Ignoring the tagging situation from earlier, I do think this would've been received better if it hadn't escalated so quickly. It's a lot to cram into a oneshot and it's not made clear the MC is into it until the very end so I can see why people felt blindsided by the content. I kind of already associated exhibitionism & blackmail with humiliation since they tend to go together but maybe there should be a separate humiliation tag if people feel that strongly about it.

Humiliation can be a fetish, and it can also be a point of extreme discomfort. So a tag would probably be a good idea, as it would help people that enjoy it as a fetish find works with humiliation, and it would help anyone that's made uncomfortable by it avoid those works.

@Classy-Nessi Yeah, info about her and the name, From what I remember her family is poor and owns a either defunct or barely operating amusement park, and the water they use to cook hotdogs gets re-used to bathe with. So she always smells like hotdogs due to bathing with hotdog water, and so people started calling her that. It's not actually her real name. It's been a minute so I apologize if I'm misremembering any details, but yeah it's...fucked up...

@My_Goldfish_Held_Hostage, I think Coco was made largely to express Velma's interest in women, and Velma's interest in Coco was I think a big talking point of the creators of the movie. If I remember correctly anyhow. I just...wish the movie did more with the relationship of Coco and Velma. For how talked about Velma's interest in Coco was I unfortunately wasn't satisfied. Though at least fan-artists did heavy lifting with them. I hope we see Coco again one day, especially since Coco has a great design.

Also as for the Mystery Inc series there's interesting elements about it, but for me it was too depressing. As it's basically a H.P. Lovecraft story with Scooby Doo characters. I know a lot of people really enjoyed the series, and say more power to anyone that does. For myself I prefer when the IP is just some casual comfort food haha

So (after voting) I looked through every other category to see if there was any other yuri comics I could support, and couldn't find a single one. Meanwhile there's like a bajillion BL comics, even outside of the explicit category of BL. I know this is just one site/publisher, but is this really representative of the JP manga market as a whole? : /

From what I know Yaoi is generally a lot bigger than Yuri

The BL market is still not infinity times as big as the yuri market. That ratio can't be more than an order of magnitude in the all-ages section, so there should have been at least one or two more yuri (or at least non-het and female-centric) titles in the lineup. But regardless of the relative sizes of the markets, 1 (one) yuri title (and one horror title with a female protagonist) against 58 all-ages het and/or male-led titles (incl. at least 2 BL titles in the "for men" tab!), plus 20 adult het and 20 adult BL titles, is something I find more insulting than not including any yuri works in the lineup at all.

The categories reflect the sections of the CMOA store, but that is not an excuse for this (in fact maybe the rigid and outdated store sections are part of the issue). It's not just yuri that gets completely shat on in this lineup, but basically all stories that aren't either extremely het/misogynistic slop or BL. Of course it's basically just an ad campaign (calling it an award is a bad joke) so it shouldn't be too surprising that artistic quality is not a consideration.

I think this is another case where you're a lot more bitter than I am. I'm just saying that the Yaoi scene is usually far bigger than the Yuri scene, that's all lol
