I don't get why you don't just rename the whole tag Butch and be done with it. I really don't see the point in differentiating it. Tomboy in general is kind of derogatory imo, it implies their masculinity is just a childish trait they'll grow out of. It's also not a word I think I've ever seen used on someone over the age of like, 13? So it feels very immature to me. Just say butch, it's so much easier.

However it may feel to you, there can be a significant difference between women who present as “butch” and those who present as “tomboys.” And I’ve commonly seen “tomboy” applied to grown women, often by themselves.

A “butch” tag would be especially inappropriate for the quite common yuri trope of the girl who physically is boyish (often dressing as a “prince” type) but who secretly is attracted to cute things or to girly fashion.

Yeah I don't think tomboy = butch. I also don't think tomboy is an inherently derogatory term, as I've heard it used positively by a variety of ages as well.

Based on the references I see around here, I feel like most of us are past our "prime" days. Doesn't feel like there's a lot of young blood in the forums.

I do wonder how the younger sister is physically moving stuff through the portal. Tossing things to her sister? Putting the stuff on something with wheels and rolling it over? Or maybe just sliding things across the floor?
Maybe the portal only blocks things from coming back after they've completely crossed the threshold, so she's able to hand things to her sister? If so, maybe she can also lean across and give her sister a hug when she's feeling lonely...and now I'm sad.

I think there's some younger people on here, some of the newer users, maybe anyhow. The average age probably skews older though, I believe in part because this is a forum and forums are sadly generally a relic of older internet. I don't mean that negatively, only that forums aren't nearly as booming anymore lol

I'd imagine it would have a pull for anything touching it, sucking it entirely to one side. This is mostly to avoid nasty thoughts about that partially through hug ending in gory tragedy.

Yeah Shiny Colors is a gacha game, though the funny thing is that from what I know neither of these characters have any outfit as suggestive as this in game. A lot of outfits in IMAS are not sexual at all. Usually at most there's a swimsuit outfit that's pretty reserved, and I don't inherently view swimsuits as sexual.

There's a variety when it comes to gacha games and not all of them are fan-service focused. Comparing say two Korean gacha games, there's a world of difference between Limbus Company and Nikke lol

Yeah I generally understood the story, but it's presented in a confusing way I think. Which I really wonder if that's due to translation or the dialogue of the original work, or even a combination of the two. Where I understand the general idea behind the story and characters, but the dialogue isn't really helping me get to those conclusions. I'm mostly piecing it together with what feels like fragments of information.

I want to say as well that this one-shot has it's charms, and I've love to see the relationship progressed further.

Shoujo Ai as a term got phased out due to being a Western used term that wasn't used correctly from what I remember. As the actual meaning is along the lines of Little Girl Love, and that wording has unfortunate implications. Just as a friendly heads up. Also Yuri can be used with any kind of lesbian relationship as a general umbrella term, so it works here in theory. Though the subtext tag might work better for this story, which might be along lines of what you're thinking.
