maybe but undestandable i mean i actually forgot that the manga was still going since for some reason motto hanjuku joshi deals with stuff that the prequel already solve like yae insecurities about being a girl that is in love with another girl the whole thing about her lingering feelings for youko and then sudenly yae is like you know what? forget it everythings is fine now
it´s like the author sundenly remember that the already wrote a 18 chapters manga about all of that and sudenly change the focus of the story to the new couple, that to be hones is kinda boring, i mean is kind of interesting from yae´s perspective for the whole "the girl that rejected me for being a girl is in love with a girl now" deal but at this point of the story is only natural for yae to be ok with it since she already deal withe her lingering feelings for youko and she´s really in love with chitose
the new couple came out of nowhere they literally pop out they weren´t properly intoruced or anything and now they´ll probably be the focus of the story

we literally don´t know anything about them so how are supose to care about them
i love hanjuku joshi is one of my favorite mangas of all time but i think making a sequel was probably a mistake

i don´t get how this manga got into the 2018 top 10 yuri mangas i mean is not bad the art is great and is cute and all, but if not for the reminder of every chapter that they´re indeed dating but it´s a secret and the 2 flashback chapters i´d probably mistake this as subtext or yuri crush
is also kind of generic, most of the chapters feel like i´ve already read them somewhere else

@ThatAroAce to be honest i don´t remember much of the final episode i only finish the show because a friend force me to so i don´t remember the yuri couple
i don´t think that the first half was particulary good it was fine but that just because the show is a blatant TTGL/evangelion copycat

I remember someone saying this becomes a full-blown Yuri eventually. When is that?

yeah you´re right i wasn´t clear enough i think the point of the story is that even if he doesn´t fit the "handsome feminine guy" sterotype like his friend does he is a great person and has his own charm

wow anime fans really are hipsters AF i remember before the anime adaptation when this thread was full or reasonable people and some people that just enjoy the girl on girl action, now that the series got popular a lot of people out of nowhere just seems to hate yagakimi becuase ...............reasons......i guess
is not like in citrus where we knew all the time that was trash
lterally the second the anime got popular the series is now pretentious even thought the plot and the issues treated are so simple and relatable to the point that anyone can predict the next chapter
some people even consider bloom into you to be a slice of life even if the manga is clearly structured on arcs that lead one to another with permanet consequences to the plot

ppl realy want a touko x sayaka end, i mean i understand why, sayaka is a cool character but come on the mental gymnastics to get them together are insane i expect that kind of stuff from mangas like NTR or citrus
the gimick of "i know i´ve been in love with you for the past 20+ chapters but you know what fuck it im gonna date this girl because we need drama and fake tension so the story can drag on another 10 chapters" is cheap and it´ll crush my heart to see yagakimi use this kind of bullshit
it´s fine to ship characters but people need to face reality you have doujins and fanart so stop pretending that touko acepting sayaka feelings make sense cuz i doesn´t

sup a lot of people here seem to be interested in romance that go beyond the getting together part so im just making some quick recomendations of mangas/animes that treat that kind of story sadly there´s no yuri because i actually haven´t read any aside for doujins or a room for two but you know they´re just S U P E R F R I E N D S so doesn´t count technically

is a 24 chapter about a college student that got some kind of amnesia then he moves to tokyo where she meets a girl etc etc the light novel was writthen by the same author that wrote Toradora is pretty fun the main couple starts dating at chapter 5 if you like toradora this one is definetly for you
btw kaga kouko is best girl fuck you fight me

2 Chivalry of a Failed Knight it look like your typical fantasy harem self insert light novel adaptation and kind of is but is actually not that bad the MC actually choose a girl to date at chapter 4 instead of just doing nothing like the other light novel adaptation

3 Tonari no kaibutsu is a story about a cold diligent student and a punk that are both socially akward but pretty noble at heart they meet and start falling in love and making friends along the way they start dating halfway the manga wich is kind of long but pretty good

4 ore monogatari a story of a big ugly guy that saves a cute little girl on a train from a molester then she falls in love with him is actually refreshing that the girl actively persuit a relationship with the guy instead of just waiting she goes as far as searching for the school the guy assist (they study in diferent school by the way) and inviting him to dates
also it has some fanservices for the fujoshis so check it out

and that´s all i know is not yuri but they´re all great love storys with brillant writting and pacing so you should totally check it out and if you know any other manga/anime that also goes beyond the getting togehter part please tell me about it because i love this kind o storys

I agree on this completely; on the other hand, since this is a yuri story in a yuri magazine, if they want to make money they need to make Kaoru either cheat on the husband or be abandoned by/leave him, and ultimately be with Uta. Otherwise this story is a fiasco.

nisekoi was a shoujo story (well was more like a trashy harem but whatever) published on a shonen magazine (shonen jump) and make a lot of money i mean it was awfull but for completely diferent reasons
meanwhile bloom into you a yuri story is being published on dengeki daioh wich is a shonen/seinen magazine and made a lot of money

at this point it doesn´t really mater what the author decides this manga is beyond save
to be honest i don´t really care if uta ends up with kaoru or not
i don´t care if reichi is cheating on his wife
i don´t care about uta´s plans for the future
i don´t care if uta moves with her mother
i don´t care about kuro and miyabi´s relationship
and i definetly don´t care about that girl that go raped? by her teacher
and it´s probably because the author also don´t care about the stuff that i just mention probably because is more concerned about throwing random plot twists and drama to keep the tension instead of writing a decent story
