Yeah, Yuni and Nanase have several wide-shot scenes where you can see the stars in the night sky over the roofs of the festival stands. And Fuuko is at a private cram school, they show us the facade of the building and you can see the school name painted on the windows.

On another subject: I'm always impressed by the extraordinary quality of the art in this author's manga. It's not just the all-around solidity and attention to detail; the use of field sizes, angles and transitions to visually express ideas and capture emotionally-charged moments is totally awesome. I especially loved certain close-ups from Yuni's pov: there aren't many artists who can get right such a difficult perspective.

On yet another subject: Yuni is never going to learn that she gotta stop livetweeting her secrets for the whole world to know, is she?

Another winner by the author of Kimi wa Shoujo! I totally loved that manga (and iirc I was the only person in the whole forum who loved it, lol). And I can already see many points in common between the two mcs in this story and Kousaka & Maki. I'm so gonna enjoy reading this!

I'm not sure I understand your question. This is Japanese manga, with Japanese characters, and kimono is the traditional Japanese attire, so why wouldn't a Japanese woman wear one?
Today, in the big cities, most Japanese dress in western fashion... but in rural areas women who favor the traditional look are not uncommon.

This is when Liz realizes she has made yet again a horrible mistake. She chose the woman who had already dumped her in the past over Maki, and now that woman is going to dump her again.

And Liz will have to deal with the consequences of her bad choices. Ideally she'd go back to Maki crawling on her belly and begging for another chance (to which Maki would have to ponder whether to say yes or no) but... I think it's most likely that she'll return to Maki in a fit of anger and tears, bitching and whining and demanding to be comforted, and Maki will hug her, pat her on the head and say: "There, there, poor Liz, poor baby, you've suffered a lot."

Hehe, I'm guessing it's just another "scummy" side of the mc.
Since the beginning, the author has tried very hard to make a point that this heroine has many flaws; and has been especially insistent in showing that she's super lazy!
Making her a slugabed simply reinforces the point.

I don't really care about realistic age-body proportions, but I will say that if the mangaka wished to be more realistic they could have made the adult woman significantly shorter than 148cm and the child about 140cm rather than 170cm, which I believe is very tall even for an adult Japanese woman.
