^Touko:
1. Can't move since Yuu's straddling her
2. Is getting undressed by Yuu
3. Has to look up at Yuu
Sounds pretty bottom to me

Or maybe top and bottom are too narrow as categories. Who knows

^Yeah, definitely. But I wouldn't say "So much", rather it's just the right amount (especially since, at least in my opinion, the play, 40, and 45 should all have their individual episodes instead of being divided up)

^they have less manga to cover than they covered in Season 1. 25 (iirc) in that which leaves just 20 chapters left.

I wish that Yamada would've been the one to say that shit to Kase instead of the prince, but this was still nice... now just hoping that we won't get yet another jealousy arc

Anyone watched "Made in Abyss - Dawn of the Deep Soul"? Well done and some subtext but no real yuri; the 3 MCs seem to be moving towards a 2-girl-1-boy poly relationship.

I have yet to watch "Princess Principal - Crown Handler 01" ... but I prolly shouldn't set my hopes too high...

Crown Handler was amazing, but it was an Ange solo story so not that much yuri. Still there, but not much

Well done.

(,)

Pervert.

(wait. why does the comma even have brackets?)

I believe it's because the titles has different meanings with and without it.
"Well Done, Pervert" is saying "well done" as in "good job" to the pervert. "Well Done Pervert" is using the term "well done" to describe said pervert. "Well done" being a reference to a way to prepare certain foods is, I think, a reference to the term "cooked" which can mean to be in a dangerous or otherwise bad situation.

but doesn't へんたいよくできました only translate to "Well Done, Pervert" and not "Well Done Pervert"

If it was a series, it would be a yuri harem comedy with oneesan as the axle and everyone else wanting to make her their pet.

I'd read that

......I really want to read that

God, I really hope a poly happens between Sayo, Rinna and Mei. I mean come on, we had a chapter where Mei meets her teachers, then proceeds to ask them about being in a relationship with more than 1 person, then on top of that Rinna seems to be falling for Sayo while still having feelings for Mei.

Hasn't the whole Rinna x Sayo thing been dropped? Like the author teased it but since then has gone more of the love triangle/harem approach?

It might be dropped, but not necessarily. If I were to write this I would plant the idea of Rinna x Sayo early on (like in the tease) and then spend time exploring both Rinna and Sayo as characters as well as their feelings for Mei and only then showing them falling for each other.

I can't confirm it's gonna go that way, but it is how I would do it and this definitely could go that way. I certainly am hopeful

But that's the thing the story is taking the time to talk about their feelings of Mei, not their feelings for each other. Take everything we've seen with Rinna and how genuine she seems about loving Mei. Wouldn't it feel ooc of her to suddenly say "I think I love Sayo too now"? Yeah if done well it could work but then you run into an issue with Mei. Mei isn't in love with anyone and believes she can't love someone, though she wants to. Imagine if her two friends ended up loving each other. Wouldn't she instead spend her time getting them together rather than wanting all 3 of them together? I feel like them falling in love with each other would hurt the story of Mei finding her true love. To me I don't get why people want a poly relationship considering right now Mei doesn't want to date anyone and when she does I feel like that person has to be special. For example would Bloom Into You have the same impact if it had a poly ending?

I'd like to point out:

spend time exploring both Rinna and Sayo as characters as well as their feelings for Mei and only then showing them falling for each other.

What I mean is that while the possibility of poly should be planted at the start (which the teacher as well as the accidental kiss did), any feelings that Rinna and Sayo might develop for each other should only be shown after the series properly talks about the individual characters as well as Rinna's and Sayo's feelings for Mei.

Either way, whatever happens determines whether poly would be satisfying or not. At this point it's way too early to say one way or the other. All I can say is that I'd prefer poly (because a. there's way too few poly yuri manga and 2. I think that Mei learning to love trough an unconventional relationship would be really interesting), but wouldn't mind mono either.

yup, disinterest in this volume continues... and we all already know how this arc is going to end, it's so cliché.

Hima will obviously find some way to get them to make up and be friends again. Probably end with the "oh I'll become pro before you but we're friends again" rivalry type thing. The expected pointless drama will happen during that of course (probably Shiho being in love with Yori), but this is just the whole trope of "everyone is friends", since not being friends is an unheard of concept

this is the rare type of manga where the main couple are actually together long before the ending, so why is there no focus on their relationship or development of them as a couple? why are chapters being wasted on this uninteresting side character? :/

I would guess that so many chapters are "wasted" on her because she's been a lingering plot thread since the beginning. The only reason Hima even heard Yori sing at the concert in chapter 1 is because Shiho quit the band. Now it's explaining why by delving deeper into the side characters and the band which also as a bonus allows Hima and Yori to grow without their development being strictly tied to each other.

Not that you're wrong for disliking it, you came for romance but the series is taking time away from that to focus on other things. I personally really like this volume (as well as Shiho, she's one of my favourite characters atm) but it certainly isn't what I'd expect from a romance series with the name "Whispering You a Love Song"

This, of course, is a lie. It is true that I do regularly mock people who see Mei's character as being consistent and well-developed, however.

So you mock people who are correct? Why?

You may read my previous arguments in the thread about why I disagree with those people who think that the forceful, competent, indeed volatile character we first met in the original series is consistent with the current withdrawn, passive, trembly character who communicates best through her toy bearsy-wearzy.

I shall not because Mei was never a "forceful, competent, indeed volatile character"
(competent I'll give you, but only in tasks she was told to do. Not with her own feelings nor with the feelings of others)

Headcanon is a hell of a drug.

I call it paying attention but sure

a character having an epiphany in the form of a sudden post-facto realization that her teenage stepsister-lover just might be disappointed that her birthday celebration is being postponed may strike some readers as the height of a newly-developed emotional sensitivity, while others, like me, could regard it as something a normal person might already know by, like, being alive in the world.

I certainly wouldn't be able to figure it out. Empathy, social norms, etc don't come naturally to everyone.
Perhaps Mei isn't what you'd call a "normal person" and that's okay. I certainly find her much more interesting like this than I would if she was "normal"

"Ray" would've been much much better (also it would match with Mei's localised name so 2 points)

Isn't "Ray" usually a male name, though? Not sure how much better that would be...

Technically yes, but also any name can be gender neutral so who cares. What matters is that it looks better than "Rae"

Rae doesn't look that bad. It actually sounds kinda European.

Pretty sure it's Middle Eastern in origin. Either way, I hate it so much I decided to not buy the official English Novel (and everyone knows my subjective opinions are facts /j)

Ah Japanese...I cant read noodles XD So I am very grateful for SSE for official translations of Yuri. And the link seems to not work on my side :(

Her Fanbox is hyper translated and every post has an english version lower down. Also it has official bonus chapters you'd only see there. Although the Seven Seas LN translations also have their own set of exclusive extra chapters, so some people support via all routes.

I bought the first vol from SSE and then I saw some people comments in here that they removed some paragraphs about Rae's character depth... Makes me want to try Inori's fanbox instead. Does fanbox and SSE have any difference in terms of translation?

The fanbox didn't do as much localisation (like, for example, they spell Rei's name correctly instead of the abomination that is "Rae" /hj). Or at least they didn't last time I checked it, might've changed since then

I think calling it abomination was a bit too much. In SSE ver, Rei is her name in her old world then she became Rae in Revolution world. I think the change of spelling means she wasn't meant to be Japanese anymore. Not sure, just my own assumption.

I was certainly exaggerating but also seeing the word "Rae" does physically hurt me. It just looks so fucking ugly (also my brain just can't see it as "rei" so I'm constantly mispronouncing her name).
"Ray" would've been much much better (also it would match with Mei's localised name so 2 points)

And the change in spelling was in the original as well. Oohashi's name is in kanji while Taylor's is in katakana. I just happen to despise the spelling they ended up going with
