Yuu out here keeping it real.

Although a double date is fun too. I'm all aboard Tsukushi's emotional rollercoaster.

Here I thought I might have finally started to learn how to play Mahjong thanks to My Time at Sandrock, only for this chapter to come out and humble me immensely. I understood exactly 0% of what they were talking about with the 3P Mahjong.

Is this series going to change from Kirara to Comic Fuz? I saw a mention of Comic Fuz in chapter 40, page 2. And what is Comic Fuz? A web magazine that synthesizes many types of manga (I see on its website that there are quite a few series that are being published in other magazines like Slow Start, or have been completely transferred to its website like Yuru Camp), or does it also release traditional paper magazines?

I'm pretty sure Comic Fuz is just the publisher Houbunsha's online manga service. It's similar to how Shueisha has Mangaplus/Jump Plus: there's a good catalog of digital exclusives, which are only published on the site, but they also publish the series from their physical magazines there (which in the case of Houbunsha, would be the various Manga Time labels, including the Manga Time Kirara family of magazines).

I think the mention of Comic Fuz on the title pages is just the publisher advertising to try and drive traffic to the site; if I'm reading it right, it's just saying that new chapter parts update on the site every Saturday.

Cute little chapter to cap off their first year. Looks like the new couple from the Valentine's Day chapter might have gotten promoted to full supporting cast status? I'd be happy if so; I like them, and it'll be nice to have another established couple in the mix.

Also, this chapter is totally foreshadowing that Mashiro and Nagisa are going to be in different classes next year, aren't they? If so, I feel like Mashiro is not going to take it well. XD

A new Usui Shio series?

It's an honor student x (sort of) delinquent pairing?

And it's a fake dating plot?

I'll take the whole stock.

I love this series so much. Something about it just hits all the right notes for me.

Ema looking strangely happy to hear that Takara is single...

I do wish we got more time with the main couple. They don't even appear in most of these chapters now.

I think the author is more interested in budding relationships than in couple life. Nagisa and Mashiro's romance arc has effectively ended in volume 3, and there has been little dramatic potential in them since (except maybe for Mashiro's health worsening dramatically, but I do not think the story will ever go that dark). Barring that, I think we will be treated with occasional bits of overwhelming cuteness from those two, but the series' main focus seems to be on "side" couples from now on.

It's definitely plausible, though I'm not fully convinced on this yet. Volumes 4 & 5 were still primarily focused on Nagisa and Mashiro, after all. I think the next few chapters are going to be telling on this front: with the love polygon now largely detangled, and Uda x Riri being the only yet-to-be couple remaining, the creator would need to start introducing new characters if they want to keep following budding relationships. And they have a perfect opportunity to do just that with the new school year, so it'll be interesting to see if that's the route they go. Maybe we'll finally learn something about the girl that was randomly highlighted during the cultural festival.

What do we figure the odds are that that husband murdered his wife, and that's why she's missing?

Would be kinda funny if ends up being a misunderstanding though. Like if the wife ghosted him too, and he's hoping Ai would have a lead on where she is, and he only looks so menacing due to resting bitch face.

Is the manga on break?

It was on break last month, yeah. Apparently the creator caught Covid and the flu back to back in December, at least according to some comments I've seen that supposedly came from her Fanbox. It was only a one month break though, so the next chapter should come out soon-ish.

So it was indeed paparazzi. Curious what the director is planning here; I'm no expert in Japanese labor laws, but I can't imagine there is any way she can force Miyako to be an idol again against her will.

And we get some more insight into Asako's thoughts from last chapter. They seem pretty reasonable? It makes total sense that she doesn't want to get swept up in emotions and rush into any major life decisions. As she says, they only just started dating; it's totally fine to want to take things slow and enjoy the honeymoon period. I'm not quite sure what Miyako means when she says it's her fault though.

PLUTO MENTIONED

Psych has ruined me; I can't help but think about Gus' cheesy pick up line whenever I hear about Pluto.

I'm really curious to see how the next chapter goes. I was pretty surprised Minami actually admitted her jealousy, so I have some hope that this might actually go somewhere. Though there's also a decent chance Minami will just spontaneously combust.

Oh hey, this got posted here! I've been following this on Mangadex, and found it really enjoyable so far. The particular brand of angst in this series is right up my alley. Really interested to see where it goes.

Uozumi Ami has a couple of interesting looking series in addition to this one, that I'm hoping will also see the light of day at some point.

Wait don't tell me they're actually not going to talk at all and just practice on their own until the day of the event and then dance and talk after all is done just for dramatic effect.

You know that's exactly how this is going to shake out. I'm half expecting them to not even actually speak, but for it to just be them "communicating" through their dance or something.

But all this pales in comparison to the revelation Seta indeed has 2 moms.

The true revelation this chapter. Let's hope all this ghost business wraps up quickly so we can turn our attention to what's really important.

But seriously, damn, what a chapter.

Hell yeah, the prospective kidnapper got stabbed!

I already love this. I'm a sucker for food-themed stories, as well as the grumpy person x cheerfully pushy person dynamic they've got going on. Can't wait to see where this ends up going.

Suuna just casually bragging to her mom about having a sefure XD

I keep wondering how long the creator can keep the whole "sefure" misunderstanding going, and they just keep coming up with creative ideas. Every chapter is always such a riot.

Dang, based on that cover, I was expecting a cute slice of life food series, not a first chapter that ends with an attempted kidnapping.

Tsukushi's gonna blow up after this, isn't she? She already was overloaded just thinking about saying the words, a kiss might just send her to the afterlife lol

I 100% think this is going to happen. She mentioned earlier she was getting sleepy, and we know she didn't sleep the night before this trip. I'm fully expecting her brain to overload from the kiss, she passes out, and when she wakes up she'll assume the kiss was a dream.

Heyyyyyy,

I just finished reading "The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All" and the story really is stuck in my head. Do you guys know any mangas similar. By similar I mean the ones that give you butterflies, all those "zhiihdhskznzbxuxndshsh" kind of feelings, and ugghhh it's so cute I'm gonna cry and hit the wall kinda stuff. If the manga comes with a cool art style then it's beyond perfect.

Thankssss.

My New Friend Wasn't What I Expected is basically "The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn't a Guy At All" with the serial numbers filed off.

Anemone is in Heat isn't similar premise-wise, but definitely fits the "it's so cute I'm gonna cry and hit the wall" vibe. The MCs are so great together. It's got phenomenal art too.

Poor Hinata being a fifth wheel XD

Hirose was great this chapter too. And I think I'm sensing a side-ship brewing between her and Hatori...
