The ending was so unexpected for when I saw the update. It fr felt outta nowhere. I read it, and although it sucks that Akira got cast to the side (really REALLY sucks) I found that I’m not upset with the ending.

Honestly, like someone said, there’s not really a lot of things the mangaka can do here that wouldn’t feel kinda repetitive.

I’m disappointed that the extras are just focusing on Komachi and Satsuki, especially when Komachi’s character isnt as developed as Akira’s is, so not having Akira in the ending + actually talking feels like a crime or smthn. It feels illegal.

That was nice, but I've never been a big fan when the touching is once sided. But it was nice nonetheless.

I’m glad I’m not the only person put off by the fact she still had clothes on. One sidedness is one thing; this is their first time doing it together, so it’s a tad understandable, but her being fully clothed while the others girl is butt naked? Kinda weird.

I feel like Subtext would be a more appropriate tag since there’s nothing really explicitly romantic about their interactions

Not only is that said durin an interview so she most likely is exaggerating/playing it up for the camera, but she said that when referring to the girl as a middle schooler, and while I may not know her age other than that she’s older, saying that about a kid with romantic intentions is weird and personally, I don’t get romantic vibes with how it’s presented.

“I wanna take care of her” plays off as more of an “older sis caring her her younger sis” type of vibe instead of a lover,

And that whole scene played off as like a bit (most likely for the TV) and since it’s being recorded it doesn’t feel super genuine.

That’s not an inherently romantic thing to say; she spent part of the one shot talking bout the cons of being an idol, and how toxic the fans are; it’d make sense from a purely platonic POV that someone who's been your “guardian” (and inspiration) your whole idol career would be the only person who you’d wanna sing to after all the toxicity.

Like, I totally get how it can be interpreted as romantic, but since it’s not explicit, there’s room for doubt about it being yuri, which is why Subtext is more fitting than Yuri to me.

The whole “I raised that girl” thing was leaned in too much which really destroyed the yuri feels for me. An actual confession would’ve been nice, or a kiss.

That’s exactly why I’m not confident in saying this is yuri, even if the author makes yuri and it’s (supposedly) officially tagged as yuri; there’s no explicit confession, no kiss scene, nothing making their relationship crystal clear.

For me, if there’s any room for doubt to the girls being romantically involved, I can’t see it as yuri.

A kiss or gazing into each other’s eyes when they bonked heads would’ve made me think “yeah that’s gay” but with how it is rn, feels more like an older sis/colleague caring about younger sis/colleague.

It’s still cute regardless tho don’t get me wrong.

I could see Nadeshiko picking up on that implication and intervening on Jun's behalf, wanting her to get to be happy as well with all three of them. Her saying she doesn't want to share earlier has basically been her most human moment so far, and evolving on that and demonstrating clearly that she values someone isn't her mother or owner would actually be a really good conclusion to her arc as a character.

So are you saying she should offer a poly relationship cuz that’s a horrible idea.

Neither of them are interested in Jun, so it’d freaking suck if they had her join outta pity.
Nadeshiko literally can’t do anything to make Jun happy cuz she doesn’t love her.
Jun’s happy ending will be one where she moves on from Akane or finds another girl.

Akane just needs to turn Jun down, no sugar coating, just be direct, so Jun can mourn over the rejection and move on, knowing that there’s no chance for her feelings to be reciprocated.

Nadeshiko said she didn’t wanna share, her going against that would be wild and would basically make her character development pointless. The whole point of her not wanting to share was because the “selfishness” was a human quality, no human, would agree to share their lover with another person to “show that they care for them”

Poly route isn’t gonna happen and if it does, then i doubt it’ll go well for them and if it does, it’ll feel unnatural since neither nadeshiko nor Akane have shown interest in jun, and Jun hasn’t shown interest in nadeshiko.

Really hope this ends with them finding a way to remove whatever is killing people around Komachi. The story seems to be about fighting against fate. I'm going to be really annoyed if the story comes to the conclusion "No, Satsuki needs to just let people die cause fighting fate is bad."
