I've been looking into bamboos and tigers and found this little gem.

Take ni tora – Bamboo and Tiger – 竹に寅
W. R. van Gulik tells us “In Japan the tiger portrayed among bamboostalks in the wind is known as take ni tora, ‘tiger in bamboo’. This representation is generally taken to symbolize that even most powerful of terrestrial forces, namely the king of all animals, had to yield to the forces of nature.(...)

In 1889 a book on Japanese art by Huish said that the tiger “…is very often depicted in a storm cowering beneath bamboos, signifying the insignificant power of the mightiest of beasts as compared to that of the elements. When merely seen in connection with bamboos, it is so because its power is such that it can transverse a thousand miles at a stride, even through a bamboo forest.”

Merrily Baird on “A tiger sheltering in bamboo. The tiger is said to be the only animal capable of penetrating bamboo thickets, and the pairing of the two is said to represent the weak giving shelter to the strong.”

Just curious: Satake and Torashima has been referred to as The Bamboo and the Tiger. Torashime is easy (tora = tiger) but how does Satake's name equate to bamboo?

I was pleasantly surprised by that one.

I thought that one was hilarious. "My own daughter." And like everytime her daughter got close she freaked out "She's gonna have her way with me!! Ahhhhhh"

Yes, at least I think so. At the end, Chiharu and Izumi are implied to be dating with the recently released 10.5.

Can i know what chapters use this pairing?

Volume 2 focuses on Chiharu. First with Maya and Ai, then with Izumi.

Want there also an angsty one where like motorbikes were the girls hobby or something? Or was that just a subtext anime? Ack, my brain! Lol ^_^

So I checked it out and it IS Izumi and Chiharu! Thank you so much lenne18 !

No problem. The only reason I remember is because of the update (Thanks MiamMiam-Team!), and Izumi's notable character trait (and that is, riding the bike to school, since walking slowly is preferred in yuri).

Nah, it's just a girl who loved Maya and that she couldn't love back − which repeated with Chiharu. I'm still not quite sure whether Maya reciprocated Chiharu's feelings for her… this chap is a bit ambiguous on that…
