I'm confused all to heck by this episode. I'm finding it difficult to figure out who said what.

I'm beginning to really dislike Shio.

Yeah, starting to seem like pro-luxury brand propaganda.

I'm going to give up on this one. I can't stand comic smokers.

Introducing a 3rd chr just made me loose all interest tbh - and its no longer hot either.. Not into blackmail either..Shame.
Hope you all enjoy the rest if it IS to your tastes.

There's only one o in the word lose. The word loose means "not tight."

27 vs 19 is a pretty big difference. Perfectly fair for Xiaoen to worry about that.

Oh you young people, thinking 8 years is a big age gap...

i think 8 is fair to worry about given one party is under 21-22 in particular, but especially like 19.

Really? I don't think so,

I was around 21-22, and the first woman I fell in love with was 20ish years older than me.

and how come Ticketmaster is raising up prices on the nosebleed section to see Red Hot Chili Peppers in California?!!??
-Internet Yuritorian

Because Ticketmaster has a monopoly and they can.

I'm kind of amused about the discussion of the age gap. When I was in my early 40s, teenage girls kept flirting with me. Making it quite clear what they wanted. I wasn't going anywhere near that, but it happened.

I find it sad that Xingyuan has internalized homophobia, and hates herself for her sexual orientation.

I remember one time helping a guy pay off a debt which all of us were part of. We all chipped in, no sex involved. Just sayin'.

... well this suddenly got boring, I don't care about any of this clothing stuff but it increasingly seems this is the main focus of this manga

Yeah, I'm getting there.

I'm definitely in the cheap and practical camp rather than "trendy," whatever that is. The only reason why I haven any shirts with collars on them is because of work.

Never heard Red Hot Chili Peppers called RHCP before. But then, I haven't really paid attention to them since the early '90s.

So Onee san just met Mai's mum.
She looks exactly like her just a small ver.
No wonder she got annoyed when Tae chan treated her like a kid.

You guessed correctly.

@Saskabush - I know being cold doesn't give you a cold- but being cold and wet DOES increase your vulnerability to catching one because it messes your immune system up- so if you are then exposed to the virus you are less likely to fight it off easily.

If things worked the way they do in comic, then Canada, Norway, Finland, Russia, Sweden, parts of the US, etc would become quickly become depopulated.

Does anyone else get irritated at the "a cold is a debilitating disease, life-threatening even, caused by getting wet" trope in manga?

A cold is a mild infection caused by a virus.

Okay so wtf is this? XD
There is no actual way the tall girl is an actual kid right?!
Like she must just have some head damage or amnesia, right?

No, several years ago, a neighbour's kid was that age, and she was approaching 6' tall. She was taller than I was. It can happen.

I was like "WTF? She grew 6" over the winter?"

Who's the glasses woman at the end?

At least the ending isn't that bad as Octave's
Mitsukii's wife. You must have missed the point where it said "3 years later," and the wedding photos.

I find this aspect of manga disturbing. Is Asian drinking culture like this? This forcing of drinks on the reluctant, and the inability to say no?

Absolutely yes. In Japan you are expected to drink at social gatherings, especially if a superior is drinking and asking you to do it as well.

A Western friend working in Japan said that was the worst of a number of unpleasant things about Japanese professional culture--being required to go drinking where everyone was getting hammered and being expected to do so oneself.

My favourite scene in the movie Tampopo:

true story i once stopped going to a smoothie place because it weirded me out that the person at the counter started recognizing me.

i mean i know that's inevitable but, like, i have a pattern i use when i order please don't go off-script i can't handle that. just don't acknowledge the familiarity it's fine.

(apparently customer service people are encouraged to track repeat customers and call them out like that???? i guess it's meant to be welcoming or something but i find it seriously off-putting)
I don't remember the circumstances, but I'm pretty sure that I've done something similar.

I remember one coffee shop a couple of doors down from where I worked I could tell one of the employees liked me. The problem was, I didn't find her attractive. At all. One time my co-worker told me he was chatting with her, and told her "And he's single," and she went "Oooo." Then he was baffled why I got upset at him.

I wish we got to know the wife a bit. I don't think she even got a name.

Uh.... do we have a tag for frantically sounding a big truck horn in celebration? Because in need of one right now

As a Canadian I'm somewhat triggered by the big truck horn thing. Could we sound something else in celebration?
(mostly joking; if you're wondering, look up "#flutrucksklan" aka "Freedumb Convoy")

I live in Montréal and I feel you. V( ̄ー ̄)v

I was passing by a convoy locally, on their way to the provincial legislature, and as I drove past I gave each and every one of those flag wielding honking aholes the finger.
