her worker and then lying to MC about no one else getting access to the photos...bleh. The vibe was just so different from the first two chapters so it threw me off.

the way this mangaka builds the intensity of the physical scenes is really impressive. i find myself reading faster and faster as the scene goes on.

The pacing of the physical scenes are perfect. I always feel my heart rate increasing reading them. The tension in those scenes are even steamier than the ones in a lot of actual hentai hahahah

Ruby's civilian form is probably a super popular classmate who secretly adored Azusa's cringey high school intro

Also I adore Azusa and her mascot's relationship. It's super cute and so much fun

Stopped reading for a while because I couldn't stand Liz. Glad to see she just got even worse. After having no more expectations for this Manga to actually become good and realizing this at its core is just everything that Kitta Izumi would love to have in her dream Manga, I can now just enjoy it for the train wreck it is.

This is really fun! I always love it when there's a meta twist to the magical girl formula. I hope we can see Ruby's civilian form too haha

I think the previous version of the translation made more sense...
Pg 00109 “Matsuri, are you saying that because you’re worried about me”

This line is NOT SPOKEN BY HARUMIN! It’s spoken from Matsuri to Harumin. Seriously the translators aren’t new are they? They should have understood the speech patterns of each of the characters and gotten them down pat by now... Harumin refers to herself as ‘Atashi (あたし)’ Matsuri refers to herself as ‘Watashi (私)’ The line here in Japanese is ‘それは私を心配しての言葉なのか’ this is a Matsuri line. This bubble the next bubble and the following conjoined bubbles are spoken as as one line.

“Are you saying that because you’re worried about me?
or is this another one of your selfish ‘defensive instincts’?
By concerning yourself with the matters of everyone around you
Are you that desperate to be loved?”

Pg 00101 “I understand that Yuzu Chan is so worried to the point that she might come busting through my door at any moment”

Last page: “Is you choosing not to tell anyone your principle as a ‘Stealth Gyaru’?”

To be honest there’s a few more minor ones in between, especially the bridge scene which I mentioned earlier cuz everyone who’s translating it translates it as though Harumin is reprimanding Matsuri “go on loving ‘that part of yourself’” when it’s actually Harumin telling Matsuri that she needs to learn to love that part of herself that she’s hiding away so desperately to make sure no one sees through her facade.

Thanks your translation makes the scene make a lot more sense to me now. Even not knowing Japanese, that line “Matsuri, are you saying that because you’re worried about me” REALLY threw me off because it totally didn't make sense with the flow of dialogue. The motives behind their actions is a lot clearer now.

I'm happy we finally got HaruMatsu Canon (I've been looking forward to it since the first series because their Cat and Mouse dynamic is fun), but not sure how I feel about the kiss. On one hand I felt it was totally in character for it to be random like that from Matsuri, but on the other hand I still don't really get why she did it or got the urge to? Like I assumed it's because she was touched Harumin was worried and cared enough to check up on her, but even with the new translation, this chapter's dialouge was all over the place or too vague for me to understand what exactly was going on.

Also would've wished for more of a reaction from Harumin, but we already knew very few things Matsuri does actually phase her since she figures it's Matsuri acting up again.

I hope the later chapters will be able to clear things up their motives a little more, but I felt a bit disappointed with how it played out between the two.

Wow really refreshing take using the gender bender concept. I really liked how the message wasn't really about whether or not Maki would love Nico as a man or a woman, but about how changing Nico's sex affected an important part of her life because of society's rules for men and women. I enjoyed it!

I feel bad for everyone except Yoru. Why did she even sleep with Sei if she knows how obsessed she is with her? To only go back to her unfaithful husband.

I think if Aya didn't show up, Yoru might've begun to pursue something with Sei. As disturbed Yoru is by Sei's obsession with her, I do think she takes comfort in knowing there's always someone who wants her (that in at least one person's eyes she is their number 1) because all the guys she falls in love with always end up cheating on her.

I think it was very common for Yoru to go running to Sei as a rebound in the past so it's what she's doing here. There's a reason why Sei hasn't been able to let go all these years...I think on some level Sei knows that Yoru still cares for her (or that Yoru is also unhealthily dependant on her as well) so she keeps holding onto the hope that Yoru will come back to her.

Edit: ok yeah rereading the last 2 chapters that is basically what is being implied. Yoru straight up asks Sei what Sei would do if she were to break up with her husband (implying she might be interested in a relationship) and the scene before they graduate with Sei saying she'll always be waiting for Yoru no matter what so Yoru knows she'll always have someone to fall back on when she's hurt.

But if the series is ending soon and Yoru really won't be showing up again, by not giving Aya her contact info, she's finally breaking them out of this toxic cycle (that Sei straight up ranted about in the previous chapter)
