this is so fucking precious, I really hope this ends with a Nanao x Asumi x Mai triad tbh

Why does Mai need to be a thing after not being a thing for a gazillion of chapters?

Not only that but Nanao doesn't even know Mai so wishing for a 3P makes no sense.

Asumi can date both of them, Nanao and Mai don't have to date each other for it to be a thing. It's called being metamours, works great~
(no snark, just pointing out the opton)

I'm proud of you Asumi, your bottom ass managed to top someone else for a whole chapter :D Good job!

Chapter 15 was the first "proper" appearance, but her first introduction was in Volume 2 actually, which speaks for itself regarding the author's intention for her.

As far as intent goes Shiho was prob always meant to be a cornerstone of the story, given how her actions are the catalyst for literally everything the manga is about. If she hadn't left the band, Yori wouldn't've come in as an extra to help out for the performance, which means Himari wouldn't've seen her perform, they wouldn't've interacted or fallen in love, etc.

I hope they won't get rid of the sensory sharing in the end. What would happen to their sisterly horny bonding time? D:

If nothing else there's always the universal school time plot/drama creator: the future. Himari is a first year while everyone in SS Girls are third years. Shiho and her band are all second years.

Graduation, getting separated, college, what comes after school. Plenty to worry about for everyone involved xD

Happy endings are fine, but does Shiho deserve to be happy after everything she’s done? She’s evil, she’s cruel, she’s a monster! She is the worst person in the story by a mile and her having a happy ending with Aki, ESPECIALLY after how she has treated Aki and the people Aki cares about, she really does not deserve to be happy

Y'all need to chill and remember what kind of story we're in here.
It's not like Shiho assaulted, blackmailed or murdered someone. She was really just being bitch on purpose to distance herself from her former friends, antagonizing them bc "i can't be around her anymore and that'll be easier if she hates me". Her reactions are out of proportion compared to the vibe of the rest of the cast but that's it.

It's literally just a schoolyard argument between friends. Nobody here is evil or a monster or irredeemible. Sheesh.

Drinking age in Japan is 20, and US is 21, so if we're measuring how reasonable and responsible a country's laws are by that the US wins.

(ok so actually legal drinking age in the US can vary by state, though all states still restrict drinking to 21, but some with exceptions, and you need to be 21 to buy alcohol in the entire country except Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands)

Meanwhile here in Germany you can drink and buy beer, wine and sparkling wine at 16 and anything alcoholic, including spirits at 18. Heck, you're even technically allowed to drink the light stuff like beer in public when you're 14, as long as you're accompanied by a legal guardian. I didn't even know that last part myself until I looked it up just now xD

Not quite sure if here's the right spot as idk if it even exists but oh well.

A friend just reminded me of that one sci-fi movie with Justin Timberlake where ppl stop aging at 25yo and society has started using the time of one's lifespan as a currency.

That made me wonder, is there a manga out there that uses a concept like that? Life time as currency?

Dang. Over 2 years later… What’s the status?

The twitter/pixiv version of this series is finished and completely translated. It got serialized and licensed for an english release, the last volume of which (vol.4) is coming out in July.

Chapter 58: this was simultaneously the grossest and most vindicating chapter of the whole manga so far. damn that punch felt good

ok this is just ridiculous, ayaka just needs to tell her what's up already, surely that's less stress than she's currently dealing with

One might say that's exactly what she's been trying to do this whole time xD

It was an extreme, invasive thing to do but having just been told that his life and potentially his daughter's were being targeted, I think that counts as extenuating circumstances and makes his desire to check that mysterious partner of hers a bit more understandable.

I've just read to the end of the series today. The whole series is very cute and wholesome, but it does not focus on romance or even have explicit romance at all, it's all about friendship (including how friendship functions with the intense feelings for one's idol in the mix) until the end. However there are good shipping material for MC Sakiko and the "yandere" Maaya all around, especially vol 04 and 05, and they end up living together when they are adults, and they hold strong friendship with Chihiro who continues working as an idol and visits the two all the times. One time Maaya confides with Sakiko that she does have [romantic] feelings for Chihiro, but never told Chihiro "because she might not know what to do with it" and keeping the current friendship is more important. Sakiko and Maaya bond together with that sort of feelings for their idol. So I guess it's more Subtext than outright Yuri.

I think it still counts as yuri. Maaya's feeling are explicitly romantic, just bc she chooses not to confess bc she figures it wouldn't be reciprocated doesn't mean they aren't there. Doesn't feel ambiguous or subtexty to me at all

Wait so why does Akira hates the teacher? she sure looked angry when Satsuki mentioned him (There is a vein in her face in that shot) did I missed something?

I think it's a complicated "i'm happy that more ppl believe her but that also means that she'll rely on my less so i'm conflicted" kinda feeling

Called it

Chapter 57
I have no idea what's going on anymore. We're reaching levels of melodrama I didn't think were possible. I'm just waiting for Geouido to twirl her mustache and reveal she is Yano long thought dead twin who is pregnant from having sex with Nene. This Kanoko subplot is killing some of my love of the series.

It feels a little contrived at this point but i don't think the whole deal about Goeidou is all that mysterious or complex. Barring any future reveals how it looks to me is that Goeidou is a hedonistic manipulator who gets a kick out of making ppl dance to her tune despite or exactly bc it goes contrary to their own feelings/wishes. And she seems to have pegged Sumika as her favorite target bc she's such a polar opposite to her "play hard, care less" attitude when it comes to "love"/relationships. That's why she keeps preying on the issues of ppl close to her like Nene or Kanoko.

Oh I get it, I was being facetious about not knowing what's going on. I just hate this characterization as it feels like it's simplifying her character as just "the villain". I was hoping for more shading.

oohhh okay, gotcha xD yeaa i get what you mean, it's a little caricature-esque. i also hope she'll get some more depth
