Loving this story. The character portrayals are so good. Glad to see that Song Li is noticing the little details. It was set up in a way that makes it really believable that someone would mistake her signing as being for the huge payout, and not the money that she earned and lost.

"Kiss me like you've never kissed before."
"Oh, uh... okay. How about this?"

I feel like the subtext was thick enough to accept that they're a couple that just isn't into public displays of affection.

This felt like a strange chapter...just a "well all that effort for nothing, and now everyone is gaining weight lol". I don't know what to think...I still love the art and character designs at least haha

My guess is the author didn't want to portray weight loss as a necessary thing for one's self esteem, so they tried have their cake and eat it too and played it off for laughs. A bit clumsy maybe, but I honestly like it better than a lot of those shoujos where the protagonist "becomes beautiful," and then everything is great for them.

I still don't know what Shion's plan was supposed to be, but whatever it was, it was clearly a terrible plan. I guess maybe she doesn't even know.

Oh fuck off Japan, calling 52.6kg overweight for an adult woman. God I hope no one reads this as a serious weight-loss manga over there, they'll bloody kill themselves.

While I agree that it's probably be better to deal with a more average person, a weight in the lower 40s of kg isn't unusual for a serious, young, female, long distance runner. If they'd said she was a gymnast, if probably would have been more believable, but still not an average person for sure.

And yes, there is a disconnect between the kind of training that a long distance runner does to get there, and the kind of low calorie diet plus light exercise that this manga is using, but that doesn't mean that everything held within is bad advice.

The recipes themselves seem pretty normal for diet food.

Yes, they have a "pair," look going on. That's what the kids are calling it these days, eh?

Also, the arm stretch on page 9 was amazing. Love the art so much.

Although I'm not sure I would follow their diet, it's nice to see some decently factual stuff in a fun manga. That bit about basal metabolic rates was a nice touch.

Wow, this went from sweet to cringe real fast.

This would be a good spot in the relationship for the relationship to end. If you can't respect your partner's wishes, then find someone else.

Talk about mood whiplash.
Protag's Girlfriend: "I'm breaking up with you! Just kidding, feels pretty bad, huh?"
Protag's Girlfriend a few pages later: "You should always trust me!"
Me: "Are you yankin' my chain here?"

This may be a work of fiction using plot devices for drama, but serious relationship advice here. Don't threaten to break up with your partner to teach them a lesson.

And here I was expecting the number to be too smudged and she ends up calling the wrong number.

Feels kind of like "Gaslighting: the Yuri Manga." At this rate, I might have to wait until the end and then read it backwards.

I dunno if that's why standard romcoms always end when the couple gets together, but to be fair, half the stuff that happens in standard romcoms is pretty unrealistic and almost never happens in real life either.

Where's the rest? I keep hitting next, but nothing happens! ;_;

who the hell wears a bra to sleep

I'm guessing that's the author signaling to the audience that they immediately went to sleep instead of doing other nightly activities off camera?

There's just no pleasing some people. They are together, what do people expect to happen after that? This is why most stories end at the "getting together" part, because so many people need to complain about their lack of satisfaction afterwards.

I've always found it kind of weird that writers don't know what to do with a story once "getting together," happens. In my experience, even when people get together and have a healthy relationship, life doesn't stop being life. The troubles they face just aren't them fighting amongst themselves.

Love the chill no-drama.

If/when the author does decide to throw in some drama, I hope it's framed as the two of them working together to figure things out, rather than the standard trope of "have a big dramatic fight and falling out, then make up." (Which always reminds me of an abusive relationship more than a healthy one.)

Predictions for upcoming drama? Coming out to parents, trying to get into the same school/not going to the same school and having to balance their time?

I'm not really sold on the drama. It's not a difficult question, is it? She saved your life, and you're going to be horrible to her? No thanks.

It's like reading a math manga and the protagonist is agonizing over whether "2+2=5" or not. (Psst! It doesn't.)

I almost didn't start reading this because the premise sounded like it might be uncomfortable, but I'm glad I did. How are these two so cute?

(Also, that is one meticulously rendered mechanical pencil on pages 2, 3, and 4. No doubt the artist had a reference right in front of them.)

Anyone knows which chapter this battle of the bands arc ends, so I can pick this back up again?

Re: chapter 99. Does anyone have a diagram of the various unrequited love geometry in this story? I've completely lost track of all the side characters.

Re: chapter 100. Yessss!

There's a very simple reason why Hiiragi is getting more backlash from the audience than Tsubaki.
• Tsubaki: tries to be nice to her sister out of good will but hurts her on accident.
• Hiiragi: tries to deceive her sister out of malice and hurts her on purpose.

"Deceive: a statement or action to mislead, hide the truth, or promote a belief or idea that is not true. Often for personal gain. A major relational transgression that often leads to feelings of betrayal and distrust."

Wow, Hiiragi just keeps getting worse and worse. How can someone who is supposedly so talented be so dumb?

It's not even like I can't understand her situation. I was totally overshadowed by my older sibling growing up, they always won the awards and my parents always gave them all the love and attention, while I was scolded and punished for not living up to the standard. We even fought occasionally, but I don't think I was ever so utterly devoid of awareness that I couldn't recognize someone else's good intentions.
