@Bugpope Ah right. I don't know enough about blindness, but would a blind person's eyes move towards the location a sound is coming from? Even if they're not seeing anything. Lucifer opening the door and being surprised would direct Justice's attention in that direction. If that's not the case, maybe it's simply something the artist thought worked like that. Either way it's not the end of the world imo.

@Bugpope Lucifer walked in on them and they're looking at her. That's why Lucifer is in the little bubble in the top left, and it's why she looks so surprised. Honestly she should should join in on the fun.

Here's hoping this scuffle brings Tadokoro back to the light side (so to speak) in drawing hardboiled manga.

I realized when reading the newest chapter that this is likely the EXACT reason for this whole set up. She's going to see her girlfriend act like a badass, get inspired and make a new hard boiled manga. Her new series will be a hit, and it'll prove the stupid editor wrong. I'm 100% calling it, this event isn't just a "random occurrence" like some are claiming. It's entirely set up for manga inspiration. Still I hate the attempted rape, and I wish the author could have found another method for hard boiled inspiration.

@juanelric I think Aoki's art is great, but I also love Ningiyau's art style for the manga, so I'd definitely recommend the series if you like comedies and if you haven't read it already.

While I'm enjoying this very much, remember to take your well deserved breaks, the amount you've released in such short amount of time is pretty incredible!

Thank you. Some chapters need a lot of redrawing, others almost none, but I think within a volume one chapter a day is very manageable. There might be pauses between the volumes though.

Thank you for all your hard work, this series is very cute and hilarious!

^^^ Well I think she was in charge because she was trying to do something good, and make progress towards the goal of finding the cure to the infection/illness correct? Or am I wrong? I don't think Silence realized just what the end goals of her company were. Also I don't think it's creepy so much? When Silence takes responsibility and feels bad for what happened to Ifrit, and is trying her best to help her. Similar to Saria also having guilt in that regard. I don't think it would be better for them to run away from Ifrit, when they have tools and knowledge to help her, especially when they're responsible in some way.

Yeah I think "myrrhmidon" is just saying that the core Rhine Lab characters in game working for Rhode Island are lovable. Which as "Shira" is saying these characters aren't the higher-ups that made a mess of things. Personally I think this ship is fantastic. Silence from my understanding wanted to help people, and try to be a force of good in the company, but things unfortunately went poorly.

They are kids, ffs.

Like that had ever stopped authors before.

Plus it's like this conversation comes up every single day, on any and every anime/manga/fan-art related piece of content. Yes fictional stylized anime drawings of made up "people" with made up ages sometimes have sex. Much shocking, many wows, moving on now.

Here. I can write it without spoilers now. She is a monster too. No wonder she had no issue believing vampires exist or weren't afraid of them.

I know right. So much for freaking out about realism. Just dynasty drama I suppose.

Honestly I feel like at this point they should just change the name of the website to "Dynasty Drama", it'd be incredibly fitting.

That aside, this was an incredibly cute new chapter!

@SushiKnight: She has the drills in this as well. The straight bits of hair in the front are the same as they in the official art, the drills are mostly in the back and we can kind of see a glimpse of that in this art. The reason why the official art has "more" drills is only because the camera angle is different and we can't see the drills as easily in this compared to the official art.

^The official art work is intentionally Halloween themed, so I think it's Marie dressing up as Red Riding Hood for Halloween. I'm probably going to explain it poorly but here goes, last year in Japan the 4th Anniversary had a physical in person event to celebrate. It had various different sections with different themes, and one of them was a Halloween themed area, that official art for Marie is art designed for that area. Hopefully this makes some amount of sense, and I'm not just rambling madly.

This made me laugh really hard, the Asobi Asobase connection people are drawing is spot on. Hopefully the author/artist returns one day to deliver more hilarious works like this to the world.

I often don't like Takemiya Jin's works, they from what I remember write a lot of weird and/or grim dark stories. So I'm kind of shocked that people are surprised that this story was weird, while reading this I could only think, "Oh great here Takemiya goes again". I always want to give new works a fair chance regardless of author, but yeah I definitely didn't enjoy this one-shot unfortunately.

I think I mostly agree with Random, a weird platonic long-distance kind of thing, that could also result in them having sex at times when Mostima shows back up in town because again complicated relationships. I just don't in any way see Mostima as sisterly in the slightest and likely never will, so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree Mike, and that's perfectly fine. We both have our perspectives and they're both equally valid.

I really don't see them as "sisters" in the slightest. Especially given various story details, that I won't go into given that they might count as spoilers to some if they didn't play a recent event on the Global Server, but I will at least say that it involves Exusiai's actual sister. Also I think Exusiai and Mostima make for an interesting but complicated ship, one that I very much like for several reasons.

Just from a geographical perspective this seems like an odd pairing. Never played the game and probably never will.

They're just code names, and the characters are from the same city.

Uhh..

Lappland suffers from an illness/infection that will kill eventually her, and it causes various damage to the body over time. So Lappland making a joke about it caused Texas to be upset, because it's a serious matter. A lot of major characters in Arknights have it, and they're still searching for a cure.

So wait...let me get this straight, there's two different people in these comments that made lengthy posts and are upset that this isn't more realistic? A short cute little vampire romance that the author is making just for fun, I don't understand how such a simple cute little series that's entirely harmless warrants so much intense hatred from some people, but alrighty I guess.

Man, it was a good thing MC-san's in love with Miku, because going straight to groping and sexual assault without consent is a VERY risky maneuver... oh well, logic checks out in Yuri Land

I just knew someone was going to make a comment like this, and I think in fiction at least it's mostly about reading the room and the right atmosphere. They're both likely going through puberty and horny, combined with how the MC was looking at Miku. Miku knew there was attraction between them and things escalated, so I really don't think this manga has sexual assault in it, but ah well I rather not debate this further than this single comment.

@thechampionmike95 Well that's fair. I personally don't mind relationships of any sexuality in my entertainment, but I definitely would like to see more of Okita & Nobu as a canon ship. I think again though that Redline will largely focus mostly on the battles, and so far the manga has proven to be really excellent in that regard.

Also I fully agree that getting Gudako in anime form would be amazing. The Epic of Remnant Shimosa manga stars Gudako, and focuses on her battles & adventurers with Musashi. Which so far has been a really entertaining read, with some really nice art. So I'm very much hoping that the manga as it is with Gudako and the art style get adapted into an anime.

I'm shifting part of the edit on my last comment to this one since I think it makes more sense here. As I said though we might not fully agree on everything and that's of course fine, no hard feelings here. Plus regardless I have enough hype for at least 10 people for Redline, and the possibility of an anime adaption at some point haha. Anyhow though it was fun talking to you, have a great evening/night/morning, and stay safe during these crazy times!

@thechampionmike95 You still get a lot of f/f ships from Fate anime. For example the arguably main canon relationship of Zero is Iri and Kiritsugu, but there's still more than enough cute interactions between Artoria and Iri that a ship between them works well. I personally love the fan-art of them together. Part of my point is that Okita & Nobu is already a fairly popular ship in the Fate fandom, a really hype and amazing adaption of Redline will only generate more of that because of the already established head canon in the fandom. Combined with any and all of their interactions in the anime fueling that fire.

Maybe you disagree with me, or just don't see where I'm coming from. That's fine, but as someone who is very involved in both the Fate fandom and fan-art communities in general, I am very confident in my belief that an anime adaption of this series would generate more fan-art of Okita & Nobu as a ship.

@thechampionmike95 Okita has 0 interest in her master thus far. The series is in general very serious, and lot of the Nobu and/or Okita action scenes look freaking great in my opinion. I wish the main master was female, but aside from that the series has been really enjoyable so far for me. An anime adaption is something I'd absolutely love, especially given how brutal and kick ass Nobu & Okita are.

I think "Azero25" was just saying that with an anime adaption of the series, you'd also likely get people making fan art with the male master. I think though that a lot of people (including myself) love the Okita & Nobu ship, so an anime would probably give at least a decent boost to the production of their ship fan-art (I'd hope anyhow).

Cheesy and shallow.

Well you must be fun at parties. It was cheesy yes, which was fun in my opinion, but I think the escapism wasn't exactly shallow. If anything I felt it was sincere.

Ah yes. The "cheating with a man" cliché. Because everybody loves that right?

well what do you expect doesn't really seem like she swung for girls to begin with. sounds like she didn't want to do it with her gf

It's also a "cliche" for a reason. A straight person trying to date a homosexual person as an experiment is unfortunately not rare from what I know. Plus you also have the whole traditional views on marriage that still exist in Japan. So authors through their writing get out their frustrations about subjects like this. Which I think makes sense. Also every work on the planet has cliches, every author gets influences from somewhere or something. Lots of works can be linked back to the likes of Shakespeare, and he wasn't even entirely original himself. I think also a cliche like this exists mainly because it's realistic and relatable for the author and often their target audience.

My rambling aside, I found this to be a very enjoyable prequel.

@Heart-Of-The-Earth The artist has also drawn them side by side where J'Alter is maybe just slightly taller than S'Alter, https://twitter.com/saberchankawaii/status/1263110113625178112?s=20 there. J'Alter is 1.5-2 inches taller according to their canon heights, and the artist shows this off and is well aware in that side by side art. Just imagine for this particular piece of art that S'alter is leaning on something, standing on a step, or anything else you can think of. I think it's a really great shot and dynamic, so I'm fine imagining whatever makes the art work.
