You know, I'm typically a fan of yuri with a bit of het, since I don't like the everyone-is-gay-and-there-is-zero-conflict style of yuri...but I'm a bit amused by a yuri series that could barely pass the Bechdel Test with its first 11 chapters.

Panel 3 isn't subtle enough to be 'subtext'.

Just a quick contradiction of the credits page...Precure's been for the 5-12 year old girl AND 16-32 year old man demographics from the beginning, according to some marketing documentation that made the rounds.

I assume these arnt a pair or even hinted at in the manga?

She's been regularly training for the marathon with Kase's help. It does not mean that it takes place after chapter 5 since training is not a one time deal.
Also the doujin takes place in February for Valentine's Day but I believe it's spring for chapter 5.

This continuing from the alternate ending where they didn't get together (yet) is the only answer that really makes sense, isn't it?

It mentions her help with the marathon, so this after the chapter five events.

I assume this is continuing on from the alternate ending to chapter 5, where things were delayed.
