Is it the same author as the one with three schoolgirls accidentally having a threesome?

edit: yep

Scummy will probably have a wholesome Xmas instead of an XXXmas (I am so bad at this!)

Risa is kind of wrong about things changing in 10 years - the board of directors and all higher ups are probably at least mostly still the same amd it is them who will decide how things will go for the employees.

Which i an interesting side to showcasing class contradictions and how the working class is oppressed in all ways by the capital - and I am getting sidetracked

Yeah, probably this backstory should've been narrated earlier since pretty much all of us hate Hiroko and have made up our mind on the "she only rejected Ayaka to protect her public persona" plot line

I feel it is unnecessary frankly. I liked her acting like this because she had to if she wanted to succeed in a flawed society. It was an interesting POV that you don't see often in yuri mangas

That was a speedrun- ah, it's the final chapter. Hope there's an epilogue. In chapter 6, it says there's something called "the pair afterwards"

And there's plenty of cheap things healthier then that popcorn dish for sure.

Probably local production conditions where it's about cheapest there

I thinking "wanting a career in an environment where outing oneself would end it" is a good enough excuse to avoid a relationship with a younger coworker. No need for a sappy "I had a scummy but kind of sexy boss back then so I have trauma on this topic" backstory

If I had a nickel for every manga where this author had drawn a girl kissing a cat that was uploaded here I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

I can respect Hiroko for saying it.
Frankly, I don't support the idea of Risa getting with Ayaka - Risa is too good for her! Besides, Ayaka just doesn't love Risa, which is a shame but cannot be helped - or maybe could but shouldn't.

I would give it a timeskip to change up their circumstances if I were the author. Currently there really is no way for Hiroko and Ayaka to get together "in a good way" - one which won't make the readers feel like they'll break up in a month.

I feel like I'm about to be flamed here by my very own hot take, but I feel like Ayaka is on the wrong with how she is going on strong for Hiroko.
We, as readers, know that Hiroko doesn't date co-workers because she does not wish to be outed as a lesbian and because it may have serious reprecussions in her career.
Ayaka could think of it too - because she literally works in the same place. But she doesn't do it, which is something I cannot really be sure I want to be faulting on her. The latest chapter as of now has shown her rather closed off from social interactions and wanting to understand interpersonal dynamics in her office and, in light of it, I figured that all her previous actions were not meant to somehow fit in or try to endear herself to the crew - she only wanted to be noticed by Hiroko.
Which makes her someone socially - not inept - but still lacking in sensibilities.
Her love for Hiroko comes off to me as rather selfish now. She wants Hiroko, but the one whose image she had built in her mind. Which was why she was so distraught when she found out Hiroko was lying.
If you think about it, we all loved bashing Hiroko for agressively not noticing Ayaka, but if we didn't know she was lesbian, or even if we didn't see her inner monologues, we'd think that she either a) misunderstood like an unrealistic clutz (ironically the maybe truth) b) was not gay but felt awkward rejecting Ayaka and tried to give her the hint or c) was gay but did not want to return Ayaka's feelings.
And Ayaka would look like she was possessive and overbearing and couldn't get the hint - maybe she would be seen as pitiful, but by no means would the readers support her as much.
And from the characters' POV is exactly how the characters see the story.
Besides, apart from being in love with Hiroko, what else does she want? What is her deal apart from this fixation? What will she even do when she gets together with Hiroko?
What I'm trying to say is that they both have faults and they should both work on them because even if they got together at this point it would not end well.

This level of tension cannot be found even in the best of thrillers. The tension of seeing if Makino's scumminess will be too much at last.

Unfortunate. I wanted them to have something sweet and for the witch to turn out to just be misunderstood. WELP. ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

Honestly, I'm kind of sick of the "evil girl was just misunderstood" trope. It's such a cliche at this point

That being said, Knight's condescending attitude didn't earn a lot of sympathy points lol

what are you on about? condecending attitude is equal to being enslaved as an undead that can’t even talk to an psychopath witch? eh?

What are you expecting of a psychopath witch? Those bones didn't come from nowhere

Ever noticed this manga is literally "I'm edgy: the series" or "I'm weird. I'm a weirdo. I don't fit in: the manga" ???

you mean, "but I'm a creep. I'm a weirdo. What the hell am I doing here? I don't belong here: the manga"?

Death curse, schmeath curse...
If necessary, Satsuki can just become god or something. files fingernails

Edit: Reading Walk to Death is pretty much required to fully appreciate what this manga is doing, Fellow Dynasty Scans Forum Users. Go. Do it.

I thought it was a reference to death note

That was kinda cute. "Jaded Playboy to Prince" is a good progression.

The name Shizuru did make me jump a bit, half-expected the other girl's name to be Natsuki, lol.

? Reference to something?

The Gyaru tag is wrong.

The character Mishima is obviously inspired in whatshername from "The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All" series. Y'know, the record store girl who likes rock and looks like a guy.

But that's totally 100% not a gyaru.

Mishima's casual look can be called rocker style, grunge style, ghetto style, soft butch style, oh, lotta things—but she's nothing like a gyaru.

Maybe they are just similar. I don't know which story came out earlier and if the authors even read them
