Now we're suddenly face to face with a (possible) antagonist?

This really is going a bit too far. She's not "sitting them on a table to force them to talk", she simply tried to create a situation where they would meet and have the chance to talk. It backfired, of course, but in most circumstances it would not have been such a bad idea.

Based on the sign, probably Nekozaki's sister; definitely someone related to her, though. And also the person Fujishiro was talking to here. Which also explains why she corrected the investigation subject's name from Nekozaki to Ren, since she was talking to a Nekozaki as well.
