Not everyone has the same idea of what constitutes a fulfilling life-style. Sakurako read the entire library at the school during those 3 years. Sakurako learned dozens of new recipes during those 3 years. Sakurako spent every possible second with the girl she loves for those 3 years. She did a test of courage, went on a school trip, tutored her sister, went to a shrine 100 times, had a flower viewing where she got drunk on chocolates and she watched movies with her classmates.

Those are just some of the things we actually saw. You can bet they did even more during the large timeskips. If you can't see how these things are fulfilling to a person, you ought to broaden your horizons.

by the way sakuraro read the entire library and learn the recipes out of boredom for waiting for kasumi

just to be clear im not saying the manga is bad by any meas or that i have a problem with it, i just find weird and kind of lazy that the 3 year of high school pass in 40 chapters compared to stuff like yuru yuri that´s 100+ chapter and the girls are still in the same year (maybe im wrong it´s been a while since i read yuru yuri feel fre to correct)

maybe the author didn´t fell confortable wiritng a story in a school setting i mean the story is about two girls living together and in my opinion that kind of setting works better in a story about adults or young adults like fusoroi no renri maybe that´s why the author move as quick as posible so he could wirte in a setting he´d be more confortable i don´t know man you don´t need to get to defensive

i know this is a slice of life/comedy manga and im not suposed to think about all of this but at the chapter when they graduate i couldn´t stop thinking "men what a boring school life they had" i mean the didn´t do shit
At that age i used to stay at school 3 or 4 hrs after my classes were over, playing basketball volleyball hanging with friends etc, those were the best years of my life
at least kasumi went to work after class but sakurako decide to waste 3 years of her life doing nothing but cooking and cleaning i mean she didn´t need to, kasumi spent a lot of time working she could use that time to hang with friends geting into a club or anything really and get home in time to make diner and spend the rest of the day with kasumi

maybe im just used to having more subtance in my slice of lice and less fluff

This reminds me of a series where there's a girl who loves butts, a girls who loves people staring at her butt, and a girl who loves to hear the other two making love. It may sound stupid, but the story is pretty well executed.

Now in this case of Kurogane's, I'd say the third wheel girl is quite similar (vouyerism anyone?) but the story is just pure stupidity. Out of nowhere sex scenes is what I'd describe

maybe but undestandable i mean i actually forgot that the manga was still going since for some reason motto hanjuku joshi deals with stuff that the prequel already solve like yae insecurities about being a girl that is in love with another girl the whole thing about her lingering feelings for youko and then sudenly yae is like you know what? forget it everythings is fine now
it´s like the author sundenly remember that the already wrote a 18 chapters manga about all of that and sudenly change the focus of the story to the new couple, that to be hones is kinda boring, i mean is kind of interesting from yae´s perspective for the whole "the girl that rejected me for being a girl is in love with a girl now" deal but at this point of the story is only natural for yae to be ok with it since she already deal withe her lingering feelings for youko and she´s really in love with chitose
the new couple came out of nowhere they literally pop out they weren´t properly intoruced or anything and now they´ll probably be the focus of the story

we literally don´t know anything about them so how are supose to care about them
i love hanjuku joshi is one of my favorite mangas of all time but i think making a sequel was probably a mistake

i don´t get how this manga got into the 2018 top 10 yuri mangas i mean is not bad the art is great and is cute and all, but if not for the reminder of every chapter that they´re indeed dating but it´s a secret and the 2 flashback chapters i´d probably mistake this as subtext or yuri crush
is also kind of generic, most of the chapters feel like i´ve already read them somewhere else

@ThatAroAce to be honest i don´t remember much of the final episode i only finish the show because a friend force me to so i don´t remember the yuri couple
i don´t think that the first half was particulary good it was fine but that just because the show is a blatant TTGL/evangelion copycat

I remember someone saying this becomes a full-blown Yuri eventually. When is that?

yeah you´re right i wasn´t clear enough i think the point of the story is that even if he doesn´t fit the "handsome feminine guy" sterotype like his friend does he is a great person and has his own charm

wow anime fans really are hipsters AF i remember before the anime adaptation when this thread was full or reasonable people and some people that just enjoy the girl on girl action, now that the series got popular a lot of people out of nowhere just seems to hate yagakimi becuase ...............reasons......i guess
is not like in citrus where we knew all the time that was trash
lterally the second the anime got popular the series is now pretentious even thought the plot and the issues treated are so simple and relatable to the point that anyone can predict the next chapter
some people even consider bloom into you to be a slice of life even if the manga is clearly structured on arcs that lead one to another with permanet consequences to the plot
