Now I could be wrong, But I think @Faust is a girl.

What makes you think that? (not denying or confirming, just wondering)

Well there was that one time you linked your blog in which you admitted to "fangirling." I'm not positive though

Can't wait to see Truck-san animated

You can't be serious.

Well in any case the Suzuka anime was actually good and to high school me, a pretty relatable take on the male side of a romantic relationship

Reread last two chapters and I still don't understand why Chiharu left. I know she said she would, but why did they tacitly decline to discuss why?

my sister believes this and hates pornography to the point where she dumps guys who watch it

Oh shit. But, don't a lot of guys/people watch porn? Aren't they fucked?

Not unless they're fool enough to turn it on while she's in the room. Which unfortunately her current/ex(it's complicated) boyfriend did. All the time

Girlfriends was the first yuri manga I read, and a few years later I still think that not only is it the best, it is possibly the only romance story that I ever fully bought into. That slow buildup, putting on makeup and trying on clothes together, just earnestly having fun together, it felt so wonderful and believable. So many stories where I don't understand why the two partners even like each other, or I find them and their declarations of love annoying and pretentious (99.9 percent of het romance stories I've seen tbh) and I finally find one that resonates with me and makes me think "That's so nice. I'd like to have something like that too" That's why Girlfriends is my personal favorite manga of all time. It may use cliches, but it maximizes their effectiveness.

And I really hope UlquiorraSchiffer1 isn't serious that's just crazy, but on the subject of the "Men think more lewd thoughts" idea, my sister believes this and hates pornography to the point where she dumps guys who watch it

I have to be honest and say before the last episode, I was finding Izetta to be a not that great, kind of poorly written show I was watching mostly for the yuri (bait?). But there were were some moments here that really got to me. When that strange woman kissed her and her mouth started bleeding I was pretty angry, but when the two spies took a vial of her blood and started taking photos of the leyline map, I felt disgusted with fear for Izetta's life. I'm not convinced as to whether the story is actually planned out long term or not, but it has effectively built up tension and instilled fear that the protagonists might fail, something Dragon Ball for example, once had but lost

Don't know if this was the intention but Reimu looked absolutely miserable during the sex scene, kind of gut wrenching

Cripes people, can we not with the spoilers?

I was unaware that an obscure pop culture reference explanation that revealed nothing about the plot was a spoiler. I do however apologize for not being cognizant of how recently the episode was released

The bit about the black hole leading to hell in Flip Flappers ep 7 was a reference to the movie Event Horizon, where a spaceship designed to fly at warp speed instead came to and fro roman cathlolic hell complete with bloody orgies between the crew members

@Swifft These are all good points, it's been a while since I read the manga so my perception of the father was extremely skewed, I low key confused him with the dad from Clannad. I will say that I think it is possible and optimal to respect your children, though by that I mean "consider what they say if their concern is legitimate" not "aquiese to their every whim." On the subject of chores and brattiness, much as we'd like to, we can only control a person's behavior so far. I always did what my parents asked because I wanted to, while my brother stubbornly refused to do household chores at all, and still grew up to be a responsible and kind adult. Just a lot of variability in response to parenting

Not sure about that. And I don't mean "I'm not sure it's not okay to hit your child in the FACE" (as happened in this series), but spanking? Eh. Myself and my sisters turned out fine after it. Anecdotal, sure, but I don't have much else.

That said the dad regretted hitting her immediately, obviously was like "oh shit, I shouldn't have done that", and his daughter actually overplayed the injury. He's not the sort to use that kind of punishment, and it was probably a rookie parenting mistake.

I will withhold my opinion on spanking because I don't think this is the place for it. I know there are implications that the father in this story has been a victim of circumstance, but I really have to question why his go to parenting style is to be consistently negative and irritable towards his child, and that he would even be tempted to strike his daughter in the face. I know parenting style is a highly individual thing, but at what point do we start holding someone accountable for their mistakes? Does having a busy and demanding life excuse you from your obligation to treat others respectfully? (These aren't rhetorical questions, I really do wonder about these things)

Some people may hate me for this but I'll say it anyway. No good reason to ever hit your child. I don't care what your situation is. There is no correlation between beating and long term child success, and all the parent is achieving is making their own kid more likely to emulate their parenting style when they are an adult

I saw this on another site before it made its way to Dynasty, and I was having the same problem. It appears to be more of a stylistic choice that makes it really... difficult... to understand. Very strange choice, from my perspective, to substitute thought bubbles for speech bubbles on the MC.

It's not just that though. There's an incoherent feel to the dialogue. All of the characters seem to use an odd syntax and respond oddly to each other

Having a bit of a hard time understanding what the characters are talking about, translation is grammatically correct but a little strange. Is Sasuke able to read MC's mind? And is this really subtext because the characters were blushing A LOT

Oh, and I think Finé and Izetta had sex or something... I'm not sure.

Much as I'd like to think they did, I didn't exactly get that impression from this week's episode. Actually now that you mention it, if I actually evaluated their interactions under normal circumstances I would think they did, but in yuri bait anime any plausible deniability is enough to indicate otherwise

Nico is actually pretty horrible in here.

To be fair, "exemplary & winning personality" was never her thing.
Got rather more than she bargained for tho... :d

I think her personality is fun and entertaining, just not quite conforming to Japanese social norms. And while she may have been thinking some mean/ridiculous thoughts (business yuri), it's clear she sincerely likes Maki
